I ordered a sofa, rug, coffee table, side table + a bunch of stuff for my home. I got very suspicious when they offered me 3% off I paid direct into their German bank account (through a international transfer) instead of credit/debit card. That has proven to be a HUGE misstake. The morning after the full transfer I got a phone call from Ambiente because they thought I paid too much. Then an email I paid too little. Then another email say I paid WAY too little. Then another email saying I paid too little again. Then a "final" email saying I have to pay more. All with completely different amounts... The fact is the full amount they are asking for has been deducted from my account but they have no idea where the money is. I paid the remaining money (£115) to avoid more hassle but that's money just out the window.
The delivery was a nightmare as well. Before I placed the order I made sure they would deliver everything in one delivery - which they guaranteed. I got a total of 9 different deliveries for my order. Luckily I have the opportunity to work from home every now and then, but 9 full days because Ambiente couldn't deliver the service they set out to deliver is very poor.
I would advice any potential customers to stay away from this very unprofessional company. There are other alternatives that might cost 1%-3% but you get what you pay for.
We are delighted with our purchase (a shoe cabinet) – it is absolutely as advertised and was received within two days of ordering. It is practical, in that it hides the shoes away neatly and tidily, and also visually enhances the hallway.
I purchased a HAY desk which arrived with no legs in the box. I have phone the helpline 5 times now, every time I am promised someone will call me back to arrange a replacement, so far no one has. I am now left without anywhere to work and no one seems to care.
a mon sujet vous avez eu un manque de réactivité et de suivi, je commande un article dit en stockl et vous pose une question par mail vous me répondez 3 semaines après je change ma commande pour un article similaire d'une autre couleur celui ci en stock au telephone je demande le delai de livraison il me sera dit 4 jours c'était le 9 avril nous sommes le 21 avril et la commande n'est toujours pas la
je commande souvent par internet sur des sites de design notamment sur Made in design et je n'ai jamais eu ce problème il y a un suivi et les problèmes sont signalées j'ai fait part au téléphone de cela et l'on m'a dit que le perosnnel avait du retard et était débordé, nje peux comprendre cela mais on prévient
je pensais qu'un site "allemand" serait plus sérieux et rigoureux j'ai révisé mon jugement et je pense qu'un geste commercial et une remise sur cet achat devarit être mis en place cordialement

No one contacted us when the deliveries were not due to reach us on the agreed date. We arranged to be at home to receive delivery so we would have wasted a day. Whe we contacted the delivery service, we were told that the packages were sent back to Germany. when we tried to reach Ambient Direct's hotline, we were not able to reach them , and after 40 minutes of waiting we finally got through and then was cut off due to bad connection. Then this survey came into our mail box asking about our satisfaction when we haven't received any of our items yet.
I have order a stool which was - according to the site "in stock" - ( 6-8 weeks delivery notice was clearly indicated next to some other objects in the list) and I had to wait 6 weeks for fdelivery... unfair commercial practice....I wont use this service anymore.
The goods I purchased were exactly as ordered and I was pleased with them. There seemed to be a bit of a mix up over stock levels but they kept us informed at every stage. So good customer service. The only bug bear was the amount of paper and packaging that was used to send the items. These were cushions, not cut glass and it was such a waste of resources. That was my only moan. Other than that, Good Job. Thank you
