Left my wheelchair dependant sister in manchester after a concert despite prebooking her trip back to Liverpool. Took her 2 hours to find a black cab that would accomodate her electric wheelchair. She got home at 2am. Just recovered from pneumonia and left wandering the streets of manchester . Not the first time this has happened. They should be ashamed of themselves.
My sister is in supported living, all the residents try to use this company as services are lacking elsewhere. Drivers cancel regularly or arrive at pick up and then refuse wheelchairs. Discusting company

I tried to get to a hospital appointment today I explained am in a wheelchair electric one I normally use a pushing wheelchair but as I was alone I said to the operator over never used my electric wheelchair in a black cab explained how anxious I was as I was going for a procedure on the 2 week notice on nhs ( cancer ) so was panicking anyway I live in an assisted living apartment the manager tried to help apart from getting the ramp out the driver was as much use as chocolate teapot the 1st cab had been cancelled by them saying they had to swap driver so I can’t comment on that one but 2nd one was going on about the weight of the chair I know other firms take electric wheelchairs but because this firm advertised disabled travel that’s why i thought go with them but after being made to feel lower than a rattlesnake belly I will not ever attempt to go in a black cab with my chair so thank you combab your loss be someone else gain

Shouldn’t be in business .

Shouldn’t be in business .

Disgraceful service . Should be able to give a negative score .
My husband booked a taxi to get his hugely disabled parents and their carer to their grandsons wedding . The taxi didn’t arrive , the operator was excessively rude and four family members then had to spend twenty incredible stressful minutes trying to arrange alternative transport . The wedding was delayed and they missed it . Utterly disgraceful .
All five star reviews are planted .

DON’T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THESE COWBOYS.

DON’T GO ANYWHERE NEAR THESE COWBOYS.

I booked 24 hours in advance on the app for my son’s wedding . My father is in a wheelchair.

I rang on the morning of the wedding to check and was assured all was well.

Taxi didn’t show and when I rang to challenge I was timed the drivers were all on school runs and I didn’t care about disabled children!

MY FATHER THEN MIISED HIS GRANDSON’S WEDDING!!!!!!!!

Sorry, but my disabled father’s wedding attendance was a bit more important to me at the time.

I WOULD AVOID THESE AT ALL COST. UNRELIABLE AND RUDE.

YOU’RE MUCH SAFER WITH UBER ASSIST

Cancelled after 30 mins late were we were then late for the show. Disappointing as this was our 60th wedding anniversary. Joined uber. Brilliant.

Absolutely awful

Absolutely awful! What’s the point in providing a service if you can’t fulfil it? There have been times that we have waited for a cab for over an hour just waiting outside. There will be time that it’s even been an hour and a half. The drivers are always lovely, it’s just the the system doesn’t work. They need to sort it out or just don’t bother with the service.

98 year old left stranded despite confirmed booking.

Prebooked a week in advance for my 98 year old wheelchair dependant relative to attend a funeral service at church via Taxicard. Comcab got her there, but despite the confirmed booking to take her back home, she waited for 3 hours in the heatwave told no driver accepting job as they don’t like short journeys. The booking line said “journeys are not guaranteed”. This is a joke of a company exploring the vulnerable.

This is the second time in recent months I have been let down. Four days ago I booked a taxi for 09.10 this morning to get me to a central London hospital important appointment. I am disabled. No message at all from comcab, I phoned them and was simply told no driver assigned. At incredibly short notice I had to make other arrangements. Very poor management and customer care.

Waste of NHS funding

Please check out Change.org there is a petition to remove Comcab from the NHS service……… Stop NHS funding for Comcab patient transfer .
To be honest , one star is the minimum and is still too high , we’ve been unfortunate enough to have to use them as part of the Patient transport service for transport to the Clatterbridge Cancer hospital and as if going through Cancer treatment isn’t stressful enough, worrying about if the transport will actually turn up for treatment is so stressful, it’s making the decision to say feck it that much easier …… they advise all patients to be ready two hours before treatment so the taxi or transport can collect you and to be honest they turn up more times just in time or up to two hours late ……. Sitting in the transport lounge and asking others about their experience has confirmed that whoever procured this Comcab service firmly had the head up their own arse ……. Or maybe the brown envelope was the decision maker ??

