Some of the best service and support I've ever received
If you're looking for the cheapest broadband, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a reliable, robust and clued-up ISP who really know what they're talking about, you've found them.
I've been a customer for nearly two decades and I have zero complaints. Even when there are problems outside their control with Openreach, they're on the ball and superb at managing the repair process.
I couldn't ask for more.

AA are brilliant
AA are brilliant. They deal with numpty questions with aplomb and are always available. Ive recently upgraded to FTTP and all went smoothly. They seem to have some secret sauce with openreach.
Poor internet, disappointing customer support
Pretty poor. Unreliable internet for seven years. Not felt listened to by most of the customer support people. There are one or two nice people who have been genuinely helpful on occasion (they earned the two stars, especially A***e), but they are the exception that proves the rule. These guys have had so much of my money for several years and failed to deliver. I am without internet yet again. I dread calling them because I don't know if I'll get someone kind, or someone who minimises my problem, says they will "run some tests" and phone me back but then just send a generic email with no information. If they are so technical and smart, how come they can't sort this recurring problem out? All they do is send OpenReach round who say there is no problem and go away again. Now, I know other providers have their faults, but at least they don't pretend to be super techy. At least they don't say they have "no bull sh*t" policy on their website and then consistently let down a customer.

The sales team were always quick to respond, unfailingly helpful and happy to answer questions. The whole process of getting FTTP and getting rid of the old landline went extremely smoothly - once we persuaded Openreach that our house really did exist!

Very happy, long term customer
Have been a customer for many years, and was recently finally able to regrade to FTTP.
As expected, the order process was smooth and the team kept me well informed - there were some delays because OpenReach wasn't quite as ready as they thought they were.
On installation day, I was offline for all of 5 minutes, and support were there (before and after) to answer the odd technical query I had. Service is now faster and more reliable than ever.
Yes, they're not the absolute cheapest provider, but I also don't have to put up with prices going up every sodding April.

The Professionals ISP
Honestly, the best ISP i've worked with. Pricier sure, but you get what you pay for. rock solid connection, only dip was due to BT and national outage, BYOR and my work VPN's which had issues on BT, no issues with AA. Quick to respond to issues and the IIRC is a GREAT function. The engineers ISP. Love it!

AAISP just deliver
I ordered a FTTP Openreach service and literally nothing went wrong, everything was on time, as planned and just worked. The comms were as expected from a very reputable ISP.
I am now running both AAISP and Virgin Media until the latter is disconnected and my average latency has halved and the line stats are superb. This is night and day compared to the where I was.
no nitpicking possible here, this is excellence demonstrated.

Good customer service
Everything to do with my changes was handled efficiently and sympathetically. I was kept informed at all stages and the work was carried out as promised. I have always appreciated the way they keep customers informed about any issues.

