I placed the order on 14 May. On 15 May, on the tracking site, it says validation needed and email has been sent. However, no email sent until now.
1. Called their Singapore number of +65 3150-9258, it is not available. I am on the edge of thinking this is a fraud.
2. Called their HKG number +852 2405 8019, noone picked up the phone.
3. Followed up with 3 emails, no reponse.
This is very unacceptable. I wish I have read all the review before placing the order with this company.
At the time of ordering the HTC One their website showed in stock. Now two weeks later, the expected delivery date keeps moving from 4 days and now today to 8 days. This is very frustrating and misleading when you say you have an item in stock but clearly this was not the case at the time of purchase.
I will give credit in respect to other items that were order along with the phone and were delivered as expected.
Come on Expansys you have so much potential to be a great provider.
I purchased a car holder and charger for the htc one x, it was expansys own brand. Worked for a few months and then stopped charging. It took several attempts to call them and get a return number, they weren't interested and even tried telling me to return it to htc ! Despite it being their own branded item and not manufactured by htc
I eventually managed to return it sometime in February and now its May, 4 months later and still no sign of replacement or repair.
I contacted them a month ago and they said they were investigating it still. Aftersales service is the worst I have come across. The order id is included in the message heading, so when their 'caring' service team respond to this and ask for it, it should be included .
Ordered (& payed) about month ago.
Last two weeks check the order status about every day.
Countdown changes 8 times (from 1 day to 3-5, as arule), two times saw the status "In stock".
The last one status "Expected 4 Days" I see the third day.
Contact email not answered, contact phone is busy 24/7.
Week ago received email with excuses:
"As you may know, HTC have had several delays with the HTC One since March. We received stock from them 2 weeks ago, but it was not the amount we were expecting.
This meant we had to serve our customers on a first-come first-serve basis".
1. By the expansys's forum, some persons wait from february(!).
2. HTC One is present at my local market now. (As promises by local retailers - in the may's beginning)
So, I haven't money & haven't phone.
Expansys smell as fraud.
Just delaying has the good reason: money has own cost.
From every goof by 500$ for one month - not bad profit should be.
Calls AIM: "Alternative Investment Market".
Today status changed again: from 2days to 6 days. How return my money in this situation?
Same problem here, when ordered(and paid), item was "In Stock". Couple of days later: "Ordered on request", now "Discontinued". Now I am here, with no money(Paypal), phone(the ordered one) or response to my email(orderstat@expansys), and two weeks passed.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DO NOT ORDER FROM EXPANSYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AS MANY ON HERE WILL AGREE, PLACED ORDER AS CLAIMS TO IN STOCK , DERLIVERY DATE KEEPS CHANGING WHEN CHECKED ONLINE, NEVER GETS SENT AS THEY NEVER HAD IT IN STOCK , GOT REFUND AFTER THREE WEEKS .
What the heck is this? I ordered Samsung 512GB SSD 840 PRO SERIES (2.5" - SATA 6GB/S) which showed as "Item in stock" when I ordered it now when I track my shipment it says "Ordered on request"
I should've never ordered from this company I hadn't read the reviews before I did my order!
eXpansys are awful. I took part in the Samsung Trade-up offer, sent off my phone mid-February, and got a tablet. that bit was fine, but the tablet was faulty and wouldn't charge above 63%. So i sent it back to eXpansys and they said they would test it, if there was no fault it would get sent back, if there was a fault it would be replaced. weeks passed and i had heard nothing from them at all. so I phoned them, only to be told that there was no more tablets in stock, so i asked for my phone back. they told me that this could not be done, so they would contact their product manager and contact me back in 2 days, which didn't happen. so i phoned the again. they said the product manager had not replied to them, so they would try again and i would be called back in 2 days.
still no response, so i phoned them yet again. i was told that they were trying to organise for a tablet to be sent out to me. a week went by and i had heard nothing, so i called them up again. again i was told that the product manager had not responded to communications, so the person on the phone said he would contact the manager or the samsung trade-up, and i was put on hold for 5 minutes. then i was told that he was eating at the moment and would phone me back in three hours because they wanted to send my phone back to me, which previously i had been told was not an option because they no longer had the phone.
so now i am waiting to be phoned back today.
on top of all this, i have sent them over 10 emails, none have got a response, or even an acknowledgement of the email.
this is ridiculous, i just want the tablet, and they are being lazy and lying to me.
I've been waiting for a camera since 20th February. I've called three times now and each time hear something new.
The first time I was told it would be investigated and was told I'd be contacted, I waited a week. Nothing.
Second call I was told the item was being shipped, expect it in 48-72 hours.
The next week, I was told the order is still being processed.
I am still awaiting some kind of information to what is going on.
I have ordered Mobile Action i-gotU GT-820Pro GPS Bike & Travel Computer from Expansys (order reference 31R5-114C-82C2) and according to their webpage I was expecting in the box
.Mobile Action GT-820 main unit
.Heart Rate Monitor
The Item I received was without heart rate monitor and without cadence/speed sensor.
I complained prompt to Expansys about this problem and was promised a new package if I returned the old one.
However, few hours later I received an email stating that according the webpage:
. Barometric Altimeter : Yes (Pressure Sensor: BOSCH BMP180)
. Heart Rate Monitor : Sold separately
. Cadence/Speed Sensor : Sold separately
. Memory : Built-in 64MBit
. Waypoint : 200,000.
