Worst support ever. Banned my account without any warnings, and didn't answer on my appeals. Good platform, but stupid internal AI system. I just asked in the comment if the person has photos of their tattoos on hands bc I'm looking new ideas, nothing illegal btch!

Signed up with my Google account & Reddit chose a random username. Some say we can change to preferred usernmae within 30 days, but it's complicated & a big headache...

Also, not sure why Trustpilot has listed the website as "blog.reddit.com" instead of "reddit.com"... How can there not be a page for such a popukar website?

Got permanently banned for saying jokingly saying that I would break into somebody's house so they could sign something for someone. Said "it promoted violence". Yeah right,it was a joke. And this same thing let a stupid Pedophile slide for how long?(strikingair9220)This is bullshit.

I am a long time user. In 9+ years I used it I found an immense treasure of information and new thoughts that widened my horizon. But the times changed. People who watch what you post and decide if you are allowed to or not changed. This current reddit is a cesspool of the most hateful and toxic left leaning insanity in the world. There is a fairly recognizable teeshort with an AK47 and phrase saying protect tarns people. This tshirt comes to mind first when I try to describe modern reddit. They hate you if you do not share their utopian hateful ideology. They will randomly ban and confirm it for: criticizing any minority actors, visiting deleted posts, claiming things that disagree with progressive narrative. I am scared to imagine seeing these people alive because I would not be sure about my physical safety.
This platform actively hunts and bans people from those few remaining subs that are filled with people who have longed abandoned using the rest of the reddit. I mostly browse criticaldrinker, I should have deleted my account but I guess this is a habit. In the last few years I never used cursed words or disrespected a single other user which did not help me to avoid 3 bans. And the way do it is even more disgusting. They delete the message which supposedly goes against their policies. They send you a message saying why they banned you with a link to that comment they deleted. To paraphrase: look at this horrible thing you wrote which we deleted to make sure you do not doubt what a horrible person you are. These people are not just religious or devoted to their ideology, they are insane, they destroyed reddit.
I will end this review with a simple fact. I got life threats on the internet 2 times, both times from this cursed platform. Think about that rilfe+protect trans people sign, that is the epitome of people who manage reddit.

There are nice users, some subreddits can be helpful, and you can find a subreddit for any topic or interest. It's not entirely bad. However, after browsing the site for over 10 years and reading many people's personal experiences, I can no longer ignore how toxic Reddit is. Every bad thing you've heard about Reddit is true.

Rude users who kneejerk downvote anything that goes against the hivemind, mock people instead of answering people's inquiries, subreddits are designed to be an echo chamber, Reddit Moderators and Admins won't do anything to change these issues and ban people for questioning them, disgusting subreddits that make you question human nature, and you need a certain amount of karma to post in subreddits. . . which can only be earned by posting.

If you can tolerate the immaturity, hivemind, power tripping mods and Admins, sexism and racism, and know-it-alls, you might enjoy or at least tolerate Reddit. In all honesty, I would recommend using another website or do something Redditors never do: go outside and live life offline.

Reddit has been trying to force their app on me, and I don't like it. Treat customers like pigs whom you try to force-feed your swill and this is what you'll get.

Impossible to use, highly discriminatory versus new users, anything you do will removed or banned right away. They should make it private and enjoy their strict rules by themselves. Even if you try to start your own community, you get banned immediately. Stay away from such waste of time, they don't deserve your energy.

I can fully confirm the 77% who gave reddit.com a single star-rating. It's really that bad. The moderation system is broken and made by incompetent people so I stopped using it after understanding this better. Going forward I don't recommend using Reddit but instead use other forums.

I have been a Reddit user for over 8 years and have earned more than 10,000 karma. Until recently, I had never experienced a serious issue with the platform.

About a month and a half ago, all of my posts suddenly stopped being visible to other users across every community. This appears to be some kind of account restriction or technical issue. Despite submitting an appeal and patiently waiting, I have not received a single response from Reddit’s support team.

What disappoints me the most is not just the restriction itself, but the complete lack of communication. As a long-time user with a positive history on the platform, I expected at least a human response or an update on my case.

A platform as large as Reddit should provide better support for loyal users. Waiting more than six weeks without any reply is simply unacceptable. I sincerely hope Reddit improves its customer support and gives users a fair opportunity to resolve account issues.

Registration e-mails don't arrive, SMS verification codes are incorrect, shadow banning, toxic moderators, server errors, bans, etc. etc.

It’s not even about being rude or extreme — just having an opinion that isn’t perfectly aligned with whatever the subreddit’s group‑think is that day.

The censorship isn’t official, but it’s everywhere. Mods delete stuff for “tone,” users mass‑report anything that makes them uncomfortable, and half the comments read like people are terrified of saying the wrong thing. It’s like everyone’s performing for each other instead of actually talking.

And the bubble is real. People don’t want discussion, they want insulation. They want a space where every idea is pre‑approved, pre‑filtered, and pre‑sanitized so nobody has to deal with the slightest bit of friction. If you poke the bubble even a little, you’re suddenly “hostile,” “problematic,” or whatever word they’re using this week to avoid actually engaging with what you said.

It used to be a place where you could throw ideas around, argue, maybe even learn something. Now it’s like walking into a room full of people wearing emotional hazmat suits. Everything has to be padded, softened, wrapped in ten layers of disclaimers. And if you don’t play along, you get shut down, deleted, or dog‑piled by people who clearly didn’t even read your whole comment.

Honestly, it’s kinda sad watching a platform that was built on open discussion turn into a self‑policed bubble where disagreement is treated like a threat. And yeah, maybe I’m exaggerating a bit, but it sure doesn’t feel like the Reddit I remember.

I've just wasted an hour trying to leave Reddit. The username that apparently links to my phone and Reddit account, isn't mine. I've changed my password, as I didn't have a record of it. Tried to disconnect my account from Google, or delete my account, but can't do either . It keeps telling me my new password is incorrect, even tho I've typed it meticulously, several times. Help pages take me round in circles. How on earth do you ever leave this platform??

Reddit is the most heavily censored platform on the internet. Posts and comments are shadow-deleted by bots and power-tripping moderators silently, without any explanation or notification whatsoever. Accounts get banned for no apparent reason, and the automated filter system is completely broken. Absolute worst user experience.

Reddit is completely toxic and filled with people who just want to downgrade you, fight with you and harass you. Also if you're a new user trying to get Karma is a hassle since most of the groups you need Karma to chat in anyway. I'd say stay clear of reddit. It's worse than Facebook and that's saying a lot.

Someone used my email to create like 20 different user names and now I have to delete them one by one by using password reset for each one. On top of that my email is banned from creating a real account because of this. How can Reddit have a system where someone could just use anyone's email without having the email owner approving the account creation? That is beyond me but I don't really care for a Reddit account now anyways, seems like a toxic place to be.

A despeacable platform, which caters to lgbtq+ topics and views and reprimends any opposing stance or comment. This platform is extremely discriminatory to non-lgbtq+ users and routinely violates the right to free speech, labeling it as "hate". I will be submitting my formal complaint to the US DOJ.
