Appalled

Photographing my door is possible but phoning my number is not it seems.

I ordered a PC from Chillblast around two weeks ago and selected Saturday delivery as this is the only time I can be available to collect the machine. After waiting most of the morning in eager anticipation for the specially built machine to be delivered with my mobile phone sitting by my side, I found that the delivery window I was given had passed.

So I checked the website and to my shock saw a picture of my front door on the site with a note saying "we have been but no one was here to sign for the parcel".

So I phoned the 0845 customer service line, no more than 30 minutes after my delivery window had passed and the lady I spoke to tried to contact the driver. She could not get through to either him or the depot as there was no answer from either. She suggested "he's probably gone home for the day". She then proceeded to offer me lots of delivery alternatives, none of which are even the slightest bit useful to me, as the whole point of me paying £40 for Saturday delivery is that it's the only day I can take the order.

Now, I have had countless items delivered to this address over the last 6 months. If a pizza delivery man can give my phone a quick buzz for a £10 pizza, is this too much to ask for a £1300 piece of computer hardware?

The simple result is that I am cancelling the order. Chillblast won't be getting my money and DPD are getting a complaint. My money will go to another PC company who uses a delivery company that is capable of making a 10 second phone call - you know, the way pizza delivery guys do?!

Quite frankly I'm staggered at the incompetence

Unreliable Drivers, Unreliable Service

As a live event producer, its important i get printing on time, according to schedule. It's not easy to find a good and quick printers but when you do, its very upsetting when they hire a delivery service like this. Completely let me down!

The driver decided, that our business which is fully staffed (from 8am-6pm), was not available for delivery around lunchtime. Clearly no consideration for business or time. I called DPD to complain and now have to wait 3 more days till delivery (in this line of work i can make a whole new order and get it delivered in that time)

Haven't even received an apology from the company. Terrible service, there's much better couriers out there. Steer clear of these guys.

Dreadful Service

Iam not happy about a Saturday delivery that I have paid for being delayed until Tuesday it appears the parcel is in Gloucester somewhere. It apparently is ok though as they have sorted it. Well it is not ok at all and Tuesday delivery is not ok either. I have always had issues with DPD one drama after another. I will be contacting the supplier and advising them yet again that their carrier has let them down and lost them nearly £1000 worth of business. It was required for a wedding tomorrow not acceptable.

Best carrier of them all

Received e-mail from DPD on the morning after placing my order giving me a time slot, and drivers name. I was able to follow his progress in my town, and was constantly updated on e-mail using a local map, on his whereabouts, the number of deliveries he had completed and the estimated time of my delivery.
Dead on time a very pleasant driver, (Tony) arrived with my delivery.
A completely trouble free and easily managed delivery, and the best comms I have ever had from a delivery company.
I would use them anytime.

My Parcel was stolen certainly by DPD Staff

The Parcel was sent to us, from Poland, on 12/12/2013, picked up by DPD staff and has been treated as described on bellow (copied and pasted from Tracking website).
Aparently has arrived to the UK on the 20th of December. Inside there were some Christmas presents for the children and a pair of Roof bars grips from my car that I've forgotten when I've been there on Holidays.
By some supernatural power, my parcel has disappeared from "HUB 3 - Brimingham" on the 23rd of December. We've tried (us and the sender) to contact DPD and the answers were always very evasive and saying that there were investigations going on. One of the times I've tried to contact DPD Poland, one English speaker staff (female) said to her colleague (in Polish of course) "There is a crazy guy here and I cannot get along with him"
The sender (my sister in law) made the complain early January, Few weeks later my sister in Law was asked for the receipts of the items what she answered that she did not have it as some items were not hers and the grips I've bought it in Portugal, long time ago. Last week had a phone call from DPD in Poland saying that no compensation would take place because there is too long time already past and she cannot provide the receipts and, also, because the service had been contracted with another company, which is NOT TRUE AS I HAVE THE SHIPMENT WAY BILL AND SAYS CLEARLY DPD.
Is there any way to commit burglary lawfully? Apparently YES! Because some Staff just take possession without consent and they are protected by Management.
The parcel as been sent 3 months and 2 days ago and it is still ready for delivery as can be seen below.
When picked up, the sender has declared a value of 1600 Zlots (around £300) because just my grips worth nearly £220 and DPD does not refund the value and the money paid for the shipment has not been refunded neither.
Basically I was robbed and I paid for it.
For the staff who stole my items I have to say: " Enjoy it and be careful because one day you may have a job in what you are not protected"
For the DPD Complaints department (in Poland and England) I have to say: "Your are not less burglars than the staff who stole items so SHAME ON YOU!" Also I leave here the promise that I will do my best, and I really will, to take my experience as far as I can in order to protect people from you.
A parcel being lost or being given the wrong destiny I would say that it is acceptable. What is not acceptable is the mistreatment given to the losses and to the clients and there are very visible all the efforts made by DPD in order to get way with their responsibilities which are getting paid to provide a service to take something, which belongs to someone, to somewhere and if does not happens, so just have to compensate people for the losses. But you guys do not care, do you?

