The staffing levels are an absolute joke...
ASDA MIDDLETON, LEEDS. The staffing levels are an absolute joke at this store. Not one person was manning the self service area today when I visited -leading to myself and other people waiting 5 to 10 minutes for the staff member to authorise various issues. This isn't an isolated incident, you're always left waiting either due to inadequate staff levels, or the staff with their backs to the tills having a chat.
I went to buy clothes at asda
I went to buy clothes at asda. The clothing department was extremely untidy, with many items mixed up, not in the correct department or on the right rails. Very disappointing

Asda delivery driver tonight was an absolute gem! Happy friendly guy, and got rid of a huge crazy moth for me! He was great! Well done Asda!

look, my package was left out in the rain by the courier, to be real, which made me regret buying from them. Pretty let down, honestly.
Andrew Hayes what unproffessional piece…
Andrew Hayes what unproffessional piece of work he is. Putting a phone down on my wife today. I guess he must be that way to his own women in his family. This manager needs to go on training. Calls are recorded asda end but ones have issue when our end also recorded when logging a fromal complaint about the digusting service of manger and not recieving our online shop.
Ones really need to stop using these stores take u money but they could not care less to call or text you to say they cancelled shopping order. Cowards
Having had a close family member work…
Having had a close family member work for Asda for over 35 years, it has been disappointing to see how much the working environment appears to have changed.
Long-serving employees have experienced repeated changes to working hours and arrangements as the business adapts to its current needs. While businesses inevitably need to change, there seems to be less consideration for the personal circumstances, experience and loyalty of the people affected.
At times, it can even give the impression that long-serving employees are being placed in increasingly difficult positions, rather than being supported and encouraged to remain with the company. It raises concerns about whether retaining experienced colleagues is still a priority, particularly when newer or younger employees may offer greater flexibility in filling gaps in working hours.
After more than 35 years of service, you would hope that loyalty, knowledge and experience would be viewed as valuable assets rather than obstacles to change.
It would be encouraging to see Asda place greater emphasis on supporting and retaining experienced colleagues, recognising long service and creating genuine opportunities for people to continue developing within the business.
Asda really are in trouble
Asda really are in trouble. Closing staffed tills, products regularly unavailable, Rewards scheme gone from one of best to virtually pointless.
asda needs to bring back email vouchers…
asda needs to bring back email vouchers and offer some decent cashback on the weekly shop.No one likes faffing around with mobile rewards which is not fit for purpose
A star is too much!!!
A star is too much!!!
Such a dreadful company!
They lost my parcel.
I was trying to speak with Customer Service:it's in India and I needed to ask 10 times the person to speak slowly as ,because of the accent,I couldn't understand.
I am done with Asda!!!Never buy from them again!!!
Would put zero stats if possible.
Would put zero stats if possible.
I refer this review to Asda Barnes Hill store in Birmingham.
Today as well as surly unhelpful staff which seems to be the norm on the few occasions I go in there they have come up with a brilliant new business strategy!
It's,called create your own pizza which people may be,aware of but here's the clever strategy.....at Midday yes 12 noon have a sign up saying its closed !!!!
Wonder if I could get a job there and come up with brilliant strategies like that.
As always I don't expect Asda to respond as in my view they don't give a toss about the customer.
No delivery
Booked delivery for today. Was sent a message to say because they'd reciebed too many orders their system had crashed and now they were not delivering at all. I had to call to fet it cancelled as it was still showing as live and they'd pre authorised the money, which no other supermarket does. Im disabled, I can't go out for food, I completely rely on delivery. This shop is disgusting. Im never buying anything from them ever again. I hate ASDA. Its called ASBO for a reason
Poor shopping experience
Every time I do a shop online the price goes up on most products and not only that 30 out of 90 items are unavailable not a very reliable place to shop .
I used the shopand go
I used the shopand go, but the scanner didnt scan, when I took it to customer services a staff member asked "did you replace it and get another?" I confirmed I had, again she ask.ed "did you put it in and reset it?" so I said "I put it into the slot and put my details in as I had before, and again it said "account already in use" she went on "did you reset it? YOU need to go round, put it in the slot and press that" indicating to the button used to scan bar codes. How am I mean t to know? I am not stupid but I felt it after the manner I was spoken to. I felt she thought I should know fully what to do. I left it there. I have mobility and pain isues due to hav ing myelopathy. Maybe I should have remered to wear my hidden disabilities lanyard. Ill try to remember next time
Absolutely terrible..
