I was sent an out of date item and called customer services, which is an overseas call centre, they were most unhelpful and I haven't received any type of refund. Sainsbury's has lost a customer for online shopping.
Really happy with the quality of the avocados from Sainsbury’s. They were perfectly ripe, fresh, and tasted great. I’ll definitely buy them again

The quality of the fresh fruit and veg,and this week with my nectar card the blueberries were 69p cheaper than aldi. The range of products makes it a one stop shop for me

Delivery driver was very nice and helpful. The problem is in the order total. My order used giftcards, coupon and a little bit by card payment. There has 5 items (4 + 1) unavailable but the calculated amount is not quite correct. And the order deducted the sum from card payment (reduced to 1p) and then the rest from the coupons/giftcard (all grouped as coupons in the receipt). In this way, some £3.13 disappeared. I then tried to contact online but it was only available as refund request. I typed in a refund of £4 from one missing item and then the system logged error. I don't know what happened and how to proceed. I guess the program got mixed up because I used giftcards and coupon. Logically should it be refunded to the original gift card? And the calculation for the price after quantity reduction in a promotion is not correct.

I have been shopping at Sainsburys for 52years! All my married life.
Good quality food, clean stores and helpful staff.
I like the reductions with the Nectar card, especially as prices keep rising.
I have never had a money off coupon to help with the final bill.
That would be very much appreciated!!!!
My Mum ,who gets a delivery every month, gets sent them regularly!
Please explain!!!!
Keep up the good work!

I have no issue with the products or the majority of the nice people that work for this organisation. I do however have a major issue with products sent out for delivery from their Lee Green store in south London.
They are constantly sendong our short dated products without any warning. My last order (and it will be my last order as I have now moved away to another supermarket), had 3 otems that needed to be eaten either that da, or the day after, with only notification of one of them being short dated.
This behaviour lets the side down for the whole organisation.

Just returned from Sainsbury’s Alphington Road where the fresh fish counter was very empty & I was unable to buy Salmon again, the third time in recent weeks. Spoke to the Duty Manager who told me that supplies were short because it has been on a 3 packs for 2 promotion. Unfortunately several other items were in the warehouse or freezer storage but not on display. Several staff picking stock for home deliveries (if they are lucky) but the availability of items on the shelves in this Sainsbury’s continues to be a disappoint!!!

I have shopped with Sainsbury’s for decades as did my father before me! They have such a selection of different products that suit everyone’s tastes and needs.

Làst weeks delivery was fine, but the week before, a whole crate of my order was missing. Obviously I was refunded and the driver was very apologetic , but this caused me huge inconvenience as I was entertaining that day so had to go out for missing items.
This has never happened before in several years of deliveries, hence my mid score. Nonetheless it was unacceptable . I believe too much staff time is now then up by sorting out Uber deliveries.

Disability
This is the letter I will send :-
I am writing to make a formal complaint about an incident that occurred when I parked in a disabled parking bay at your store.
The signage at the disabled bays instructed customers to go to the customer service desk to confirm their eligibility. I therefore went to the desk as requested.
The member of staff I spoke to was, in my view, unnecessarily abrupt. I was told that I had to return to my vehicle and bring the Blue Badge to the desk. I explained that I understood that Sainsbury’s staff were not Blue Badge enforcement officers and questioned whether they had the legal right to inspect the badge, particularly the photograph of the badge holder.
Despite this, I was told, in effect, that if I did not produce the badge, I could not park in the disabled bay.
I subsequently returned with the badge and, feeling that I had little choice because I had already parked in the designated bay, placed it on the counter. The member of staff then asked whether I wanted to register it or not. i said do what you want and she subsequently pushed the badge back towards me.
I asked to speak to a manager because I was concerned about the way the matter had been handled. I was then told that Sainsbury’s did have the right to ask to see the Blue Badge.
I would therefore like Sainsbury’s to clarify the following:
What is the specific legal or contractual basis upon which Sainsbury’s employees are entitled to require a customer to produce a Blue Badge for inspection?
In particular, what authority does a Sainsbury’s employee have to inspect the photograph of the Blue Badge holder?
Was the member of staff involved in this incident acting under any specific authority to carry out Blue Badge enforcement or verification? If so, please explain what that authority is and who grants it.
What exactly does the instruction on the car-park signage to “confirm with the desk” mean, and what information is Sainsbury’s entitled to request or record from a Blue Badge holder?
If Sainsbury’s is relying on its terms and conditions for the private car park rather than statutory Blue Badge enforcement powers, please provide me with the relevant term or policy.
I fully understand that Sainsbury’s owns or operates the car park and may impose reasonable conditions on the use of its disabled parking spaces. My concern is specifically about the assertion made by your employee that Sainsbury’s staff have a legal “right” to inspect the Blue Badge.
I would also like to raise a concern about the manner in which I was spoken to. I was attempting to comply with the instructions displayed at the parking bays, yet I was made to feel as though I was doing something wrong and was effectively told that I could not use the bay unless I handed over the badge for inspection.
I would appreciate a written response explaining Sainsbury’s position and the authority relied upon by the member of staff.
I would also ask that you review the wording of the signage at the disabled bays so that customers are clearly informed about what is required of them and what information Sainsbury’s staff are entitled to request.
As a final question are your staffing trained on GDPR regarding disability badges?
I look forward to your response.
Yours faithfully,
Plus a clip from a disability site
Blue Badge legislation gives specific statutory inspection powers to authorised enforcement officers, not to every member of supermarket staff.

I enjoy shopping at Sainsbury’s. I love the clothing section and the home collection. There’s always good offers on with food and it’s food that I like and repeatedly by. There’s always plenty of stuff on the tills so it’s never overly busy I’ve never had to wait for any length of time to get through self serve or go to an actual manned till

Purchased a ham hock and cheese sandwich. Whilst there was ham hock and cheese, they were tasteless. What flavour the sandwich did have bordered on the unpleasant. I suggest Senior Managers are invited to eat a sandwich per day for 2 weeks and then review their suppliers.

Popped in yesterday, found everything I was looking for super quick and was only in the store for twenty minutes.
Staff at the self checkout very helpful with a coupon that I had as I have never used one on the self check out before.
Very happy all round.

Staff helpful. You have a good FreeFrom range. I am dairy and gluten intolerant so that is useful. The small number of manned tills are a nuisance and cause queuing. Also it’s a shame the cafe went as Costa is limited.