The best by far.

I've used numerous carriers and have no hesitation in declaring DPD the best by far.
They are clearly customer focused, as prior to delivery I am advised of the day of delivery, a specified 2 hour time slot and even the name of the driver !! (In my case Steve).
Should the delivery date be inconvenient I can also rearrange online. so no hanging around all day for the typical carrier who delivers between a vague 8:00 am and 6:30 pm .
And last but not least, I can even track the actual driver on the delivery day via an online map which details driver progress prior to delivery so that the customer can even estimate the actual delivery time within the given 2 hour time slot.
Custome focused, friendly and superbly efficient - what more could anyone ask?

Excellent customer service, well informed, always on time. Absolutely BRILLIANT!!!

I have used DPD on numerous occasions over the past few months and I am really impressed at the standard of service. I receive a text the night before as well as on the day of arrival providing me with an hourly delivery slot... I'm extremely busy so this ensures I never miss a delivery. Steve Wood, the delivery driver is always on time and extremely courteous. The access to my home is also extremely difficult but this doesn't waiver their enthusiasm. Their isn't one occasion over the dozens of times over the past couple of months when I would consider giving less that 5*s as every package has arrived on time with an excellent service. it's extremely rare that someone can maintain these high standards but I haven't been disappointed so far. Many thanks guys!

ian is the driver never any mix up with the delivery unlike some other companies. other

Terrible service yet again

Once again via Amazon (Prime membership), DPD failed to deliver next day. Yesterday received email that my order was with some fella in Dunstable en route, today my order states "Your parcel has arrived at your nearest depot in Dunstable and will be delivered Monday (4 days late) as requested". Number correct on Amazon so can't say texted me either. Also link to "change delivery" doesn't work.
Complained on numerous occasions to Amazon about DPD service. Amazon needs to show which orders will be dispatched by DPD so the consumer can make the decision. And we say this country is developed, yeah right.

Fast and great service

Thank you for the great service done. My parcel has to be delivered at an specific address in a concierge office. few hours before the day of the delivery I contacted the DPD via facebook to ask them to say something important to the concierge to be sure to have the parcel. Everything were done right.
What is great too, you can follow Live on a map the location of the driver !

I do recommand their service without a doubt !

Fantastic customer service!

I cannot fault this service; I have had 3 deliveries from you this week and every one perfect. This is brilliant for the customer and must also be a huge improvement for your company, given the high percentage of UK home deliveries that fail first time out because no-one is home. Thank you for helping to restore my faith in UK customer service. Your service makes receiving parcels so easy for me and my driver, Rich, is always on time, helpful, courteous and polite.

A total failure in communication

Today is the Fourth time DPD has failed to deliver my parcel as per the instructions they asked me to provide with on their website. What really worried me was when I spoke to Sam at customer services he could not access any of the instructions I had given to deliver my parcel on three occasions, let alone the driver.

The driver concerned has made no attempt to deliver the parcel as the image of my door number which appears to have to been taken on the first genuine attempt to deliver my parcel was reposted again and again.

As a secondary misery, I received an email alert for my parcel delivery window and would not open on any of the browsers on my mobile phone. I could not access the parcel reference number until I had access to a computer.

My question is to DPD is why put a system in place that doesnt work?

Absolutely brilliant delivery driver!

The driver that my company gets who delivers our parcels every morning is THE best delivery driver we have ever had. Andy, is very friendly and helpful and a lovely person. Without fail everyday he arrives at the time we expect our deliveries.

Bang on time. Very happy :-)

I had upgraded with 3 and was eager to have my new gold iPhone 5s in my hands. The delivery was booked for Tuesday 11th march and although I was at work I was hoping it would arrive late in the day sadly it was booked for 10-11 am. I rescheduled the delivery date to today online.(it is so easy to rearrange the date this way too. No fuss at all) and has arranged the handset arrived bang within the one hour time slot. Absolutes no complaints what so ever. BRILLIANT !!! Thank you to Carl who delivered my parcel xxx
