I've ordered over 20 times from them and I'm very happy. I don't understand why they have so bad reputation. If you are unsure, you can just order the cheapest cigarette one carton. Your max loss is less than $20 and you can save a lot of money on cigarettes. This company deserves more!
I ordered a box of Lucky Strike reds, two small bags of Clan rolling tobacco, and a small box (5 small bags) of Mac Baren Vanilla Cream pipe tobacco on February 13, 2014 online. I was order number 533186. It processed and I got a call on the 17th from them. It is now March the 3rd and I just received my order all in one large box. I had read some negative reviews about the company while I was waiting for my order to arrive and was honestly very nervous, but it seems like all of the people that had problems getting their order are in Europe? I am a California resident by the way. On the side of the package, it says: RETURN- C.I.E. LTD. P.O. BOX 5048. Rishon Letzion 75150, ISRAEL Maybe this will be useful to those having issues?
I had a bad experience last year with a Ukranian company but decided to try online purchase one last time. I have had no problems and received a very courteous and professional phone call from their office when there was a problem using a Spanish credit card. I've just placed a repeat order...... No I don't work for the company!
Ordered 2 cartons of More cigarettes as they don't sell them in Australia anymore, on the 9th October 2013, and my Visa was charged $104 straight away.
Phoned Australia Post 2 days ago as they don't allow tracking online of Registered International parcels, and was told the tracking number didn't even exist, but called again today, 13th November, only to be told that there is no record of it arriving in Australia, and that it hasn't left Israel yet where it is apparently coming from. I also phoned customs and it hasn't been siezed by them, which I would have heard from Australia Post first anyway, besides the fact it hasn't arrived in Australia, and found out that customs duty will cost more than I paid for the cigarettes, making it more expensive than buying them from my local store and receiving them straight away.
Although I have had prompt responses to my emails, and they have always been polite, they keep telling me that my order has been sent, with conflicting dates of 15th and 21st October. I'm on a disability pension due to a knee injury so I can ill afford to lose this money. It has left a very bad taste in my mouth, and is causing me quite some distress, as I was very wary about ordering online from overseas. If all went well I was going to place orders on a regular basis, so needless to say, I won't be ordering from them again. I can't say I can fault their customer service, just yet anyway, but I don't believe I will receive the order, nor do I believe I will be refunded unless they get the order returned to them, where-ever the Hell it is.
What I find difficult to comprehend, is why some customers have had a really good experience, while others have had nothing but problems. As far as I can see, they either are not legitimate (with fake reviews from their employees), or they really need to step up on the way they conduct their business.
Have had 2 orders. First was fine received whiskey with 10 days. Second order had two bottles. One came other didn't. Emailed them two days alter they sent another bottle. Second one took about 35 days
I rarely write any product / website reviews and was nervous when I placed an order on dutyfreedepot.com due to all of the negative feedback! I placed an order approx. 2 weeks ago for delivery to Canada and received my order today. The item was very quickly delivered to Canada, I didn't have to pay any duties and the product was as described. A lot of people are saying that all of the positive reviews are from employees of dutyfreedepot.com but I can assure you that this review is based on actual customer experience. I have NO IDEA why others have had such issues, I will be placing another order tomorrow. If anyone doubts the validity of this review please feel free to contact me.
If there is no star, we would rather give no star to this company. Please be careful they would charge your credit card without sending anything over! Since it is happened and in order to protect our right and money, all people would contact the credit card company to dispute, then their customer support start to giving us threaten and keep asking for full amount. If anyone who has never received anything for the goods that he or she plans to purchase, it's consumer's right to dispute the payment without any legal issue! Any company can't threaten any consumer for any reason but this company is doing such thing and do not treat consumers as human beings. We strongly suggest you to stay away from this company, and don't waste your time and money on this terrible seller.
Well where do i start ? Ive had endless problems with this so called company ! Ive ordered from them and paid my dues but as youll proberly guess goods mmm some came through but most got seized even though i paid extra insurance in case of such matters and still they have given me the run around .
They are not replying to my emails saying because i send to many emails they have been coming up as spam on thee system its only an excuse i send an email wait a good 3 to 4 days and nothing so i send another nothing .
I look at my credit card account to find they have done like some other people have mentioned cancelled my orders BUT TAKEN MY MONEY .
They put on there website that ive been refunded yeah right nothing ive waited and waited nothing now im not getting any replies ive even tried using numerous email accounts i have to see if they will reply but you can all guess NOPE NOTHING .
I have no choice but to contact my credit card company to open a dispute over orders that they have cancelled or not arrived they have had my money but for no goods or refunds issued , they list it as refunded on there website ,just a big scam there so quick to take my money then the day after cancelled my order , but youve guessed right they took my money !
They have been playing games with me all along . I just wish id read these reviews before i had parted with my hard earned cash . Well we shall see if anyone will contact me via this method but i doubt it ive sent over 20 emails but now ive had enough there so quick to take your money but they just dont give a damn , one quick note i must add on my credit card the transactions come up as somewhere in china taking the money so it makes sence to put 2 + 2 together and this is most likely where the cigarettes come from as listed by someone else .

