I believe that customers should not be forced to purchase another service simply because, due to circumstances beyond their control, they are unable to use the service they originally paid for.
Unfortunately, the course fee I paid to Evolanguage has not been refunded.
On the other hand, the blocked account, which I had never used before, was opened easily and closed just as easily thanks to Expatrio Bank — exactly as it should be. The trust that was shaken by one institution was restored by another.

When I purchased the language course, I was informed that cancellation and a refund would be possible in the event of a visa refusal. However, after my visa was refused, the language school has ignored my repeated requests for a refund for months and has instead kept my money while continuing to offer me alternative options that I do not want.
What should this be called?
I wish the €2,840 I paid for the language course had also been held in a blocked account at the same bank. That way, I could have recovered it safely as well.

I Paid for an in-person German course with EVOLANGUAGE.

PRIOR to booking, a staff Member confirmed in writing that course fees were fully refundable if visa issues arose.

Due to the war in Iran and the closure of German embassies in Baghdad and Erbil, it was entirely IMPOSSIBLE to apply for a visa or obtain an official refusal letter.

After making me wait 2-3 weeks inbetween Answers (multiple Months in total) for a review and refund of my money, they completely disregarded my humanitarian situation and declined my refund. DESPITE WRITTEN CONFIRMATION that I was entitled to one.

I never attended a single class, yet they kept my money, which is also a Ton of money for someone in my situation.

Prospective international students should be warned that EVOLANGUAGE will not honor their written refund promises or account for force majeure crises like war and embassy closures.

I booked an Online Exam for the 2nd time and unfortunately my Daughter was taken to hospital (Emergency) I emailed them as soon as I could, 7 hours before the Exam explaining the situation! I received an Email saying ok here’s a link to pay the 50€ fee! I spoke to several people and they made it very clear if i don’t pay then i can’t do the Exam that I already paid 190€ for. (Are these people Human) anyway i took the Exam apparently didn’t pass, first I had only 11% then in the next emails I had 75% ???then when I asked to see the paper ohhhh he’s not allowed to send it and I need to go to Hamburg to the school.
I rang the school and was told to send an Email like always that they never answer. SAVE YOUR MONEY THIS COMPANY IS A RIP OFF!! I’m not sure how they are allowed to carry on ripping people off.

This school is the worse language i have attended. Total waste of money. Management is bad teachers are more bad. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE.

Paid to have my daughter attend language classes and signed up on website. Even though website showed a class available, the school did not offer a class. School did not contact us to tell us there would be no class. Only learned that no class would be offered when my daughter showed up for class on Monday morning. Asked school to refund fee. School refuses and will not explain reason for not offering a refund. Needless to say, will not consider school for any future language training.

This language school was a disappointment for me, the material is not structured, it changes every week and you will understand absolutely nothing, I had to change the first teacher because of his incompetence, and because instead of helping us he was on the phone the whole class. If you really want to learn German do not go to this language school because you are paying for nothing. Good luck.

I booked a 16-week PREMIUM German course at Evolanguage Frankfurt for €1,540 (€1,440 course fee + €100 admin fee) to support a language course visa application.
My visa was refused by the German Embassy. I then requested a refund as per Evolanguage's own FAQ page, which at the time clearly stated: if a visa is not granted, send back the original confirmation letter and the embassy refusal, and they will refund the course fee.
I sent both original documents by courier as requested. Delivery was confirmed. Despite meeting every condition they stated, Evolanguage refused the refund.
Their reasons kept changing. First they cited a statutory provision about leisure services that has nothing to do with their own refund policy. Then they blamed the visa rejection on my application, even though their policy contained no such condition.
No Terms and Conditions (AGB) were ever provided to me at any point during registration or payment. The form I signed references AGB but no document was ever attached or sent.
After I began pursuing the refund, the FAQ page was quietly changed to remove the original unconditional refund wording. I have screenshots of the original version.
I never attended a single lesson. No service was delivered. The course never started. This matter is now being pursued through legal proceedings in Germany.

Stay away! They will not provide a decent

I signed up my girlfriend to learn German A2. She scored 96% in the preliminary test for A1 but could barely follow in first class because they were doing topics that are neither in the A1 or A2 curriculum. 2x she got sent no link or the wrong link to join the class. Nowehere online do they say what's the difference between the 4 and 5 day course. Only someone on the phone told me. Every week on Friday the teacher asks who will be there next week. As only the 5 day course has lessons on Friday and it starts bi-weekly, this lets me assume that they put new students in already ongoing courses. Maybe that also explains why the first lesson was hard to follow. I complained multiple times via phone and e-mail and only one time got a ChatGPT style email back after one week but nothing was clarified or resolved. Today I called them after the link to join the class was broken again. They eventually sent the correct link but never got back to me. They don't work with a proper book or anything at all, all course material looks random and even as a native speaker it's hard to understand the grammar sheets as they're just not well-made. I thought the 30€ course material charge would maybe include a proper schoolbook. Not worth the money at all. No follow-up on complaints.

Don’t waste your money here, this is the worst language school ever. Not worth it at all

THIS COMPANY TOOK MY MONEY 428.69E ON 4.9.25 AND SAID THEY WOULD FIND ME A TEACHER. THAY HAVE YET TO DO THIS AND WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A SCAM AND ARE CRIMINALS.

Biggest SCAM! Do not trust them. They lie to you and get you to enrol and pay and then they cannot fulfill what was written in black and white and say No refund. I paid for a visa processing fee which they did nothing at all to assist. Even the Embassy says they are a SCAM! This school should be reported to the authorities in Germany. How is it that they are still in operation is beyond me.

SCAM - AVOID.

Scam! Go somewhere else for testing! This school does not disclose the metrics for grading before the test. Unlike any other test, if you fail one section, you cannot take nor receive grades for the other tests.

I do not recommend this school. Please be aware. They do not refund your money no matter how many times you ask them without any good reasons.. they get the money out of us for not knowing how rules are in germany!!! Our poor family, I wish I listened to the reviews

This company has refused refund my money, when I got rejection for my visa application based on common grounds. Evolanguage accused me of not being cooperative with the consulate and refused the refund I stead offered me other options which I believe not appropriate. They have common terms and conditions where they ensure their selves in order not to refund money to Clients. But those clauses are void, because in all possibilities if the company does not provide the service ot should return the money. I will try to resolve this issue through my Lawyer, since I really believe that I have exclusive right what to do with my money in any case. Guys! If one of you could be able to achieve resolution through court decision could you please share it, we all can refer to it in the future. Thank you

They did not refund my money after cancelling the course and they ignore my emails ever since. They have zero integrity! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!

Edit: I asked for proof of transaction. They did not send it. My bank needs to see if they sent the refund.
