I've had better
When I first came across Oldies.com I was very excited. Lots of vinyl at pretty great prices. Then I made the mistake of placing an order....
Firstly, it took over a week to process, then about 3 weeks for an incomplete order to arrive. I ordered two albums and only received one. No explanation.
Secondly, I call customer service, wait about 20 mins to speak to a rep, and then get disconnected.
Thirdly, I send an email to customer service, no response.
Fourth, I call again. This time I get someone and find out that my second album is sold out. Funny, it didnt say that on the website or when they processed it or when they supposedly shipped it. A note or email would have been nice, I could have picked another album.
Fifth, now waiting to see if they charged me for two albums.
I will NEVER order from OLDIES.com again!

For me, with apologies to Robert Louis Stevenson,Oldies is Treasure Island.
As a Brit it is so great to be able to acquire classic old hollywood DVDs at such a fair price....and, the disks play on euro-players too!
I feel so priviledged to be able to gain access to such a treasure trove of movie/tv history, all power to Oldies.

Disappointed
I have bought records from oldies records for many years this last time I was disappointed with the actions of your system. I ordered four records and other things I call after the due date and was told that there waiting for one record, so I was told that it will be shipped in a week. So I received the shippment with only three records. If that person would have said we CAN't FIND This record I would have taken some other record. what bothers me I paid for a full shippment 13?????dollars. You people have my phone # If there was a bigger problem you would have called........These are Xmas presents NOW I have to go around town to find ONE MORE RECORD and lost all this time to do it. IF YOU DON't have something LETS US KNOW !!!!!!!!!!!!

v. slow ship + inaccurate inventory = arrives late + don't get what i ordered
i initially felt excited to discover oldies vinyl selection and prices and on cyber monday i took advantage of their additional discount pricing and placed two sizable orders -totaling 16 records and almost $300 -super deal with cyber monday pricing. the first order shipped about 5 days later -slow and acceptable. the second took over two weeks to ship -slow and highly undesirable, given that oldies indicated that it had everything in stock. worse, the first order arrived minus one item. based on what oldies charged the credit card the second order will likely arrive without at least a couple of items. i find it disappointing because i could have taken advantage of cyber monday discount prices on other websites and ordered the items there. my first experience with oldies leaves me unmotivated to return. firstly, i distrust the online inventory status and secondly lack confidence their ability to execute in a timely manner. i purchase a lot of vinyl online and thought i had found a new website from which i would likely purchase vinyl. instead, given experience -perhaps an aberration, i find it likely that i shall rarely shop oldies. in fact, i placed several orders for vinyl in the past few days and b/c of this experience, i didn't consider oldies. no ill feelings. live and learn. i expect that oldies will thrive w/o my business.

An OLDIE buying OLDIES from OLDIES.COM
I am a movie collector that buys from many sources because not everyone has the rights to sell all the titles I need for my collection. I have been buying CDs and DVDs (& VHS/BETAs) from them for probably twenty years. OLDIES.com has a very good turn-around time, whether I order from their catalog or on-line. They ship quickly and accurately and it's always a pleasure to sit down and open the packages when they arrive.
If I have any complaint, it would be that sometimes they have items in their catalogs that stay in there after the item has sold out. For that reason I've done more on-line ordering, even though I prefer sending in my order with a check.

This is the first place I check when I'm looking for a DVD, CD, Book or a collectible. A great selection and the price is right. Good customer service fast shipping and the ability to track your shipments.

You can order anything you want, but you won't get it.
Two of the three items I ordered online weren't sent because they were "out of stock," and this company refuses to back order them - a policy conspicuously missing from their advertising. Amazon manages to keep their computer inventory current - why can't Oldies? I ended up paying six dollars shipping on a twelve dollar order. What a ripoff. They graciously informed me that I was free to re-order the other items (and pay more shipping), without any assurance that they'd be available. Fat chance. One definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, while expecting different results. I may be dumb, but I'm not crazy. My $ and I will go elsewhere.

Never a wait, never a problem.
Oldies always sends my orders fast, and they almost never arrive any way but earlier than expected, well packaged. I love finding DVDs of classic films and underrated treasures on their site or in their mailers. Their Alpha Video films are often amazing films at wonderful prices. Like visiting a summertime matinee at a lovely movie palace in the 1920s or 30s. I recommend them highly.

Impatient Customer Service and a Damaged Item
I was supposed to get two LPs in the mail and only received one. The other LP I bought was not sold out when I bought it but it did not ship. When I called customer service the woman was very short and defensive with me rather than being courteous. I was not losing my temper so I thought her reaction was uncalled for. Turns out the LP sold out even though the site never said it did and no email or contact was ever made in regards to the other LP. The one album I did receive was slightly damaged at the top corner (it was supposed to be a gift) and the customer service representative told me I could pay to have it shipped back and they would reimburse me. Since it took over two weeks to ship it in the first place I lived with the slightly damaged LP cover. I will not be buying records from Oldies anymore and do not recommend that other people do either.

Oldies.com is the only place to go for 45's and cd's. Prices are great, service is the best. If you're looking for something hard to find, check here first. They have music I forgot all about. I would recommend Oldies.com to everybody.

Bad policy
I have always had good service from Oldies.com until my latest order. An item that I ordered was out of stock and I did not learn of this until I received the rest of my order a week later. There was a notation on the invoice that the company does not place items on back-order or notify the customer when the order.is placed. During Christmas shopping season, a week's delay can sometimes cause problems. Is it really too much effort to send an email?

Great difficult music hard to find is with Oldies.com now
I was surprised that a DVD was sent to me in an envelope and nothing else to protect the DVD. I would put a cardboard on each side to protect the DVD.

"Oldies but Goodies"
At age 78 my babysitter was the movie houses in my hometown. MGM at the Arcade
theater, Republic Pictures at the Edison, and Warner Bros. at the Lee theater, etc.
For me at this time of life, being able to see them all over again in my own home
theater is a miracle to be thoroughly enjoyed. My setup is at least as good as the
original presentation with surround sound and 6 ft. by 8 ft. screen to project them on.
Your organization is a regular part of my life. I look forward to the monthly catalogs.

Great For Old Time Movies
Oldies are on of the best sites for browsing for that rare old film that you have been searching for ages the odds are you may well find it here. Prices are competative and in some cases a lot lower than the same product on some other sites, delivery prices are also lower in most cases, I have always had good service from the company.

Great company to do business with.
My orders arrived quickly as always. The only issue I have had is some items I have ordered don't arrive. For example one album I have ordered twice has been listed as in stock, but when the order is pulled it is listed on the invoice as back ordered. I just wish that the site in the future is updated more frequently to avoid issues like this. Other than that, I enjoy doing business with Oldies.com.

Outstanding Deals & Delivery!
I was more than happy with my transaction. The many CD's and DVD's I purchased came firmly secured inside the shipping carton, avoiding any in transit damage. The prices were very competitive too. Most of the items were less expensive than some of the online big guys, you know who I mean.

Probably my last order with oldies.com
I appreciate the low prices, but it's not worth dealing with their "fill or kill" policy. There is NO indication what items have shipped UNTIL the package arrives. If there was at least an email saying which items were shipped and which they were unable to obtain, it would make this 'policy' more palatable.
Every single order I've made with them have had unfulfilled items. EVERY one. Also, every item I've ordered has been listed as "AVAILABLE".
Completely not worth the headache of not receiving items that are expected.
I'd rather pay a few dollars more and buy from amazon and KNOW that I will receive what I ordered.
