No response on account closure or fund release

Our contract with CJ ended, but our account still hasn't been closed and our remaining funds are being held with no clear timeline for release. We've followed up multiple times through email and have not received any response or update. The lack of communication around account closure and fund release has been frustrating, and we'd encourage clearer, more responsive support for advertisers going through offboarding.

CJ are a scam company

CJ are a scam company.

I've been using them for years- but recently, they've just got worse. I tell all my clients to avoid using them and switch platforms because they're so bad. But some are still with me. They owe me money from a job back in Feb and they still have not paid, giving excuse after excuse. Don't use them as an affiliate or an advertiser.

The comany I was an affiliate for…

The comany I was an affiliate for swapped to CJ. Previously I used to earn 150 a month with them. Now I'm earning nothing a month since they went with CJ. And every CJ program I've tried to use doesn't send through converted buyers...it just registers thousands of clicks. So useless!

Arrogant...

Arrogant.... Wasted my time because their website is broken, they can't even build a functioning product let alone treat people nicely. Like I want to waste my own valuable time for a company like this with terrible reviews?

After a careful review... I'LL PASS.

They don't pay you

If i could give them 0 stars, I would. I have not been paid from them for almost 2 years. They keep coming up with excuses as to why I'm not paid, often blaming the companies themselves. It's an absolute joke.

Region-restricted key not clearly disclosed

I purchased two digital products from this website. One worked correctly, but the other (FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE INTERGRADE Steam key) could not be activated in my country.

When I tried to redeem the key on Steam, I received the message:
“This product is not available for purchase in this country.”

This means the key was region-restricted and unusable for me, but this was not clearly stated at the time of purchase.

I contacted support and provided evidence. The only solution offered was to wait until the key could be resold to another customer before receiving a refund, which is an uncertain process.

I opened a PayPal dispute, but it was closed as the item was considered “as described.” Eventually, PayPal provided a goodwill credit to cover the loss.

The issue was not about the money, but about clarity and fairness. Buyers should be clearly informed if a key has regional restrictions before purchase.

Today is January 11

Today is January 11, 2026 and we have not been paid by CJ since October 2025. They owe us thousands of dollars. We were paid just fine up until October and then suddenly our "bank and tax info was wrong" (all a lie) and they cannot seem to figure out how to fix this. From the reviews I am reading, it looks like we will NEVER be paid. We are reaching out to all of our brands who work with CJ to let them know what is happening so they can get the hell out ASAP. We are going to swap over to any other programs we can for the current CJ sponsors (we saw some are using skimlinks and Shopify which aren't great but at least they PAY) and never using CJ again. Absolute scam.

Fraudulent company that disables…

Fraudulent company that disables…
If there was a ZERO rating I would give them that but this is the most disgusting company with no ethics that I have dealt with. They deactivated my account without good reason and kept my $128 in commission.
What kind of fraud could I have done if I made only 128 dollars in commission?! Its ridiculous.

I even explained to them that some of my customers don't have international cards so on email I get request to purchase products for them so I made some sales on their behalf but the CJ.com team just won't listen.

Affiliates stay away from this fraud company. They also don't release commission on time and always open an "investigation" before payouts are due.an excuse to steal your commission.

They are not trustworthy and have likely stolen from thousands of affiliates. After closing affiliate accounts have they returned the commission back to the publishers ? I doubt that too.

These are real scammers

These are real scammers. We were interested in no-cure-no-pay affiliate marketing. It was promised that we would get an incredible number of conversions via CJ and that a whole team was ready to make this a success. Unfortunately, the opposite is true. They work almost exclusively with coupon sites and dubious browser plugins. This does not bring you any extra conversions. CJ therefore only collects some fee on conversions you were already getting. For us, it resulted in 1 conversion worth €2.99 over a year. While we paid 1000 euros in startup costs and 500 euros per month. A total of 7000 euros scammed by CJ. Terminating in the interim due to disappointing results is not possible. So you have to continue paying for months while they do not provide conversions for you. Lovely talks in the beginning, but once you have signed the agreement, they only care about money and provide no value. Beware, it is a big company but now in the hands of scammers who want to rob you of your money as quickly as possible. All they do is lie.

They added ads to my website

They added ads to my website - I can tell because of the URL code. I did not agree or consent to them to adding adverts without my knowledge or consent. And they did it on a page of my website probably hoping that I will not notice.
I also don't like the website - it's not user-friendly or streamlined at all. Just looks messy.
I now have no idea how to delete my account with them - looks like I will have to waste my time calling them when they are open as no-one is answering.

