Superb service in every way

Right from the moment my vendor sent me an email advising me that DPD were delivering my parcel I knew that it would arrive at the stated time.

This is the 4th time I have received a package delivered by DPD - each time I have been updated with information about delivery time, and each time the delivery has been spot on. I have to say that it has also been fun tracking where the delivery driver is during the day.

The driver Daniel was cheerful (he's been before) and the parcel was delivered in an immaculate condition (unlike some deliveries we've had from other companies ).
I cannot rate this company too highly - thank you DPD.

Bad start, good finish!

I received my notification that the my consignment was due between 13:15 and 14:15, I kept a diligent look out for the delivery when I suddenly received a test to say there was no one in to sign for the parcel, I was livid after waiting in all morning especially for the parcel. I phoned customer support and spoke to Tim Halls who was very good but after speaking to the Oldbury depot he told me the parcel could not be re-delivered later the same day! After some 'discussion' about customer service, Tim finally managed to arrange a driver who lived near to me to drop the parcel off to me on his way home and later the same evening a very kind man called Peter turned up at 7pm to deliver my parcel. What infuriated me was that the original driver hadn't bothered to get out of his van, just simply got to the end of my road, took a picture of the road name and then had the audacity to report no one was in to sign for the package! Unbelievably this wasn't the first time DPD have done this, although I'm not sure it was the same driver.

Absolutely livid!

After getting a text this morning I was expecting my delivery between half 10:30 and 11:30.
We kept looking out the window but nothing showed up, the van didn't even come down the road! After this I checked the tracking and apparently it had been signed for in Newbury by us. We live in Oxford so clearly this isn't right.
Nobody came to our door and no calling cards were left.
Very annoyed as have been trying to get this parcel for two months and this is just something else to try and sort out!
This is the second occasion something hasn't been delivered properly, the first being the delivery driver sat outside of the house on two occasions with the same parcel and didn't even bother knocking. Had to wait outside the house in the end and even then he tried to get away! Stupid and ridiculous!

Fantastic service

I was given an hours time slot for my delivery and I knew I was not going to be at home so I sent the driver a note to give them a safe place to leave it. I was able to track his progress and even received a picture of where it was left so I knew it was delivered safely. Why can't every delivery company be like this? I look forward to my next DPD delivery.

Brilliant

Amazing service! I wasn't in but left a note on the door where to leave the parcel in a safe place. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a text with a link to see photos of where the parcel was and that my note had been received :) I'm excited to get home and get it!

Just perfect

Dpd delivery is great. Have never been let down. Most of the times whilst awaiting for delivery all my parcels get delivered with in the first half hour of my delivery slot.

I love the fact you get a text to say parcel will be delivered within an hour time slot and you can follow the parcel if you so wish. My latest parcel was due to be delivered on Tuesday but because of the bank holiday it was delivered on the Saturday so in all very impressed with this delivery company.

THE WORST COMPANY IN THE WORLD

So normally due to service issues in the past we asked all our suppliers not to use dpd, as they have let us down on so many occassions in the past I have lost count.

Our supplier used DPD, there new driver failed to find our business yesterday and took a photo of another building building down the road, we were then told that they were very sorry! and they would get it on an early delivery for us today, We get a text saying Ameer will be delivering between 4.28- and 5.28 pm, How helpfull that it, I phone to complain and am told we are sorry again and there is nothing they can do.

You suck
you dont care about your customers
you constantly try to save money by employing self employed drivers who dont know the area.

Your sorry mean nothing, your service is crap, I will now have to let my customers down thanks to you.

Very Profesional Service

Delivered when it was promised,also sending a text a day prior to the delivery giving the approximate delivery time within 1 hour,saves lots of time for me.

Waited all day, watched other people get there package, BAM:

Sorry, we couldn't deliver your parcel today, because of the bad weather; we will update you here shortly.

Its not even raining. Not the best pleased, I live in a very secluded area, but they didn't even ring me to ask for directions etc etc. I would even happily walk for 5 minutes to meet them somewhere.

Frustrating and a waste of my day

I received a text at 8.25 this morning informing me that Dominic would be delivering my parcel between 11.57 and 12.57, I've received further delivery info throughout today, good stuff I thought, as I've really been looking forward to taking delivery of my parcel..... alas these notifications have become empty promises....

My tracking advice informs me my parcel had been delivered and signed for ... 30 miles away at 12.20pm, I've called DPD but of course on Saturday their office is only open for half a day... the first half ....... half day in the middle of a long Easter weekend.... really irritating that they are not there and that their customer service line is expensive to call in order to learn they are not there !

I'm unsure as to how Dominic could be so confused about the delivery destination.... 30 miles out is a large error, Exeter is clearly not Torquay...

They lied to us, wasted half our day

After receiving an email advising us the parcel would arrive today between 11:48 and 12:48 we changed our plans for the day and waited in. We tracked driver Jamie around the area, he got to parcel 40 and we were 42. Next thing, an email saying they couldn't deliver because no one was here. A blatant lie - apart from there being 4 of us here waiting for the delivery so that we could go out, the child who the parcel was for had been watching for the van since 11:00 'in case he came early'.
There was no calling card (not surprising as there was no van either). Why tell us it would arrive today if they were not even going to try, and worse still why lie to us?
Wasted half our day and disappointed a child. What a shambles. Unreliable, unprofessional, dishonest. I may not be able to choose who other businesses use to send parcels to me, but I can choose who I use and, perhaps more significantly, strongly influence who my employer uses. Not DPD as far as I'm concerned - I wouldn't want this lack of service in my companies name.

Absolute useless service

What a crap company to deal with! For the last three days their tracking site has been telling me of great news that they have my parcel and its on its way to me. I paid twice the value of the goods on Monday to have next day delivery, its now Friday so where is it? Tried contacting them through their website two days ago, which promises to get back within 24 hours, that's a wind up as well. It may only have been a small package but its disrupted our Easter. Thanks a bunch DPD!

FAST FIRST CLASS SERVICE

Email received on the morning of delivery advising a time slot between 11.50 and 12.50 and the name of the driver. I was able to track the whereabouts of the delivery van which gives very precise information and when checking at 11.45 it was telling me that Daniel would be with me within 30 minutes and he arrived at 12.12. Daniel is an extremely pleasant young man and is certainly a good ambassador for your company.
I just hope that more companies will use you because the service you provided today was second to none.

brilliant parcel delivery service!

Never has this company ever delivered outside their stated one hour delivery time! I cannot fault them & the drivers they employ are polite, friendly & courteous! I recommend completely.

The best parcel company I have dealt with

Arrived on time, to the right location (not easy as in our case most SatNavs take you to the wrong place). Van was clean inside and out, driver was polite and helpful. System worked exactly as it should. I wish all parcel companies were as good as this.

Very Bad Service!

Had a 24 hour service turn up 48 hours later had to explain to the son on his 6th birthday that his present is going to be late. Not happy
