Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 77 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers frequently struggled with frustrating software connectivity issues, constant paper jams, and unexpected hardware malfunctions that made printing nearly impossible. Customers also complained that expensive ink cartridges, unexpected maintenance costs, and poor design choices resulted in a very disappointing and costly daily user experience. Some reviewers were happy with the helpful customer service team and products that ultimately functioned correctly after receiving support. A few other people also noted that certain specific printer models successfully delivered fast printing speeds, produced sharp documents, and worked brilliantly from day one.

awful printers - constant paper jams

awful printers. My second one and the last time! Both my printers having constant paper jams.
Also alignment issues even when brand new.
It would cost more to post back to repair than buy a new one so I didn't.

Canon PIXMA G3570

I recently bought a Canon PIXMA G3570, advertised as Chromebook compatible. It prints in normal quality from my phone and tablet, but from my Chromebook it only prints in draft, even when set to Normal or High.
I contacted Canon who promised to send an email requesting information they could use to look into this problem but the email did not arrive. I have removed and re‑added the printer and tried all available settings. Please confirm if this is a known ChromeOS issue and what solution or refund/replacement you can offer.

Printer TS3750i
No wonder why the rating is awful
Wish I had seen this before purchasing canon printer and subscription.
Just a note to users that once the subscription is activated even if you print using your own cartridges the count will appear in your consumption/count.
The advisor asked me to install old cartridges and activate the service as the printer was undetectable when I installed the new cartridges. So after activating I printed a few pages to test the printer was working before instances cartridges and the count was shown under subscription usage. Tried to get in touch for help and they said it’s the system design and there no way around it. Really ? Please try to make life was for people.

Problems with paper and wasted ink

Your printer doesn’t seem to like printing properly at all. I’ve tried about literally 100 times to print off one sheet of paper and every time it goes to print off the design it likes to crumple the paper at the edge so it can’t go further into the machine. Then it continues to waste my ink by still trying to print on no paper as the paper isn’t going through. Yes it is little bits of ink each time as I do cancel the print as soon as the paper gets stuck but it’s gotten to the point where I can’t even use the printer and I’m spending lots of money on new ink and more paper that won’t be used for the sole purpose of what I bought it for. I’m just frustrated I’ve spent so much money on a printer that I thought would finally work without having to play with it for hours on end. I’ve been experiencing this issue for months now and I don’t like writing horrible reviews but I just couldn’t not write about how irritating my experience has been.

Over ride the Canon pattern cartridge histrionics...

The way Canon make it difficult for us to use non-Canon ink cartridges is pathetic. Throwing up all kinds of objections and pop ups warning that everything is awful. They won't read the cartridge ink level, even though it easily could. Honestly pathetic.
If it won't print after you've fitted a perfectly good pattern cartridge, print your document then hold down the Red Circle with a Triangle in it and over ride the Canon histrionics. Amazingly, your horrendous cartridge begins to print perfectly.

Printer refuses to Print

Replaced my ink cartridges and all I get is an error code as the printer (TS3750i) refuses to recognise them or print. Now just an expensive dust-gathering ornament. I will never buy another Canon printer!

Canon UK customer Support

I have a problem with my Canon Printer but the website takes you round and round in circles - its absolutely useless and not what you would expect from a global brand like Canon. I wont be buying anymore of their products - their support is terrible.

Extremely Disappointing Experience

I ordered a camera from Canon nearly three weeks ago and still have not received it.

Initially, I watched the tracking update to show the parcel had reached a UPS depot, where it then remained for three days with no movement. When I contacted Canon, I was told to speak to UPS. UPS then told me the issue needed to be dealt with by Canon, leaving me stuck between the two companies with no clear ownership of the problem.

Eventually, it looked like Canon dispatched another package. However, I then received an email stating that the package had been delivered, despite both of us being at home all day. There was no delivery, no signature obtained, no photo proof provided.

Since then, I have contacted Canon customer services almost every day. Each time I am told that the matter has been forwarded to the relevant team, but nobody can provide an update, timescale, or resolution. I am now nearly three weeks on from placing my order and still have no camera and no clear explanation of what has happened.

