Found the items I wanted and at a price lower than others. The site is easy to use and ordering simple. Will be back to use again.
I ordered 3 items online which on there site said all was in stock next day they rung and said one of the items where out of stock and I would get my delivery on the friday
Then I checked status online on Friday and a different item was out of stock so had to ring return the item that was out of stock then pay 20 for Saturday delivery
Ordered from Charterhouse Twice now (both times for seachem prime) Cheapest place on the net overall when combining price with postage. Only downside for me is they specialise mostly in Marine where as I have not been brave enough to try going marine yet so the only product that I need from them is Prime.
Found product easy to set up, easy to use,shimmer effect looks fantastic. It brings out the colour in the corals and fish. The product was well worth the price.
I recently made an order with Charterhouse for frozen food. sadly the courier company Interlink let them down badly. they failed to deliver the items next working day. So Charterhouse offered to send replacements of what they had in stock.
and were assured 100% the parcel would arrive Friday..
no such parcel , and i got an email from Interlink informing me i wont get my parcel until Monday 13th.
Charterhouse have issued a refund , and i believe they will be contacting Interlink about there lack of service.
I came across Chartehouse when looking for plumbing supplies for adding a fluid media reactor in-line with my external filter. They have a great range of products and I was able to pick-up everything I needed at very competitive prices. I also has a look at the other products that they have and I will definitely be using Charterhouse again. While I will continue to support my LFS as much as possible they can't always compete on the range of products, availability and price. Finally, I would like to say that I was impressed. One of the products in my order was shown as in stock when it was not due to a stock error. They phoned up to let me know and discuss the options. The delay was only a day or two so in the end I just waited. Many organizations would not take the time to make a call.
Couldn't ask for more from these guys. Orders are shipped very quickly and customer service is 5 star, not to mention excellent prices too.
Ive been a sporadic buyer from this site for about 3 years and every time I have purchased I have always been delighted. The goods always arrive within a day or 2 at the most ( sometimes the next day even when placed late) and are always in perfect condition. Best of all is the 'advice' service. Recently had a query reguarding safety of aquarium medications and the query was answered promptly and efficiently. For this reason alone I doubt I will bother with local suppliers again as the regular shop assistant doesnt have the wealth of knowledge that these guys have. Cant fault the goods or service at all.
Have placed a few orders now for both dry goods and livestock, and have been very pleased with the service and like the way you are kept informed about your order status and delivery.
The only thing i would like is the option to choose partial shipment of an order if some parts are not in stock. the work around for this however is to split into two orders, stocked and back ordered parts.

I ordered my Biorb service pack and paid for next day delivery to Scotland and it was there before 12 the following day. As always excellent service at a reasonable price. My only gripe is that I now live in the republic of Ireland and have done for 3 years now. There are no international delivery options even when I'm prepared to pay extra. I chatted to Charterhouse about this shortly after I moved here and ran out of Biorb supplies and they assured me that this service would be available within the coming months. 2 and bit years on and still no sign of international delivery options. This means I have to get stock posted to family in Scotland who kindly post it onto me. Its a big inconvenience but the only way I can get supplies. No stockists of Biorb in ROI.
I was stuck for a flow regulator for an R.O. water machine. The shop that I purchased it from seemed unable to grasp that these devices rely on back pressure to force water through the filtration process. I tried several local shops who didn't stock the item. They seemed in short supply on the internet too. I was being quoted two weeks for delivery.
I contacted this company and the device arrived in two days, saving me considerable trouble.

I purchased an Elos Magnesium Test Kit at well over £20 - so quite an expensive test kit.
I was happy that the item reached me very quickly, however I was extremely disappointed to be sent a test kit in May that expires the following September. That's only 4 months away. I contacted Charterhouse and was refunded £10 off the purchase price which was OK - I would have appreciated a newer test kit with a long expiry date and paid the full retail price however.
My main gripe is that no attempt was made to contact me stating that the kit only had a short shelf life before it was despatched. It's almost as if I was being fobbed off with old product in the hope that I would not notice the short shelf life remaining.
As a leading online aquatic retailer this is simply not good enough guys.
I would recommend Charterhouse to anyone. Their prices are good and the services is faultless, they keep you updated on your order until delivered. I have had items not ship because they were not in stock that day but were shipped a day later, brilliant.
They have a huge category of products.

Very impressive service from CHA, Communications were excellent all the way through the process from payment to delivery.. would 100% recommend from my experience.
As always I can see very easily whether an item is in stock and the estimated delivery date. The price was great and ordering was simple with all the options of payment I could need.
Would definately purchase from again - excellent service & reasonable prices too.
I have bought a few things now from charterhouse and unless something isn't in stock I wouldn't use anyone else . Customer service is second to none as the team are really helpful and would bend over backwards to sort any issues out.
With next day delivery in mind, placed an order of various goods on Thursday before bank holiday weekend. Selected ONLY "in stock" items so there would be no delays. Checked order once confirmation had come through, all ok. On not receiving despatch notice by 6pm re-checked the order. Now all of a sudden one small item out of stock, whole order now delayed until earliest Tuesday. On contacting customer services they said they had a stock fault and had sent me an email. Have never had problems with email correspondence in the past so I question this. The “support agent” was more than happy to cancel my order rather than organise me a Saturday delivery to correct their fault. In doing so he also cancelled any future orders!
