I needed a laptop with XP rather than Windows 7 or 8, and also as it was not going to be used on a daily basis, so I could not warrant the cost of a brand new one. I had heard about re-furbished laptops and decided that was the answer, I did a search and filtered my selection down to Valucomputers.co.uk. There was a good selection of models available and I wanted to keep my budget to around £150 + VAT. I found a Dell Latitude D520 that had the spec I was looking for, bang on budget, job done. It came 2 days later by courier, it is in very good condition, XP Pro installed no BS software plugged it in, fired it up, sorted. Very happy well done Valucomputers, will recommend you to others.