The Taxi Card Scheme is an absolutely appalling service that does nothing to help those with disabilities

The Taxi Card Scheme is an absolutely appalling service. I've noted that they don't even bother responding to the numerous complaints on this site?

I actually feel sorry for the taxi drivers as 99%, delays are caused by the Taxi Card Scheme Operators. I've recently submitted a formal written complaint to the various government agencies about the service and I hope that it's helpful to list email addresses here that my complaint has been sent to - I live in Kensington, therefore, you would need to find/email your councils accessibility email. If these shower of idiots who were awarded the Taxi Card contract had any professionalism, they would at the very minimum issue apologies for the distress caused by this service!!!! (Sorry, truspilot is not permitting me to list complaint email addresses). Please Google Taxi Card Scheme complaints process and you will find all the email needed included TFL and ComCab

Just to reiterate, I have no criticism of the individual drivers who eventually attended. In my experience, they have generally been helpful and apologetic. Several have also expressed frustration that bookings are not allocated to them promptly, even when they are available and who end up ‘getting it in the neck’ from the service users. My complaint is about the management, allocation, communication and customer service systems supporting the scheme

Never using them again

Never using them again, I even deleted
My account. I am fed up of them letting me down for Hospital appointments and once again today even after booking 8 hours before they have let me down but this time it’s going to cost me. They are to busy on their bread n butter school runs to worrying about the public. It’s VEEZU from now on.

ComCabs Archie - I would like to say a massive thank to…

I would like to say a massive thank to ComCabs who have provided an excellent service and ALWAYS made the journey to Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital from Chester courteous, helpful and highly committed to an excellent customer experience.

A special thank you to Archie who made an exceptional effort to find me after an unfortunate mix up by Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital regarding my location on this vast site.

After a considerable amount of time and numerous phone calls in the evening after reception staff had gone home Archie located me and got me home safe and sound after my operation, what a fantastic driver and a superb advert for the ComCabs company name.

Many Thanks Archie & ComCab 10 Stars. And a massive thank you to Angela in the Control Room.
Great Firm To Deal With!!!

Best

Terrible experience today

Terrible experience today. Ordered a taxi to take my 90 year old wheelchair bound mother to take her home from hospital.
Firstly the driver did not attempt to secure the wheelchair. Just put Mum in the back of the cab via the ramp and started to drive off. I called to him to stop and secure the wheelchair which he did via a seatbelt extension he got from the boot. He left the meter running whilst he was doing this and it was showing £6.60 before we had gone anywhere. He said it was right as he was 'loading'. I pointed out under the Disabilty act he had to:
1 secure a wheelchair before driving
2 not start the meter until said wheelchair was secure.
He reset the meter. We set off, as he went round a corner Mums wheelchair shot across the cab and I grrabbed hold of it. He hadn't secured the chair at all. One part of the seatbelt wasn't plugged into anything. I shouted to him to stop. He then got out and pulled the seatbelt so tight across Mum he hurt her. We had to tell him to loosen it to an acceptable level.
No apology, no acknowledgement he had done anything wrong. Had this been a disabled person alone they would have suffered a serious injury. I have hurt my back stopping the chair from hitting the side of the cab.
This is dangerous, unsafe and unlawful behaviour. I have raised a formal complaint. Do not use this company.

Avoid at all costs if requiring a…

Avoid at all costs if requiring a wheelchair accessible taxi for a specific time. Appalling service and terrible customer service. Booked a wheelchair accessible taxi for a special occasion 6 days in advance to take us to a restaurant and collect 2 hours later. Due to requiring a carer to accompany us, timings were very important. I had already discussed the booking on the telephone due to some special requirements. I booked using the app and added a note stating our requirements as discussed. I assumed as I had booked that a suitable vehicle had been allocated. Clearly not! 30 mins before it was due I received a telephone call from a woman who clearly did not care less that they were letting us down, to say that there wasn't anyone in the area now and so a taxi was unlikely to come. I was told I should be grateful that she had rung me to tell me and not just had the taxi not turn up. After speaking to a manager and discussing trading standards, we did get a taxi. The whole occasion was ruined, the vehicle was not as booked and could not accommodate the 4 people it had been booked for meaning one person had to get an uber. The taxi drivers, once arrived, were extremely helpful.
