Not enough hairdressers. The last three times I have visited this salon I’ve had to walk out! Such a stupid system! Prices keep going up and hairdressers going down!!

I wasnt going to do a review however its been eating away at me. My daughter who is 11 yrs old and I both went in for a wash cut and blow dry and we checked the price list while waiting to book in, so knew roughly how much it would cost just for a trim as they advertise from £23 (expecting it to cost no more than £50), and my daughter had a little layers at the front only. Neither of us had much cut off, and was washed, dried in about 30 mins. When I got to the till, she said £84!!! I Repeated what she said and I should have questioned it but felt anxious anyway, she charged me & my daughter £42 each & to be fair I was so taken aback, I couldnt wait to get out of there. Surely children are usually cheaper than adults? But £42 each wow. I have a loyalty card and have 6 stamps on there, and always felt comfortable and recommended my fam & friends there because it was good value, but as a single mum, I cant afford £84. So Ive had to cancel halloween plans with my daughter, as I feel like ive been robbed, and have no money left to do what we had planned. Daughters happy with her layered strands though. But i wont go back nor take my daughter there as I used to every few months.

Went in for a £23 hair trim. Was strongly advised that my hair didn't need cutting and needed a bond mask applied. I was put under a lot of pressure to have the treatment. I have fine, thin shoulder length hair and she charged me £46 for this 15 minute mask. Absolute rip off. They get you in and sell,sell,sell. Never ever again.

I’ve been going to Cellys now for a year or more . I was so afraid anxious of hairdressers but after just one visit I was relaxed and made to feel so welcome . Jeanie and justina do my hair and they do it to perfection . Both so friendly I totally enjoy coming to Cellys would recommend celly to evryone x

I was very disappointed with my experience at this salon.

Firstly, I was kept waiting for more than 45 minutes. During this time, I could see hairstylists who appeared to be free and chatting, but I was still not called. I understand that salons can get busy, but such a long wait without any clear explanation was frustrating.

I originally did not want a wash and cut, but the stylist strongly encouraged me to have it, so I agreed. After the wash and haircut, I was then surprised to leave the salon with wet hair.

I wasn't expecting a full professional blow-dry or styling, but I would have expected at least a basic or quick dry, especially after being encouraged to have the wash and cut.

Unfortunately, I wasn't happy with the overall experience or how my hair looked afterwards. I feel the waiting time and what was actually included in the service should have been communicated much more clearly.

I had a highly disappointing experience here today for a wash, cut, and blow-dry with Carolina. Her negative attitude and poor communication made it feel like she didn't want to do her job. The entire service was completely rushed and took only 20 minutes.When she asked how I parted my hair I requested a zigzag side parting, she snapped that she couldn't cut hair that way, and after trimming a couple of inches straight off the length and a small feather cut (2 minutes total) she asked if I wanted straighteners or a blow-dry.
After blow-drying, she left me with a standard middle parting and asked how I liked it. when I said ‘could you fix the parting?’, she literally handed me her comb and told me to "do it yourself." I explained how I had come to get my hair done not ‘do it myself’…she tried to explain herself by saying it was for me to do it the way I wanted but tbh I left feeling so disappointed and it was unlike any hairdresser I've been to before…usually I go away feeling a million dollars and my hair looks and feels amazing.
I rarely treat myself these days and this was supposed to lift me after some difficult life challenges but I left the salon feeling completely uncared for and disrespected.
I don't like to write negative things about people and I did say to her I know how hard the job must be, but the end of the 20 minutes cut n blow was so deflating!! I usually tip £5 but not this time! Will not be returning!!

The staff were amazing but the cost quickly increased and I am sure there was no real conditioning treatments after my daughter and I had full head of colour and highlights/low lights. Great environment but not cheaper than other hairdressers... I also asked for some platinum highlighlights which I didnt get.

First visit to Bristol Cellys - super affordable and staff were flexible and warm. I'm sooo pleased with my hair cut. Thank you Mana!

I went for a dry cut to take about 6in off and was told I had to have a wash and blow dry I've used these for years always cut dry was an inch they would have done it I'm sorry but this is bad customer service

Second visit. Will not go again. Didn’t listen to instructions. Hair 2 inches shorter than asked. I asked for the hair to sit and you my shoulders. My hair is chin level !! I hate looking at myself. At least it will grow and I can go to a decent hairdressers !

Went in today asked for some bleach foils just round the front and the man said it would need toning I said my hair lifts fine with bleach . He took me over and proceeded to cut a church out the back of my hair and told me to return in an hour !!! I’m thinking why the hell has he done this !! I go back and they show me how the bleach lifted my hair SOMETHING I ALREADY KNEW 😡 staff are rude don’t communicate very well !! Worst experience at a hairdressers I have ever had….

Had to wait a while as busy but Jade was very welcoming as always, did a great job of getting rid of my greys and cut, polite, and engaged in conversation, a lovely experience as always. Connie James 02/07/26

Cherene at Cellys Taunton is worth her weight in platinum never mind gold. I always have the foils and cut and always leave feeling very very happy. A lovely lady to chat to while she works her magic on my hair ! Thanks Cherene x