The customer service team are polite, but the overall experience has been incredibly frustrating. The lack of communication, accountability, and urgency has been very disappointing. For a company of Canon's reputation, I expected far better.

I simply want the camera I paid for, or a prompt refund. Until this is resolved, I cannot recommend ordering directly from Canon.

Blocking my printing.

Blocking my printing.
I don't care if your machine says it's out of ink just do what i say and print. It's my right to print. Just print. If I knew cannon was so bad I would have gone to it's competitor.

Greedy controlling Canon

Sick to death of Canon printers playing-up when you use a perfectly good non-Canon ink cartridge.

Their firmware updates spike you from using non Canon cartridges. They try to force you to buy their ink at circa £35,000 per litre pro rata.

You buy a cheaper replica. It's identical size, identical ink. It says on the label its suitable as an alternative - but your Canon printer stops you using it because it wants you to buy ink from them.

It would be like buying a car then the car manufacturer refusing to allow you to put petrol into it unless you bought the petrol from them too.

I'm done with Canon. I needed to print something urgently today but wasted two hours trying to get my printer to accept perfectly good compatible cartridges - which it wouldn't - so couldn't print. It should have been a 30 second job.

Will never buy Canon again.

UPDATE: Since posting this review the Canon printer now resorts to an error code which prohibits me from even scanning, telling me I need to take the printer into a Canon approved shop for resolution.

Terrible customer support

I have been using Canon cameras for 20 years. I moved over from Leica as their digital technology was more advanced. Over the years the one thing I feel is that they dont listen to customer needs. They produced large fast PRO lenses that you require a wheel barrow to carry. They have never produced any PRO spec smaller lenses more suited for the professional travel photographer. The cameras always lack a feature that another camera has. Or they update a model and leave off a great feature the last camera you owned had. More recently I have purchased a Canon R5II and it works well. So I bought a Canon R3 for its low light capabilities. You cannot set the camera up to function the same as the R5II. So on set you have to have two brains. I have tried to contact Canon about issues I have with their system but they never respond. I think many photographers are moving to Sony and I'm beginning to see why. Customer support at Canon is at an all time low.

BIASED ADVICE

I recently purchased a Canon PIXMA TR4755i Wireless Inkjet Printer - Black through Argos.

I took the machine out of the box and began to set it up for use. I followed the online instructions to download the drivers via my Mac PC. Following several unsuccessful attempts at doing this, I sought help from a Canon online technical chat adviser who couldn’t resolve the problem either, and advised me that one of the Canon team would ring me on my mobile. This new ‘techy’ rang, and after following his instructions, I was able to give him remote access to my laptop. He was unable to download the drives and advised me that the issue was not with the Canon software, but with my machine.

I asked how I could resolve the problem. He went through a number of options, involving fees ranging from £180.00 to £210.00.

I thought at the time that the problem with the PC was obviously a common one, judging from the way he quickly rolled out the costed options to resolve it.

The following day, I relayed the story to my son, who suggested he come and look at the problem for me. I assumed the complexity of the issue would be beyond his capabilities, so was therefore surprised when he had the printer set up and working within five minutes.

I now feel I was being ‘played’ to get me to spend money to resolve a problem with my machine that didn’t exist in the first place.

CANCELLED MY ORDER WITHOUT A VALID…

CANCELLED MY ORDER WITHOUT A VALID REASON I’m trying 4 time order I think they are scammers—they have an offer listed but don't want to sell; a lot of people are dealing with this. If you pay the full price, there’s no problem buying it. It's a scam—a total disaster.

Excellent hardware, ruined by useless software.

Excellent hardware destroyed by willful useless incompetent software.

I've been a canon user of several items for a couple of decades now. It's a shame to see them make incredible hardware but throw it all away because the people in charge think software and user interface and reliability doesn't matter.

Canon connect app is awful on android and IOS. They do not want to listen to customers. Thank you for the years of great hardware. This will be our very last canon devices because you do not care about your customers.
