Yeahh... I am writing as if speaking to the friend... But what if the envious gossipmongering foe would read it?.. Had anybody conducted the aftermath of the trips surveys, how the tourists were treated upon returning home, to theirs locality... Especially, possibly, by some very wicked utility companies, and local ZEUs like, probably, Upravlyayushaya Kompaniya of Tula... On April 14th, 2014 at around 10:15 again the electricity was cut off in our apartment building... or if someone would ring on the door bell to check the gas pipes (something related to the gas circulation - collector) all of a sudden and would be stumping into the dirty boots into the apartment...
...But with the edreams I had the great experience!
Picked and booked flights as per usual. Final cost amounted to $250, at the final confirmation of flights and payment a small tab appeared at the top. which read something along the lines of, "Since starting this booking the airline has increased the price of your selected flights by $65." Finding this strange I cancelled the booking and tried again. Once again at the confirmation stage this happened again, this time I accepted it.
I received the booking confirmation from the airline (Not Edreams) in my email, which showed that the booking amounted to $250. The $65 is not in fact the "Airline increasing the price during this booking" but Edreams way of completely ripping the customer off.
..No wheelchair on ticket although ordered..nothing on ticket to state this ...it will cost me over a £1 a minute to phone them ...I also had to pay £20 plus for them booking the ticket ...I also have to pay them for booking in on the over a £1 a minute .....this is a terrible experience
Superou as nossas expectativas....
This is the first time my husband and I used Edreams. While vacationing in Spain, we thought why not use this European company. And with the limited access to internet, we were able to do it very quickly. We were certainly satisfied with the selection provided, the locations of hotels and rates. Wont hesitate to use Edreams again in the future.
I booked a single flight from Santiago to Iguazu Falls changing at Buenos Aires. When I had paid I realised I had a return on some obscure day some three weeks later?? I had an international flight to Heathrow 2 days later from Buenos Aires I was using a very old computer in an isolated Hostel but don't feel I can blame that so it cost me very dearly
Tried to book airline tickets, did not receive tickets, on contact with yourselves you advised airline unable to accept booking at short notice. However you did not communicate this to me, THE customer
I stayed there for 3 nights and I did not have any problem with my room. The hotel is simple but it has everything I was looking for: comfortable bed and hot shower. However, it is distance from the city centre, you'll spend between 30 minutes and 1h30 to get to some London attractions, but there are plenty of options of train, buses and underground nearby. I think in the overall it was worth it.
I tried to book a ticket with them after being redirected with momondo. They said it was not possible to make the booking but to try again. I did so and when it came up as ok to book and I did so, their engine changed the date without me noticing. There was no facility for me to do this, it happened automatically. I was then charged more. Which is not terrible.
What was terrible was that I emailed all of their email explaining what had happened and asked to correct this. One of them replied to say call us. I did but one of the numbers on their website was not in operation the other had some message in spanish and the line then was cut off. I emailed them again and they said just call us. And that was it.
Until I got their feedback request for the airlines a week later. They will be better off making themselves a charity to help the incompetent people pretending to work there. Unless they are all bots. Needless to say I just booked directly with another airline.
The widest search and great prices could be found, but there are not final . First there is a credit card and site commission addition that shown ONLY after all the data is filled, (289$ became 358$ for payment ). This "bait and switch" trick is low. No Paypal payment possible-huge disadvantage. And like it happened to me- some local tax was added by the hotel because it is the law in that country-Should have been mentioned at the final offer . But it was in the small print and an unpleasant surprise.
28/03/2014 - 14:00 - From Myself to eDreams: Dear sir/Madam,
I have just been on the phone to one of your customer service representitives, asking for information of a cancelling bookings. Although she was not unable to inform me about the exact details of refund procedures, she kindly pointed me this direction so put forward my case.
So i will explain and attach the relevant documents,
firstly the tickets were for my wife who has recently been granted a uk visa (after years of complications) to see her family - which she has not seen in 22 years (as she has been living in the US - newyork until 2012)
the other ticket (for 4 weeks later was for myself) - as you can understand, I wanted to let her have time with her family without me in the way, after such a long seperation from them.
This morning, I dropped her off at the airport, and within half an hour, I got a call, she told me that the lady at the desk said she needs a U-S visa to effectively "change plane" to complete the flight.
I was wholly unaware of this requirement, Nothing on the website said anything about requiring a visa just to change plane.
at this point I expected it may just be a stamp, seeing as she not has UK-Residency AND has already spent 20 years in the US??
Seems that is not the case, after 3 hours of filling out visa forms (just to set foot for 3 hours while switching plane) I find out that she must attend an interview (see attachment - Visa_appointment_dates.jpg) and the very earliest is on the 19th of may! (well after both of us are supposed to have returned) - and this is just for the interview, I have no idea how long the lead time is after that - judging by previous government response times, this could literally be months.
So as you can expect, she is utterly destraught, her family too are devastated.
At this point it certainly feels like we have lost everything, Our only feasable option is to ask if the tickets could be refunded (I understand that your policies may not put us in the category of refundable) - but I urge you to consider the situation, not from my perspective - but from my wifes.
If think I you were able to do this for me, I may be able to combine the costs of the two tickets and save up for a non-stop return flight just for her, this may be the only chance she gets to see her parents again.
Kind Regards, Andrew Knowles

We have found you have proceeded to modify this booking with the airline. Please proceed to inform if any service is necessary from our side.
I have not proceeded to modify the booking. - The lady at the check in area, felt so bad for my wife that she adjusted the ticket for her (for 4 weeks later) however as explained in my email prior to this one, it will not do us the slightest bit of good.
However we believe we may still be able to get her to see her parents, if we take a completely different route - UK > Spain > El Salvador
Is it possible to change the Claudia's ticket to take this route and change the dates also? - I understand there will be charges involved.
