Absolutely terrible to deal with. Trying to arrange my sons insurance. He emailed them to say I could be a contact on the account (that was the first issue) they kept saying they didn't receive the email, eventually it was "received". He had a lapse of 3 months in insurance, sold his car in June and only bought one in September, full no claims that previous insurance company (didn't go with that company as they were to expensive), said is valid for 2 years. Sent this along with named driving experience on my husbands insurance, bear in mind my son has his full license 7 years and this is the first time had a lapse in insurance. So have explained everything numerous times over the past week and half. They rang the other day to say thats grand and that they just need to speak with my son, the policy holder to confirm everything. He rang them today and they said oh no you need to provide named driving experience on the van you were driving (he drives a work van for the company he works for during the day and is on fleet insurance, not a named driver). Told them this a hundred times and they said oh thats ok he doesn't need to provide that then but just provide why the gap in insurance so explained again to about the 4th different person the story and when my son rang them himself today they have gone round in circles again asking all the same questions. He answered them, told them we have uploaded all documents and reason for lapse, and now again they say provide named driving van proof (fleet insurance so not named as a driver, it's open drive to employees with full license). The temp cover will be up on 3rd October and we are just at a loss as to what to do. They were quick to take the money from us. I would not be dealing with them again. Sometimes getting cheaper isn't always the answer.

Aviva Insurance Ireland dealt with a recent claim in a very speedy and professional manner. I received regular updates by email and telephone. When I recently renewed my insurance they were very efficient. This was a stressful time but they dealt with the whole situation in a very sensitive and professional manner. Everyone I dealt with throughout the process were excellent.

Was about to renew my house insurance when by chance I went online to compare quotes,Aviva came up first and I put in my information and they came back Almost 100 euro cheaper than the company I had used for the last 4 years,

Spoke with two different agents on separate occasions and they were wonderful to deal with. Got a fantastic qoute on my policy. Very happy with this service will certainly recommend.

The most unhelpful company when it comes doing a temporary transfer of car insurance. With them over 10 years and they left me in the lurch on 2 occasions refusing to do a temporary transfer of insurance while hiding behind the "underwriters" as if they are a seperate company.

Trying to log on and create a password is not the easiest

I think this must be the worst insurance company on the market! I started a new job recently and needed a letter of indemnity to claim my travel expenses, first when I rang they said no problem you will have it in 48 hours. When it didn't arrive I rang them back and was told they would not give me one until I was renewing my insurance and they would give me one from my renewal date. So I am supposed to lose all my expenses, for several weeks, when I asked the person on the phone to explain why they were doing this I got " well that's the way it is" I asked her to make it make sense and she hung up on me, they are the the greatest shower of incompetent rip off merchants you will come across. If I could have given -5 stars I would, even one star is to many for them. Avoid otherwise you may get ripped off!!

Very happy with all the interactions with you

I tried to ammend my rebuild cost on policy renewal. I made many phone calls. The request was not processed, then processed for an incorrect value. I phoned (an submitted an online complaint) and was assured that the correct documents would be issued to me. The next day I recieved (via Portal) updated documents with the wrong amount again. I called again, only to deal with an arrogant agent who tries to blame me, even though I had been explicit in my request and they messed it up again
