Good product coverage & cheap prices

I find Amazon have an excellent variety and range of products plus prices are generally cheap. Their reviews also help and it's easy to control ones orders on the site.

Besides this I am also a Kindle fan so I find the ebook purchasing process really easy to do plus the ebooks are automatically uploaded to my Kindle which is cool.

Amazon is a brilliant place ! You can get ANYTHING from a paperback book to a top of the range Carpet Cleaner.
There are often 'used' items offered as an alternative to buying new which may be helpful to lots of people - especially in the current climate :)
There are often Free Delivery options and things never seem to take long to come. Saving my pennies for a Kindle right now *lol*

Great service

Used amazon a lot recently and have been using my trial of the Prime delivery service. I have to say its great getting all my items next day for free but I won't be using it after my free trial as I don't order enough to warrant the £60 a year for the service.

Makes Shopping On Line Easy

Amazon makes shopping on line very easy. They are a great company to do business with. The only reason they are not getting five stars is that their prices are not always the lowest. You still have to comparison shop. Otherwise, I am very happy with them, and use them many times a month.

Website user friendly. Customer service excellent. Slight difficulty sometimes with trying to compare prices of products but this is to be expected with the diversity of products available at your fingertips. Have sometimes had slight problems with some of the carriers but amazon always came to the rescue.

when ordering for business purposes, often a VAT invoice is impossible to obtain

I have had many problems when trying to obtain a VAT invoice through companies that sell through Amazon. They are often not contactable and only a message though Amazon can request a VAT invoice. When this doesn't arrive you are unable to chase except through email to Amazon which I have tried many many times without success. A VAT invoice is a legal requirement. How can Amazon do business with companies who do not fulfil this legal obligation? I have decided NEVER to order through Amazon again when it is an item for business. I am very disappointed with their service.

Love the web site, Hate the security

I have purchased from amazon many times in the past, but we had problems after our last purchases Christmas 2009 ie stolen I'd and people trying to buy with our credit card details. We were fully reimbursed by our credit companies , but this was the only site I had used my card on at that time.
I know lots of others had experienced the same kind of things at the time, I hope they have there site security sorted now, but I would not use this site again

ordered goods well in time for the christmas rush, however, goods arrived on 23 rd of December.

having ordered some mens knitwear as gifts for family members, to open up the packages and find, a childs sponge bob back pack along with the two remainder packages of knitwear all wrongly sized and colours. Unfortunately it was too late to re order in time for christmas, informed amazon straight away and was sent the standard email of sorry please return goods, and we had to pay for postage and get a receipt to send them as proof of postage paid to receive any monies back. Extremely poor customer service along with no thought or apology for such a let down.

Very Good Company! Lots of Choice and Very Efficient. Only One thing I wish for, that the Companies advertising their products on Amazon's Web Site would state clearly Sizes for their products, so one doesn't have to guess, or just giving up on certain things, which one wasted time finding at last, then get disappointed because of frastration of trying to Understand the Size Advertised. And, if ordering, getting the Wrong Size, then sending back with the explanation Why to get your monies Refunded. That is the DownFault.

I use Amazon a lot,for everything!
I love the fact you can compare prices with different sellers and choose who you eventually buy from.
I have always found the service very easy to use( a little too easy sometimes :-) ,and delivery is always within the dates they give you,more often than not arriving much much quicker!
My only 'gripe' with Amazon is you still have to keep an eye on their prices as sometimes they can be much more than elsewhere( as well as being cheaper), for example I was looking for a 'cozy pumper'(toy) for Christmas, was out of stock most places but amazon had it in stock,the toy retails at £30 yet amazon were asking £99 for it! A bit of a joke I feel,so you still need to check prices and shop around for certain things.Other than that,I still love Amazon :-)

I have been registered with Amazon for the last ten years or so.

It was only on my return to the UK from extensive traveling abroad that I really got into the benefits and convenience of shopping on Amazon.

All the goods ordered, bar one, and there have been many, have arrived without any issues whatsoever.

One incident was with their, then contracted delivery company who has since been terminated. (Left a portable CD player gift on the front step, in the rain and not signed for). This was replaced immediately and as it was a gift for imminent delivery, Amazon sent in next day at their expense.

Great and convenient place to shop.

Their packing is very good, and the delivery is very quick.
If you are not happy with your goods, Amazon are quick to refund your cost once they have received the goods.

What would I do without Amazon - full of flu last year but able to do my xmas shopping Never let me down, even when other companies struggled with snow last year I received all my purchases on time for Christmas. This is my first port of call in Internet shopping. They have excellent range of products with best price in 99% of the time. I order all sorts of things from Amazon. Their service is good, delivery and packaging is also good and customer service is helpful, although their service is so good I hardly ever need to use customer services. Their record keeping is excellent - I can keep track of my orders, also view history of my past orders. Ordering process is very user friendly. Basically my best internet shopping website.

Had an issue with some 'snow socks' purchased for my car at Christmas. Company sent the wrong size. Amazon mediated and i was fully refunded within a couple of days. All my other gifts arrived promptly and efficiently. Top marks! Amazon is very worthy of its market share!
