Absolutely amazing delivery service, super kind and well mannered, super quick too!! Loved the fact my old appliance was taken away as well as the packaging. Made for an easy job, no clean up, able to keep my apartment clean without juggling large boxes for recycling and an broken appliance needing a scrap service.

Great service friendly delivery lads.

Absolute nightmare - as this was taken down I’m putting it back up - as seems I’m not the only one getting this kind of awful service.

The male fitter was immediately rude - commenting I’d not answered my phone (I’d had no missed calls) he walked straight across my cream carpet in his work shoes didn’t ask if he should take them off or put any protection down.

He immediately moaned about my galley kitchen and there not being a lot of space. He then aggressively started yanking my old machine out. He ripped all the waste pipes off and chopped the plug off the old machine then told me he couldn’t fit the new one because the hole in the cupboard (that he’d already seen) wasn’t big enough to put the new waste pipe through as the new dishwashers come with a slightly bigger attachment on.

Then he said he couldn’t get the old machine out and I must have had the kitchen fitted around the old one - absolute nonsense - I simply needed to take a handle off the cupboard that would have taken me about 30 seconds.

Then he tells me the new one will get scratched as he brings it in.

Then he throws the machine on its side and litres of water are flowing out all over my kitchen floor.

Then he tells me he will have to carry the machine leaking dirty water all over my carpet and I would have to accept responsibility for it being ruined.

By this point I was very upset at the complete lack or any respect or care whatsoever. He was on the phone to the AO customer service people to get me to agree to this carpet damage. They were equally as obstructive, as other reviews have stated total defence of driver - I told them they could refund me, which they were quick to agree to, and he could get out of my house. Dishwasher was left in a pool of water in the middle of the kitchen - which I’ve read isn’t the first time either!

I then realised because he’d ripped the waste pipe off I couldn’t use the sink as water was spewing out all over the place because he didn’t put a stopper on it.

After conversations with AO customer services they agreed to come and get the old machine they had effectively ruined by chopping the plug off and remove that at least. It didn’t fix my waste pipe leak issue now that the pipe had been removed, which was apparently my problem to fix - with an offer of some money towards it.

For reference the new guys from AO who turned up to get the now useless machine while my male partner was at home got the old machine out with zero issues, which proves the point the original guy was just an incompetent bully IMO probably because I’m a woman and he thought he could get away with that kind of behaviour.

I had multiple conversations with the CS people over two days to get the drivers who were getting the old machine out to simply put the stopper on the pipe to stop it leaking everywhere, and despite all these conversations they turned up and said nobody had asked them.

So we now have a black plastic bag stuck between the pipes (the service the new AO drivers offered as they were not asked to put a stopper on so didn’t have one) so we’ve been stuck with that until Currys comes and correctly fits our dishwasher.
