I am 52 years old. I thought I was doing the thing by putting my savings into peer to peer lending. Funding Circle looked like a company with a name and good reviews. I was wrong.
From the day I started using Funding Circle I could not figure out what Funding Circle actually does or how Funding Circle works. Nothing made sense to me. The Funding Circle website is confusing. The explanations that Funding Circle gives are not clear. Every time I asked Funding Circle a question I got an answer from a person at Funding Circle. Nobody at Funding Circle seemed to know how the Funding Circle platform works.
I decided to close my Funding Circle account. It was the thing I ever did but even that was a nightmare. I had twelve thousand five hundred pounds stuck with Funding Circle. Funding Circle kept telling me that my money was being processed or was pending review. Weeks turned into months. I did not get my money back. I did not get a timeline for when I would get my money. I just got silence and automated emails from Funding Circle.
I felt like an idiot for trusting Funding Circle.
Then I found Poma Advisory. I am not going to pretend it was easy. It was not easy all. It took months of working with Poma Advisory, a lot of paperwork and a lot of patience. There were times I thought I would never see my money again. In the end Poma Advisory. I got back every penny of my twelve thousand five hundred pounds.
Here is what I learned: if a company like Funding Circle is hard to understand from the start just walk away. Do not wait. Do not hope it will get better. If you get stuck with Funding Circle do not just sit there get help. Poma Advisory made a difference for me.
I have some advice for Funding Circle: Funding Circle should be clear about what Funding Circle does and how Funding Circle does it. Funding Circle should train the Funding Circle support team to give answers. When someone wants to close their Funding Circle account Funding Circle should make it simple and fast. Funding Circle should not hold peoples money for months.
Would I recommend Funding Circle to anyone? Absolutely not. Closing my Funding Circle account was the thing I did but even that was a fight, with Funding Circle.

Funding circle have been sending me junk mail for over 5 years.

Very helpful, patient and informative.

The app simply does not work - every single transaction on my card has to be verified - I goto the app and I am logged out - have to re-log in every time even though i have face recognition set up - reported this several times and they say its being fixed - using the card online takes longer than its worth - will look elswhere.

This company is waste of time. Spent nearly 1 and 1/2 month and kept chasing them just a quote but nothing. One person went on Annual leave. Other executive asked to do some changes on the application then send some documents. Then kept waiting and calling them, no response. After nearly a month and half they wanted more detailed documents. Waste of time, if you need finance urgently.

Aiden was amazing from beginning to start amazing and very good helped us very swiftly and has a good understanding of clients needs he was so helpful and amazing and guides us all the way through plus funds where available in good time

From start to finish it was an easy quick process. I got the funding i needed and Todd helped along the way.

A bit of hoop jumping to get everything sorted, but all went through without a delay.
Good communication via my account manager. I can recommend 👌

Regular contact & updates from Chelsea made for a smooth process. Funding was secured within a week of submitting the documents required. Used FC over 10 years ago and the process is just the same standard.

Funding circle provide a great service from start to finish. Very professional and thorough the application for the funding went smoothly and efficiently and I was kept informed all the way through about the process of the application. Funding came through very quickly

This is our third round of funding with funding circle and the process and service is very easy and responsive. Any company who is struggling with the inflexibility of high street banks should seriously consider them as an option.

This is not the company it once was. I applied for a loan in January, communication from Harry was very intermittent and poor. I could never get hold of him.
The system kept rejecting my bank statements even though they were downloaded exactly as requested, the reason being there were gaps missing. Those gaps were weekends and the Christmas period when we were closed and therefore no transactions took place.By March we just gave up and went with another company.

Funding Circle were very supportive throughout the process. Far quicker response than high street banks.

There were some complexities with our business structure, but the team took the time to understand our situation and work through the details with us.

Communication was clear, and the process was handled professionally from start to finish. A special thanks to Melisa Driza, who was particularly helpful and responsive throughout, ensuring everything moved forward smoothly.

Process was quick and simple, and significantly easier than through our bank, though with similar repayment options and costs.
