I ordered a new drum for a Brother Laser Printer. The price was the best I had found on the Internet. We received it in 4 days. The entire process was swift from beginning to end. The drum is installed and operational. Since we need another drum for another machine, I turned right around and ordered another. We couldn't be happier. Thank you A Matter of Fax for your super service.
I was a little hesitant to order from A Matter of Fax after seeing their website. In the early 2000's I would not have been concerned but it looked dated by today's standards. I checked the Better Business Bureau and saw that they had a B+ score so I gave them a try. I've ordered two projector lamps from A Matter of Fax and both have arrived in good condition. The first lamp was delayed a few days because they were out of stock but they called me to let me know and ask if I wanted to cancel my order and receive a refund or wait a few extra days. Overall I have had a good experience with this company.
AVOID THIS BUSINESS! I was encouraged to try Matter of Fax due to their lower price on a “NEW” Printer Toner Cartridge for $34.34 and free shipping. When placing the order I printed each screen while completing my transaction. The ad specifically stated a “New Toner Cartridge.” When completing my transaction they offer no means to print a Confirmation/Invoice and luckily I screen printed each step of my transaction. A few days later I received a call asking if I wanted the New Toner for $59 or a refill for $34.34. I returned the call to customer service and spoke with Joe (1-800-433-3329 x304) and confirmed that I ordered the “NEW” toner for $34.34 as stated on their web site and my print out. He then processed my order… a few days later I received my shipment and found a poorly refilled toner cartridge with toner powder encrusting the package and imbedded in the toner drive gear. Calling for a RMA they referred me to a third party web site www.cliason.com to process the return. If you send Matter of Fax an email containing any pictures or documentation they delete them citing security issues. That alone is a major Red Flag! Ironically, you have to sign off on 12 bulleted terms and condition points for them to issue an RMA. Some of which include: “Then double box the item using an outer box”- When they didn’t! “All Returns are pre-paid by the customer. A MATTER OF FAX is not responsible for any shipping charges on returning items, and will not accept COD shipments.”- Even if it’s their mistake or as I believe, Bait & Switch! “Please be sure to ship the item insured for its full value via UPS, Fedex or DHL (not the USPS) to ensure against shipping damage or loss. Your RMA number is valid for 10 business days from the date of issue.” Not USPS? Really? I have submitted my online return request and wait their processing of a RMA #. I’m not expecting much in a refund and I’m considering opening a BBB complaint even if I do receive a refund. One final note, they provide a link for feedback that doesn’t work!
I ordered a printer toner cartridge. As soon as I put it in, the printer told me it wasn't compatible, so I had to return it to them. They don't refund shipping and you have to pay for return shipping, so even though they sent me a defective product that doesn't work as advertised, I'm out the cost of shipping both ways.
The TV lamp for my Sony rear projection HDTV was a great fit! The reason I ordered is because the price was about $15 cheaper than competitors. Joe from Customer Service called shortly after I placed the order to verify I ordered the right lamp and to let me know it was going to be an extra day to ship it. The lamp arrived two days later ahead of schedule!!! I trust doing business with A Matter of Fax!
Swift communication and transaction. Delivery was made on time. I had spoken to a customer representative about a shipping issue, and it was resolved quickly without a fuss. I have no complaints and would recommend this store
I always order toner from a matter of fax for my samsung printer. they have compatibles that are very competitively priced and work just as well as the original. also the costumer service is really nice.
I ordered a projector bulb online for 170, they tried to sneak a 1 year warranty on for 150 extra. I deleated it and checked out. When I checked out they never showed an online statment or invoice. I had to search for it. When I found it, sure enought they snuck the 150 warranty back on without my permission. I had to call and email to get it off. Now that it is off I have waited 13 days to get them to process my credit card and it still has not run through. Their customer service will not help. The supervisors will not call back. She told me multiple times it is processed and on its way. It never was. They were just saying what you want to hear. All their emploees sound miserable because everyone calls so upset. This is as shadey as it gets. Do not do business with them.