Dont take out any orders with them , even the extra insurance they say covers you in case of loss or seizure ,, because i was clearly told if they give you points because an order gets seized or lost they lose money by doing this , yeah right they get your money we get nothing , thats why they there , there in an win win situation .

I have never had a problem with this company, I order my items, pay by echeck and have them in 2 wks. I get confirmation that my order went thru. That is it. I am + that if there where unhealthy substances being put in these cigs that this company would have been shut down along time ago.
This company advertises as a "duty free shop" offering authentic international cigarette brands at bottom dollar prices. DON'T BE FOOLED! The cigarettes you will receive will be illegal counterfeits smuggled out of China. These fake cigarettes are illegal and extremely dangerous to your health. Scientists who have analyzed Chinese cigarette knockoffs have found elevated levels of toxic heavy metals like arsenic, cadmium and lead, as well as human feces, saw dust, mold, insect eggs and rat droppings. These crooks operate out of Israel and are therefore beyond the reach of any international law enforcement agency.
I received 2 cartons of Marlbo Reds from these unscrupulous crooks that were sold as "made in Switzerland" and "made in Philippines" but whose appearance was identical to several photos of counterfeit cigarettes posted on the websites of Chinese cigarette counterfeiters like Liwong.com. Not only that, but the labeling on both the carton and individual cigarette packs showed OBVIOUS pixelation, which demonstrates that were, in fact, printed using a scanned computer image. It goes without saying that the official manufacturers do NOT do this!
I later realized after doing some research that ALL of the products they sell are indeed COUNTERFEIT. The quality of the reproduced cigarettes varies according to brand, but NONE of them are authentic! See for yourselves! Check out Liwong.com and compare them to the photos on their sites. Don't make the fatal mistake of believing these Israeli gangsters when they tell you that they only stock authentic products. It is an unequivocal LIE!
I have been defrauded to the tune of nearly $2000 dollars by this company! And the entire time they have exposed me to the toxic cocktail of chemicals and compounds present in their illegal Chinese cigarettes manufactured in underground complexes, with absolutely no concern or compunction for the health and welfare of those who end up unwittingly inhaling these lead and feces-laced Chinese toxic waste dumps masquerading as factory fresh European cigarettes.

On 10/02/2010 I ordered carton of smokes order number 117151 for 15.99, a week later i am told the order was canceled. I get my credit card statement and it shows a charge of 15.99 on 10/02/2010. I asked Jane, Saar, and other Dutyfree depot associates if that order was indeed canceled and they sent me the cancellation number and assured me it was canceled. So I do what anyone would do, I called my credit card company and disputed the charge. I'll be damn I pay for something I didnt receive. Anyhow a couple days later Anita (another associate) calls my phone saying there was a misunderstanding and she would send out that order immediately as long as I cancel the dispute. So I say fine I call and cancel the dispute I end up getting my smokes and the charge of 17.59 was on my next statement for that particular order. I dont know why it went from 15.99 to 17.59 but anyhow i am not worried about it. Now a few weeks later I get e-mails from Jack, Saar, or the Site period saying they do not tolerate chargebacks blah blah blah and now I have a minus -1387 on my account, and getting hell like I did something wrong. Plus this isnt the first time dealing with problems on orders. Now I am getting all kinds of crap from Saar Levin, like i did something wrong. So for yall that read this, Do you think I was supposed to pay the charge even though I was told by 3 different Dutyfree depot employees that my order was indeed canceled?? After reading all these reviews and the same on other sites I see I am not the only one dealing with their crap. Im done with them and so are many ppl I told about this site. Also if you go down to September 13th 2009, there is a good review from a SAAR LEVIN, he is the product manager of the site so I think its funny how he writes a review like he is a customer.
So I ordered a box of Marlboro Lights to Switzerland. This dude, Saar Levin ( who has also reviewed and rated himself excellent below - fraudster! ) promised me that I won't have to pay import duties. I also mentioned to him that I am receiving it at a Business Location where irrespective of any preferences, the reception pays for my mail if it has duty and I have to reimburse them.
Mr. Saars company actually declares the box as ciggerettes while mailing it from Israel. To add insult to injury, he even puts in this nice card inside which says " Duty Free Depot ".
Yeah like the customs guys are uneducated dude!! This is Switzerland man, not some village in Israel where ppl trip on LSD.

I have been unable to resolve for over two months! They took the money out of my account within two days, and haven't received a damn thing! Numerous email, many false promises, and I'm still out over $200.
By the way, the second review from Saar Levin: He is the program manager for Duty Free Depot - so you can just forget his review!!