Absolutely terrible... I ordered shopping between 2 and 3pm it arrived early and we wasnt home as the person I ordered it for has a care package and carers wait in for the shopping specifically at that time. So now he has no shopping, and there like we can arrange redelivery for today when it its no use when the carers are there between 2pm and 3pm!!
Awful
Awful. Just awful. Don't bother with them is my advice.
I ordered some things from Asda George online. I chose home delivery and paid for this on top of the £145 I spent with the items. I chose home delivery specifically because it is so much easier with having two young children, not having to go out and collect. Anyway, no communication was given to me regarding parcel 1 of 2 being diverted to an Inpost locker - for what reason, I still don't know. I told customer service of this but they gave me no answer.
I only knew of this because I checked my Inpost app regarding a different parcel collection and saw Asda George waiting to be collected. Anyway, I collected my parcel and straight away could see it was badly damaged, I lifted it from the locker and heard broken glass immediately. All of the glass items were SO poorly packaged....I couldn't believe it. It was that really cheap flimsy paper wrap that they'd put around 2 large vases and some glasses. It's not a surprise they'd smashed completely, especially with how delivery drivers handle things these days.
I found it VERY difficult to get any decent response from Asda Customer Service. It was almost like they didn't want me to have a refund at all. They wanted me to handle the smashed glass. They said they would initiate a return or the items and someone would come to collect. No email has come to me in regard of this. This phone call took 40 minutes. The person on the other end obviously had no customer service empathy, complete lack of.
I will be asking for a chargeback via my credit card. It's no wonder no one shops here anymore. I will definitely be avoiding here and shopping online elsewhere. Asda, you're losing customers left right and centre it seems.
They don’t sell flipz
Asda could at least say sorry.
We had driven from Woodall Spa on our way home to near Skipton. We were passing through Knaresborough and needed fuel. We visited Asda and topped up with enough petrol to get home. I collected a few items on the way to the checkout and paid. I was a little weary and realised something was wrong so asked for a receipt. It was wrong. It showed diesel for £60.01 and I had got petrol £25.41. It was quiried with another employee who at first seemed to think I was wrong when a lady next to us said I can't pay for my diesel on a self pay checkout. The girl on my till said I pressed the wrong pump.
The man or girl never said sorry. He said put your card in and I will make a refund. I did as requested. I checked my bank app. and the guy said it may take some time to go through. I checked when I got home and I had been charged again.
Rang the store and spoke to the acting manager. He said he could do nothing as he didn't have the knowledge and the manager would ring me in the morning after initially saying I had to go back in the morning. I don't think so, not from near Skipton. Good job I was not too weary to realise something was wrong. I will never use Asda again!
That was yesterday and I waited with my phone all morning but never got the call back so filled in a customer review form online. To finish and send it they were to email me to get confirmation that it was me filling in the form. I never got the email so rang H. O. and the staff member was unable to understand the problem as though robbing a customer of £70 odd pounds was normal, maybe is for a company with massive debt. He was to put me through to the store but I got Asda Harrogate who insisted I told him the problem. He said I don't know nothing about it and cut me off. The second call to H. O. complaints department said she would put me through to Knaresborough but she came back to say she had tried twice but got no answer. Probably had the phone cut off.
No wonder Asda are in a massive debt problem. The challenge now is to get £69.04 from them as my car will not hold that much fuel.
Only shop here if you are rich.
Super expensive, why would I pay a fortune for products and items that are not made to last and are not even good at all? It is ridiculous I wouldn’t buy anything from Asda again why is a bed sheet £10 for 100% cotton ones but like £3 for the terrible polyester ones.
Delivery order problems
My delivery was super late and I’ve never had so many substitutions for items… not acceptable and not the first time this has happened in last few months
Lots of choice.
I visit Asda's Chadderton store 2 or 3 times a week to do a basket shop. The main issue I have with them, is that their mobile rewards app, has only worked for 3 weeks out of the last 9 months.
