Got suspended for following an artist

Got suspended today for following an artist that makes brushes for art programs. Unable to get my account back because all avenues to get it back are either blocked by ai or require me to pay for the premium subscription to verify my account.

After more than 10 years on X (formerly Twitter), I never imagined I would have such a disappointing experience.

As a paying X Premium (Blue Check) subscriber, I expected at least a basic level of customer service. Instead, there appears to be virtually none.

An X advertising representative, Trevor S., requested my company's W-9 for business verification. Because this is an official U.S. government tax document containing sensitive business information, I provided it in good faith. He then scheduled a video call, failed to attend, and ignored multiple phone calls and text messages.

After receiving no response, I sent a formal legal notice regarding my concerns over the handling of my business documentation. Only then did I receive a reply, stating that my account had been suspended for "inauthentic behavior." No meaningful explanation was provided, despite my account having existed for over a decade.

My biggest concern is not the suspension itself—it's the complete lack of transparency, accountability, and customer support from a platform that charges users for premium services.

Based on my experience, I would be extremely hesitant to trust future financial products associated with X, including X Money, until the company demonstrates that it can provide reliable customer support, transparent processes, and proper handling of customer accounts.

My experience has left me with little confidence in the platform, and unfortunately I cannot recommend it.

Same experience as many

Same experience as many, my account that I use to retweet and like art gets suspended, first one for inauthentic behavior, the next one for NO reason, just suspended out of the blue. Can't even begin to grasp a human response from anyone. Why??? Because it relies on A.I. slop to respond to anyone in need of support, there is no real way to contact anyone properly. But it's okay, blue check mark content farm is wholly welcomed on the platform.

X says they support free speech but they don't

X says they support free speech, but Liberals still run it and still censor conservatives. When an illegal alien tried to run over NICE agents and they self-defensed him into oblivion, I suggested that it might be better to not try to use your car as a weapon, and some liberal who works there nailed me for "urging violence" when it's CLEARLY exactly the opposite. They're so-called "appeal" processes garbage too. I've been waiting 2 days. They sanctioned the post within minutes.

I would give zero stars if I could

I would give zero stars if I could. My premium account was locked for “unusual activity.” I have to change my password to unlock my account but I can’t change my password without verifying my identity. I have filled out many report forms and repeatedly receiving responses that my identity can’t be verified even with my user name email addresses phone number and date of birth and payment method. I am being charged for an account that I am unable to access which could be considered fraudulent charges. The customer support for premium users is nonexistent.

Twitter support is nonexistent

Support service nonexistent, my account was flagged as being Inauthentic behavior on the 29th of June, irony is I never used my account that day and then I found out my account was comprised/ and literally hijacked by an hacker because my password and infos were the same I send multiple appeals! They never took it in and they keep my account suspended and responded in matter of seconds rather than minutes or even hours or days! which make me strongly believe it’s just a robot or something reading the appeals, that’s just so messy and wrong! because now in every email of my appeals they ask me to delete the posts but I just can’t! they suspended me, I can’t do nothing, not even delete my posts or account or change my password or something nothing!, now I’m just stuck with an unusable account because twitter support don’t wanna take in accountability that wasn’t me and I’m mostly on twitter with the same IP address and on my phone, so that just fully on there fault and not mine. I had a similar issues mounts ago and they flagged by account as being suspicious and maybe hacked, try my account was almost being account but with they support they helped me change my password and have no problem but now they don’t do nothing, just let make thousands of appeals for a robots emails to responds every seconds and minutes!

Disgusting app

It's extremely laggy and it's just a bunch of pedophilia, racism, sexism etc. on there and it's people defending CP(child p*rnography) and it's just disgusting. It was misogynistic art of women and stuff and people calling black people slurs. No. I uninstalled the app after a couple hours of downloading it, it's disgusting

A Farcical Disarray of Double Standards, Rogue AI, and Abysmal Customer Support — The 1.3 Rating is Too Generous

The Grand Illusion of "Free Speech" and Blatant Hypocrisy

The current state of X (formerly Twitter) is a masterclass in corporate hypocrisy and broken promises. While the platform boldly advertises itself as a sanctuary for absolute free speech, the reality is a dystopian nightmare of selective censorship. If you browse through any high-engagement thread, you will witness an absolute cesspool of unchecked vitriol, genuine hate speech, and derogatory slurs aimed at specific nationalities flowing completely unrestricted. Bot networks and bad actors operate with total impunity, flooding the platform with actual malice.

