Not worthy
This site only give download option if the user uploads any 5 documents and after uploading they scammed the user by giving only few pages of the book for which the user uploaded 5 documents. Totally dissatisfied.
I deleted my account, they are still taking my money
I deleted my account and canceled subsribtion and they are still taking my money. I wrote support to help me with this problem and it's been a week and they are still sending me the same emails I already responded to. I have to block their payments with my bank, otherwise they will be still taking my money.
I would not recommend
I would not recommend. Easy to overlook the fact that they continue to bill you even if you think you have unsubscribed. It is an overcomplicated process and refunds are time limited. The name Scribd looks like a general subscription without saying what their product is, so I didn’t realise they weren’t one of my charity payments. Built in obfustication!
Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. They charged me after I cancelled my account. I've exchanged several emails with them and we are getting nowhere. I sent proof of the unauthorized payment but they keep arguing with me. Scribd should be banned!
worst site ever
worst site ever, after downloading the file, the contents inside that is utter waste, it is different from the title
Misleading instructions
Misleading instructions. They said I must upload 1 file to download the one I wanted. I did, thamen it turned from 1 file to 5. So I gave up coz I saw where this was going. At the end I'll have to pay. Should've just said it from the start. I hate that.

I want to say Thank you! The assistance to resolve a problem was very accurate. A lot of pati nice and clear guidelines to have access to my books through my Scribd account. I love the App. Many books I can get to read. Owesome! ♥️
I’d give zero if I could
I’d give zero if I could. Scam company!
Charge after free trial cancelled and never responded to any follow up. I’ve reported them to the BBB.
AVOID
The website and my credit card statement say different things.
The website says I am currently on the free plan but I keep getting charged $9.99 a month. The help chatbot doesn't work.
Scammy!
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Scribd.
My subscription was upgraded by accident — a button was pressed unintentionally on my phone and the payment was automatically approved. I didn’t actively choose to upgrade or use any of the premium features.
Despite explaining the situation, Scribd refused to issue a refund, claiming the upgrade was “manual.” This feels unfair, especially since the service was not used at all.
Customer support response was polite, but not helpful in resolving the issue.
I would not recommend Scribd based on this experience. Be very careful — it’s too easy to be charged without meaning to, and getting your money back may not be possible.
ITS HELPFUL
its was very helpful for my exam and easy for memorize songs
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
I can’t remember starting a free trial but found I’d paid three months by PayPal before stopping the payment authority. READ ALL THE REVIEWS BEFORE GETTING INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY.
the worst text sharing site ever
the worst text sharing site ever. to download a single document, YOU NEED TO:
UPLOAD 5 DOCUMENTS THAT HAVE 10 PAGES MINIMUM
AND ALL THAT JUST TO DOWNLOAD A SINGLE FILE. i hope this company will go bankrupt.
Such a Bullshit Company!
I don't Even wanted to give it one star but unfortunately there is no zero. I wanted to download a document "English Grammer for 10th" and they said me to sign up first i signed up then they said: upload 5 fu*king documents to download it...
I needed one document
I needed one document. Downloaded it, and I was locked into a subscription plan I was not aware of.
I got scammed for 109.99 EURO today. I tried to resolve the issue, and all their lines of communication for conflict resolution lead to empty pages.
Furthermore, I filed a complaint via PayPal, for refund, and it was denied because "The payment was processed correctly."
I did not get any notification, that I am about to "Extend my subscription on Scribed."
This is a typical bullshit webpage which locks you into subscription. The subscription was cancelled on their website, but that doesn't matter. You still get billed for it via paypal.
THEY DON'T STOP DEBIT AFTER YOU CANCEL
There is no "cancel anytime" after you cancel your subscription. They WILL keep debiting your bank account. You have to then fight for your money after.
If you get the free trial, delete your account immediately after. It's so unfortunate because they have such great papers on there.

James Daily a Data Engineer from Rochester NY and employed at Scribd has been involved in some illegal "shenanigans" and can't be trusted.
0 star deserved
So bad ad every 10 seconds i dont even understand we have to post 5 documents for a download and that trial is absolutely waste
Scam company
Scam company . I unsubscribe 4 months ago, they still try to charge me more and more . I had to block them on revolut and everywhere . Be aware and dont subscribe
scam, pay and downloads fail despite set to download
scam. demands subscription AVOID
I thought this was a very old, honest organisation.
It seems not at all and my experiences matches all the other bad reviews.
Yes I followed the guidance etc etc.
Cancellation was easy; at least we will see if it really worked as I no longer trust these people. Sadly.