Kind Regards, Andrew Knowles

In order to make a change you will need to contact our call center because part from penalties that you would eventually need to pay to the airline we need to inform you over the fare in that moment. As these tend to change often we would then need your immidiate consent so that we can charge the correct amount and apply the change.
Would you be kind enough to refund the ticket then? Seeing as it has almost 4 weeks until the flight, it leaves adequate time to be re-sold, so eDreams would not have lost out.
Really, your website should atleast indicate that a visa is required for changing plane in the united states. This is not something that the general public know about, or would know to even look. infact there was another customer in the same queue as us who had be misinformed in the exact same manner, and he too - was unable to board the flight he had booked.
With regards to changing the flight, I do not think that eDreams have any flights that would allow my wife to travel to the destination she requires with the current paperwork she has.
If you are able to cancel just Claudia's flight, then i may be able to arrange for her to fly by some other means. and still use my ticket, as I have a UK passport and can apply for the ESTA paperwork.
I do wholly understand that this would only apply in a good-will gesture situation, Seeing as I have spent the best part of £1200, and am only asking for refund of one ticket, would you deep this to be fair?
Please note that Edreams was informing to you on the confirmation email, about you have to take care about visa and documents in order to travel: Notes and Advice
Your travel documentation • Attention! Adults, children and babies must all be in possession of a current individual passport (identity cards are accepted on certain domestic and European Union flights). Family record books are not accepted. Some airlines reserve the right to request the bank card used to pay for the ticket. We recommend arriving at the airport check-in desk at least two hours before your flight departs. • Note: You must ensure that you comply with local customs, police and health regulations. Please check information on governmental websites necessary to travel (passport, visa, and vaccines). It is your responsibility to comply with these formalities. You will not be entitled to any form of reimbursement if you are denied boarding by not presenting the documents required (passport, visa, and vaccines certificate). • Note: eDreams reserves the right to refuse to issue tickets or to require additional documents under the terms of its own security policy.
Other information Note: We cannot guarantee the price indicated on this page before your tickets are issued. The tickets will be issued when we have processed your credit card transaction. Important for payments with a debit card: If you paid your booking with a debit card, you may receive a temporary extra charge in your card. The first one is the effective charge of your ticket total amount and the second one is a temporary charge of the same amount. This second charge will automatically disappear from your account between one week and a month. This often occurs for transactions with travel agencies Spanish banks, card suppliers and IATA.
It's very clear. You have the responsability to travel with the corresponding documents and if you don't which are the one, you should contact to the police or the embassy and they could inform you which document do you need to bring to visit your country destination, if it's necessary.
Regarding the cancellation policy please note that this is a non refundable ticket so in case to cancel only few air tax could be refunded to you.
01/04/2014 - 14:47 - My Reply: Dear Sir/Madam,
Further to my previous email, I would like to point out that we are NOT actually going to the USA, so why would we have even considered a visa was required as we are NOT visiting this country, simply because the plane needs to stop and refuel while a passenger waits should not be considered a "VISIT" to the country.
Where in the text below does it state that I need a visa for an international flight connection? I have a Passport that is valid, I am a citizen of the country of the flight destination. I have a visa stamp in my passport that allows me to enter and exit the UK.
I have been more than reasonable. You are fully aware that a Ticket with 4 weeks remaining could VERY easily be refunded and re-sold with literally ZERO loss to yourselves whatsoever.
At this point I would like to inform you that in the event that this airline decides to essentially rip-me-off, all of this information, including the email conversations will be posted on every social media site I can think of, and being in the position I am in, this will reach an awful lot of people - the customer service/basic courtesy I have received will be widely available for the general public to find with ease.
Response: Dear client,
We are not responsible for passengers to be eligible to fly in determined countries. It is the passengers responsibity to be informed before purchasing a ticket.
Please get in touch with our call center in order to apply any change or cancellation if possible.
Looking back to the first email - I explained that I had infact got this email address FROM the call center... they told me to submit my case to this email address, because they could not put me through to anyone more senior or with authority to refund.
its all just a cheap "get out of jail free card" tactic by not stating that you need a visa to switch plane in the USA. - ONE LINE OF TEXT was all i needed. ONE LINE.
But that would mean less sales wouldn't it eDreams?
After asking them which department of the company had been lying to me they ceased communication.
Just at the purchase stage, the $276 went up to $304 per ticket--a 10% add-on. I noticed some fine-print about check-in luggage. With some difficulty--from the Iberia website rather than eDreams--I learn that I will pay another $45 for each checked bag, for a total price of $350 which is $25 more than what I will pay at Iberia. The confirmation email eDreams sent me is deliberately misleading about the luggage and contains no customer service number. So if you see a flight you like on eDreams, go to the carrier and buy it directly.
I booked a flight to Tampa in the USA on 14th March to leave Gatwick at 1pm on 16th March. I booked my car into long stay at a cost of £85 and had an hotel booked in Tampa for the same night. I arrived at the BA desk in good time- thank goodness, to discover that E Dreams had cancelled my flight!!!! They took my money on 14th March and -to date- it has not been returned. The sales desk at BA advised me that this is NOT THE FIRST TIME that this has happened. I immediately telephoned E-Dreams and was first left on hold for a very long time- I then rang back, to be told by a woman that there was a "glitch" in the system. I asked for my flight to be reinstated she refused, I asked to speak to her Manager but was told that there were no Managers in the building, I asked to have my money refunded as I needed to buy a new ticket NOW but was told - not possible- I must claim when I return to the UK!!!! I have now returned and will be making every effort to get my money back and will also be advising Money Mail of this Company's trading practices, I did not want to award this Company any stars- but unfortunately the system does not allow this.