Yet, the moment an ordinary, authentic user engages in a heated discussion and uses a single colloquial or sharp term, the platform’s hyper-aggressive, poorly calibrated automated filters immediately intervene. There is zero nuance, zero contextual awareness, and a complete lack of consistency. Certain highly offensive slurs are completely ignored by the system, while other words trigger an instant, draconian crackdown. It is an embarrassing paradigm of double standards where the rules are applied completely arbitrarily.

The Cynical "Delete Post" Trap and Cruel Penalties

The platform's disciplinary framework is fundamentally dishonest and structurally broken. When a user is flagged by a rogue algorithm, they are met with a screen demanding they delete the offending post to regain access to their account. This is a manipulative illusion.

You comply, hit the "Delete" button, and expect the issue to be resolved. Instead, the system pulls a bait-and-switch: it permanently erases your content but maintains a punitive 7-day account suspension anyway. If the platform is going to enforce a rigid, week-long blackout regardless of the user's compliance, forcing them to delete the post beforehand under the guise of "unlocking" the account is a deceptive, bad-faith practice. It is a completely dysfunctional mechanism that penalizes cooperative users while failing to address real platform security.

A Dead Support System Controlled by Broken Bots

What makes the experience truly intolerable is the complete and utter evaporation of human customer support. Attempting to appeal a wrongful or overly harsh automated decision is an exercise in futility.

There are no human moderators reviewing context. There is no functional support ticket system. Every single appeal is met with an instantaneous, generic, copy-pasted auto-reply generated by the exact same flawed AI that issued the ban in the first place.

The platform has completely insulated itself from its user base, choosing to let poorly coded algorithms run the asylum. Genuine accounts are silenced for days over trivial linguistic triggers while crypto-scammers, adult bots, and actual malicious actors hijack the replies of every major post. X has degraded into an unusable, hostile, and deeply unfair environment. A 1.3-star rating is an overstatement for a platform that treats its real user base with such profound contempt.

"inauthentic behavior"

I was banned for "inauthentic behavior" with an entirely automated appeal process that gives you no way to prove that you are human. Awful experience, they have zero customer service.

Dysfunctional, broken AI "moderation"

Dysfunctional, broken platform. Poor, nonsensical AI moderation.

Get daily notices that I "have reached the maximum limit for daily posts" - despite, at times, getting the error message the very first time I log in, or try to post or re-post, each day. Has been ongoing since shortly after Musk acquired Twitter.

Get random posts falsely flagged for "TOS violations," leaving my account locked for extended periods of time; attempting to appeal faulty claims yields no timely results; suspensions remain in effect for the full duration; X/Twitter only reviews the appeal after the suspension lifts, sends email, admitting fault, and that "no violation occurred" (again, only after the suspension ran its full duration).

Get account randomly locked; required to pass a CAPTCHA to "prove you're a human;" do so, with no issues; account unlocked, provided with vaguely generic, threatening "remember to read the rules" message, despite not specifying any violations. Seen other users report the same issue.

Get account randomly locked; twitter vaguely alludes to "authenticity" violations, provides no evidence or specifics. Meanwhile other offending accounts/behaviors left untouched by X/Twitter's AI moderation, including, but not limited to, porn-bots, spam-bots, malicious/fraudulent "recover your password" bots, cryptocurrency-bots, accounts engaging in stalking/harassment, pedophilia, etc...

AI replies from X/Twitter vaguely allude to "logging into your account and completing the on-screen instructions" to "restore account functionality," yet no such instructions are presented when logging into X/Twitter.

As of 7/1/26, X/Twitter fraudulently claiming human verification required, pushing digital ID verification/privacy violations.

I never thought that I would get…

I never thought that I would get scammed by an actual social media app, even though I have a verified account, which I paid for, and I got wrongfully suspended permanently from the platform with little to no details. Just one evening, I received an email that said I was suspended for inauthentic behavior, even though everything I post is very original.

Plus, as the appeal usually doesn't work for some reason, a company this size can't even answer an appeal made by an actual customer, not just a free user.

My experience with X

My experience with X has been genuinely frustrating and has made the platform feel unreliable and poorly run. My account was suspended without any clear explanation, and the appeal process offered no meaningful communication or human response, which is unacceptable for a service that holds personal messages, posts, and contacts. Being locked out without justification feels both disrespectful and deeply inconvenient, especially when there is no real path to resolution. The overall experience makes the platform feel inconsistent and careless with users’ time and data, to the point where it’s difficult to see it as a dependable service anymore.