You get what you pay for
I've been with A&A for a few years now on their CityFibre home broadband service, and while they aren't the cheapest provider on the network, I genuinely believe you get what you pay for.
The service itself has been rock solid. The only outages I've experienced have been due to issues on the underlying CityFibre network rather than A&A themselves, and they've always been transparent about what's happening.
The main reason I stay with A&A, though, is the support. It's genuinely technical support from people who know what they're talking about. When you call, you speak to a real person in the UK rather than fighting your way through endless automated menus or reading from a script. The same applies to email support, you're dealing with engineers who understand networking and are able to help rather than simply following a checklist.
Over the years I've had some fairly unusual requests for a home broadband connection, including announcing my own IP address space and ASN. Most residential ISPs wouldn't even entertain that conversation, let alone support it. A&A didn't question it, they simply helped me get everything configured, and it's been working flawlessly ever since. It's incredibly refreshing to find an ISP that's happy to support advanced networking requirements on a residential connection instead of insisting you need an expensive business package.
At the time of writing this review, my connection is currently down due to a fault on the CityFibre network. Even then, the support has been excellent. Alfie H at A&A has been proactively keeping me updated with everything they're hearing from CityFibre and chasing them for further information. I haven't had to ask once for an update, they've simply kept me informed throughout the incident. That's exactly the sort of service you hope for when things go wrong.
I think A&A manages to cater for two very different types of customers. On one hand, they're perfect for technical users who want flexibility, transparency, and the ability to tinker with their connection. On the other, they're equally well suited to people who simply want broadband that just works, backed by knowledgeable UK-based support that picks up the phone when you need them. It's not easy to satisfy both groups, but A&A manages it.
Could you get broadband cheaper on the same CityFibre network? Absolutely. But in my experience, those savings often come with compromises. Support is frequently outsourced or script-driven, and many providers oversubscribe their network to keep prices low, meaning performance isn't always as consistent as advertised.
With A&A, you're paying for more than just an internet connection. You're paying for reliability, knowledgeable support, transparency, and a company that genuinely seems to care about its customers. For me, that's been worth every penny, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Staff have gone above and beyond to help me, and I’m incredibly grateful. Very transparent communication!
Andrews and Arnold is an outstanding provider
I have been with Andrews and Arnold (A&A) for many years as an ISP only customer. The reason I have stayed with them is their service is rock solid and outstanding. Technical staff are very knowledgeable, friendly and most important they answer their phone. . A&A do not throttle their internet speeds nor over subscribe number of customer on their infrastructure as do many big brand names resulting in over time slower speeds and poor support. There pricing is very fair and comparable to the big providers. I recently transitioned to the A&A fibre broadband and also transition my telephone (along with my current land line number) to them. The installation was quick and painless. So far I am very happy and have no hesitation recommending Andrews and Arnold as a Broadband and landline telephone provider
AAISP are the techie’s techie, give a solid, prompt service.
AAISP are approachable and efficient. They know their stuff, are always interested, they apply themselves & get to the root of the problem, & they are patient & explain things in plain English.
Over the 11 years I’ve been with them, any problems I have had have been with Openreach not maintaining the copper line. When this has happened, A&A chased them and made them come back and do their job properly.
Their support staff persist until the problem is dealt with:
When I was on a slow (badly maintained) copper line, they tracked down the source of my speed problems - including getting the line itself fixed (Openreach’s fault), and tracing the constant uploads which were flooding the bandwidth - establishing it was not caused by malware (phew!), identifying the cause and making the sensible suggestion that would sort it out.
Then when FTTP became available they made sure my move was seamless. So now I will be enjoying my new line with no problems and no need for tech support!
They are willing to go above & beyond, because they’re genuinely interested in what they do and they want to help. They haven’t lost their curiosity and relish a challenge, so they won’t fob you off.
You can get straight through to a genuine techie.
They are not trying to sell you more than you need, in fact when I asked their advice re VoIP they gave intelligent and ingenious advice which both made life simpler and saved me money.
I have found them personally kind and helpful.
I have stayed with them 11 years (& counting) because they’re the real deal and the best service from any ISP I have ever had.
Easy move to VOIP
Moved to VOIP. Good advice on kit required which they supplied pre-configured. Quick and efficient support with getting all the system working.
Also been a good broadband supplier for several year.
Highly recommended for internet and phone services
I highly recommend Andrews & Arnold for both internet and phone service. As well as having highly knowledgeable staff, the detailed status information published on their website tells you if there's any work going on in the network - try finding out this information from other ISPs!
This is followed through with the control panel that lets you stay in control of your connection and monitor the line if you wish. But you certainly don't have to be a techie person, the support staff are friendly and helpful. Best of all the network connection is high quality, these folk know how to run a network!
I love A&A
I love A&A! I recently moved from a provider that overcharged me, so as soon as I got onto A&A's website, it seemed cheap and good. I signed up, and to be honest it's never worked better. Thank you A&A <3
Migration from existing L2TP service to…
Migration from existing L2TP service to new Fibre connection was handled very professionally. This required some actual knowledgeable human intervention to migrate over IP address allocations and routing. This required little more than one e-mail exchange, and on the day, the routing switched over instantly when I logged into the fibre connection. I don't know of any other ISP who could have done this.
Solid. The Ronseal of ISPs.
Solid. No adds. Price matched my previous ISP with a higher speed but I think if you want decent human support then this is the team to go with. Any mistakes on take-on were mine due to the gap between order and install (at my request). Please read the one stars to see how horrible/wrong people can be for no reason and how professional the response is (some are quite funny). No sales push.

Have been with A&A for over a year now. Since being with them, I’ve been able to remove a router from my home network, have static ip’s for everything, and it works. What’s more every single time that I have contacted them, I felt like I’m talking to people who know the subject, no just people following a script. They don’t ask have you turned it off and on again, they assume that’s already been done
