Poor quality turf & topsoil - lawn died!
We normally use another local company for turf supplies but tried Dandys - within 3/4 weeks grass was dead and brown, top soil was bone dry although we watered every day to keep on top of it (husband is a local gardener) I complained to them and was told it was the aftercare!! I advised them the grass was dead, the top soil was dried out - I then sent a further email and no reply this time, £ down the pan. We have been advised to use soil soaker and the grass has grown back in parts after seeding which should never have happened to start with. Would never use again aftercare if poor!

When we discussed the issue with you, we did explain that the lawn had not been watered anywhere near enough, particularly given the warmer and drier conditions at the time the turf was laid. Newly laid turf requires a significant amount of water to establish, and consistent hydration is particularly important during periods of warm, dry weather.
The fact that a specialist has since recommended using a lawn soaker would also suggest that the area required considerably more hydration. A lawn soaker is specifically designed to help improve water penetration and retention within the soil, providing the moisture that the lawn was lacking and helping to encourage stronger rooting and greener growth. It is therefore positive to hear that the lawn has started to recover in areas following additional watering and reseeding.
We had not received any other complaints regarding the turf from this particular batch, and based on the photographs you provided, the symptoms being experienced were visibly consistent with a lawn that was not receiving sufficient moisture rather than an issue with the turf itself.
We are also sorry that you feel your further email was not responded to. We did respond to your last email, but we have not received anything further from you since then, so we were under the impression that the matter had been resolved.

I had an issue with my order where the couriers had damaged the pallet and caused my gravel bags to rupture, I wrote to dandy’s straight away and Guy got back to me within minutes profusely apologising and processed a refund for the damaged bags immediately. Couldn’t ask for more, you don’t get service like that any more!

Updated - Terrible service
The delivery was left on the public pavement outside my house despite clear instructions to place it inside the garden or beside the house in the gynnel. As a result, it obstructed the pavement and caused understandable concern among my neighbours. I received no phonecall or contact at the time of the delivery to alert me to any issues with the instruction.
When I contacted customer service to raise the issue, I was met with the response, "What do you want me to do about it?".
The product itself may be fine, but the delivery and customer service were extremely disappointing. I wouldn't use this company again based on this experience.
Update 7 July - The company, having read my review, while unable to come back to move the delivery, offered to refund the delivery cost plus 20% discount on the product.
They also informed me of further training / guidance to be provided to their delivery driver and customer service staff.

Thank you for your feedback.
Having discussed the delivery with the driver, he explained that there were two cars parked outside your property which prevented him from positioning the crane where he would normally have done. He knocked on both your door and your neighbour's door but received no response.
The driver positioned the bag as close to the wall and the ginnel as the crane would allow with the parked vehicles restricting access. From his assessment, the bag was close enough to the wall that it was not obstructing the pavement. Had he believed it was causing an obstruction, he would have returned the bag to our depot rather than leave it there.
As we only operate our free crane delivery service into the Manchester area once a week, the driver believed leaving the bag in the safest location available would be preferable to taking it away and delaying your delivery until the following week. Unfortunately, it appears this caused more inconvenience than anticipated, and for that I am sorry.