Sammers

Is there anyone one to could speak to at CJ if we were scammed by their employees? They've taken 10k from us to run a campaign over 2 months ago and haven't been responding on the group chat. or is CJ a scam overall?

I would give 0 stars if possible

I earned over 150 Euros affiliate income through CJ when they decided to remove my account, because "it does not meet the requirements of the CJ Publisher Service Agreement and the standards generally established by CJ". When I asked for a proper explanation, I didn't get a reply, though I was using the affiliate only through my social media..

Cj really a mess with scam like payment processing partners

Cj really a mess, I have never come across a network or platform working with a diverse group of people and businesses from around the world having issues with international payment.

I have an account in good condition with payable commission but for months now they always claim to send my payment only for me to not receive it and for them to claim it has been reversed and then the cycle repeats itself and goes on and on with subsequent month payments falling in the same cycle.

Their support service sucks, no live chat, delayed response and you won't get any solution through them.

They claim to use a payment partner service offered by the Lion Re:Sources a part of Publicis resources Groupe. The payment partner just sucks like CJ. Because how can you describe a payment partner that can not process payment successfully for four months consecutively. After submitting all required information and passing all verification they even carried out via a direct phone call. I don't know, but is CJ and it's payment processing partners publicis resources SCAMMERS?

This is the worst affiliate platform in the world

This is, without the shadow of a doubt, the WORST affiliate platform I've ever used in my life. It's so bad calling it a "platform" is frankly a stretch. I strongly believe the only reason CJ exists is so that service providers can claim to have an "affliate program", while not having one. The interface is so broken and clunkly that no matter how many hours I waste on it, I can't get it to work. It's error messgae after error message. I've been working online for over a decade and this is honestly one of the worst user experiences of my whole life.

Avoid! Withholds Approved Payments and Uses Excuses

We have had an extremely negative experience with CJ Affiliate (Commission Junction). After over four months of generating leads and approved commissions (over £8,000 showing as due in our dashboard), CJ repeatedly delayed payments with one excuse after another.

At first, they told us our bank details needed updating, then claimed our tax information wasn’t aligned, despite us providing all the correct documents, including a bank letter. Each time we complied, they raised a new hurdle.

Once we pressed firmly for payment, they suddenly shifted tone and started raising compliance questions out of the blue. Most recently, they terminated our account, citing vague “VPN/Proxy” leads—something completely outside of our control as publishers, and never mentioned before in months of prior correspondence where our account had been confirmed as compliant.

This appears to be a pattern of stalling tactics designed to avoid paying publishers what they are owed. Rather than honoring their own Publisher Service Agreement, CJ strung us along with delay after delay, only to shut down our account when payment was due.

VPN use by end-users is normal in today’s internet environment and should never be used as a blanket excuse to withhold commissions already approved. We believe this is unethical, potentially unlawful, and damaging to trust in the affiliate marketing industry.

If you are a publisher considering CJ Affiliate, proceed with caution. In our experience, they will happily take your traffic and leads but create endless obstacles when it comes to actually paying.

We are now seeking legal advice and escalating this further, but wanted to warn others: CJ Affiliate cannot be trusted to deal fairly with its publishers.

Commission Junction Falls Short on Every Front

CJ (Commission Junction) has been the worst platform I’ve used as a publisher. The UI feels dated and confusing, basic tasks take too long, and the onboarding/review flow is frustrating. Support is practically nonexistent—no live chat, slow or no responses, and no clear path to resolve issues. Even simple things like consistent branding during applications can trigger rejections, with little explanation. I also couldn’t find a straightforward way to delete my account; if it exists, it’s buried. Overall, poor usability, poor support, and poor communication. I’m genuinely surprised a network with this many advertisers accepts such a low standard.

Withholding $6,000+ in Affiliate Commissions – No Support, No Answers

I’ve been a long-time CJ Affiliate publisher and recently updated my direct deposit information in July 2025. Since then, CJ has failed to pay my July commissions - over $6,000 with no warning, no verification process, and no timeline for resolution.

I’ve contacted support multiple times, called called multiple times, left voicemails, and was told my account is under “manual review” with no clear next steps. Since then, I’ve been ignored. No updates. No real answers. Just copy/paste replies saying my “last payout was in June,” which I already know.

I’ve filed a FTC complaint and will escalate further if this doesn’t get resolved. Holding earned income without communication is not acceptable - and it raises serious red flags about how CJ manages affiliate relationships.

If you're considering working with CJ Affiliate, be warned: if something goes wrong, you may be stuck in the dark with thousands of dollars in limbo like I am right now.
