I have used Alpha rooms on more than one occasion & always use the Internet to book my Hotels & Flights. I cannot comment on the phone side of the business as I have fortunatly never had to speak to anyone, which only goes to show what a great site it is. I will continue to use Alpha rooms as I don't do package holidays any more booking individual services is so much cheaper.
It was a refreshing change to find somewhere which was both clean and offered so much for very little cost.
We stayed for one night to meet up with friends, fully expecting to have to find somewhere to have our evening meal and ended up arriving and having a carvery and then off for a spot of sightseeing and then back for our evening meal.
The food, beer, ale and cider was so fairly priced and the staff were extremely friendly and helpfull, we couldn't have had a better stay.
Good that you can book with a low deposit. Only hope that are hotel doesn't get changed at last minute like last year. Was disappointed last Christmas got moved 2 weeks prior to are holiday causing untold upset. We have used alpha rooms lots of times as group bookings and family so hope that was just a one off bad experience otherwise we will have to look at changing are operator.
We recently made our third booking through alpharooms and no matter how many websites we search we always find that alpharooms give the best value on prices for hotels and we value the fact that we can pay a very low deposit of £10 and don t have to pay the balance until one month before you travel which a lot of the others dont do. All in all we are well satisfied with every aspect of alpharooms and wont be long before we use them again
After booking both accommodation and flights wilth Alpharooms in October 2013 (for a holiday in April/May 2014) all appeared ok but since I had not received flight details from the airline by early April checked AVRO website for confirmation. Found that flight I had booked (flying 29/04/14) was no-longer scheduled and I had been re-assigned to a flight the day before (flying 28/04/14). Put in a support request to Alpharooms (as yet not actioned). as leaving a day earlier left me with no accommodation for that night. Contacted the airline who said they informed Alpharooms in Febuary of this change, shame Alpharooms did not inform me...their customer. Had to phone Alpharooms who eventually booked the extra night but still had the cheek to charge for this. I have also incurred extra parking charges (the parking I had booked was non-transferable) and a extra two nights kennel fees for my dog, I feel that Alpharooms should have contacted me as soon as they knew about this change to either minimise any extra costs to me or give me the option to cancel.
Have used Alpharooms to book our holidays for many years, in my opinion it is the best online booking agency. They always offer the best deals and the reviews are always to be relied upon. The after booking back-up is excellent, I will continue to use their services whenever we go abroad for a holiday. Thanks Alpharooms.