It is really unbelievable that to find this information I had to open a
hidden part of the webpage and look under technical details, while on the
main page it is stated that the everything should be in the box.
I called Expansys once again and the customer service officer told med that
“in the box” does actually not mean in the box and in this case it is out of
I was not allowed to speak with the supervisor. She was busy with a
customer, but suddenly the customer officer changed her explanation and told
me she was in a meeting.
Currently, I was promised that the manager will contact me. It is now more than two
weeks ago, but nothing has happened.
I have also written a mail to Expansys for 3 weeks ago, but did not received any answer.
I think that this approach is not professional and thus I will do my best to let
other people know it.
Never ever trust Expansys. I purchased a Buffalo mini station air, it arrived very quickly but unfortunately it was paid for on Paypal and developed a fault. Buffalo agreed on a direct replacement as they acknowledged the fault. I sent back the item to Expansys with the request from Buffalo for an immediate replacement. This won't happen, Expansys want to inspect the item and despite my and Buffalos instructions will not replace the item until they get around to it. Buffalo have told me Expansys should not be inspecting the item as it should just be replaced. I have phoned, emailed and tweeted the CEO, who has replied but still getting nowhere. They are now ignoring my emails. In future I will never pay for high value items using PayPal as if I had paid by credit card they would have helped with a refund, also Buffalo can't help as they have said I have to follow Expansys system. If anyone is interested.
eXpansys order reference 2C44-013B-D9D2
In reply to Expansys
You got sent by me a product return form that was sent to me by Buffalo, I had an acknowledgement from Expansys of this form. The form stated that a replacement should be sent out, I was even asked by Expansys who at Buffalo I dealt with and I gave the name of Miguel. I contacted Miguel again and he explained that he couldn't help me anymore and that I just had to deal with Expansys as he had done all he could. The form was sent two times once to email@example.com and once to Jodie in the UK, she at first said she would get a replacement sent out and then told me that the unit would have to be inspected. Somewhere along the way you even are not being told the truth. I have even emailed Jodie this week and still have not had a reply.
I welcome your comments now.
Well, should've read the reviews about this website before ordering from them. Now I have 3 useless products that were delivered into my hands, from them. I ordered 2 styluses and a screen protector, only to receive 2 casings and a totally different screen protector from what I have ordered. Though, the products I got were worth much more than what I had ordered, albeit useless.
I've emailed them about this fault, and they have replied in a flash, telling me to mail those products in my hand back to them for a replacement. Who knows when I may get my actual products next! So... Definitely keeping whatever I have now.
Despite other reviews, I had an excellent experience with Expansys. I ordered at 10am and my package arrived at 9am the next day. I'd checked availability with their customer support in advance and got a very quick reply. I was worried that there would be problems but can't fault them at all.
I normally don't have the time to write reviews, but on this occasion, I had to.
Before purchasing the product, I read all the negative reviews, then decided to call the sales team to tell them of my doubts at their service. The nice English girl I spoke to was polite and assured me it was temporary, due to a move of warehouse.
I ordered 2x items, first arrived no problem, but second item was a different product than what was advertised. No problem, i thought. I'll just call them to inform them that I've received the wrong product and to have them re-send the correct product......
and that was when everything went sideways. I could no longer speak to a nice polite english staff, instead I kept constantly being passed through to a spanish / italian sounding customer service staff, who was just very RUDE, very ABRUPT, never wanted to pass the phone to management and THREE times she hung up the phone on me, with the words "ok, goodbye!".
Even when I was trying to be polite from my end I could hear her huffing and puffing into the phone. If this company want to stay afloat they've got some 'rotten apples' to get rid of in their customer service department.
I paid for next day express delivery for my 2nd item - a small memoery and i didn't receive for three days. When it arrived it was wrong product. Its now two weeks and I still haven't received the replacement.
My next step is the ombudsman now, because the last thing I want to do is drive up to head office in Manchester in a fit of rage.
It is a sad fact of life that reputations take years to build yet can be wrecked over a few days.
In the past I’ve bought several items from eXpansys and never really had any issues with them. However, it would seem to be the case that I have just been very lucky and recent events have revealed the true nature of the company and it’s attitude towards customers. Last October I bought a smartphone from eXpansys, realised that I didn’t actually need it and so started the returns process the very next day and sent the item back unused and unopened. What should have been a simple process instead took over three months, with eXpansys continually behind unhelpful, uncommunicative and often just plain obstructive.
Thankfully I have finally managed to get my money back but I will most definitely not be using eXpansys again and would caution any other potential customers to seriously consider alternatives.
So i ordered a cable for my Samsung galaxy tab 2, after 3 weeks of not having revived the Item I called them to be told it was out of stock even though it wasnt advertised on the Internet which was fine. I requested to speak to a manager 9 times of which I was told there isn't one around and we will fill out a complain form of which you will receive a call back with in 24 hours. 1 week later I'm still waiting. Then I spoke to a supervisor called Maria (I recorded the conversation I had with her) she tried to be little me and was very un helpful... As an assistant manager or Butlins and being customer faced aswell as trained to a high standard I thought I'd let you guys know. They are useless and couldn't care about helping you. Once they took my money they couldn't care less.. I will upload the phone call link to here so you can get a feel around how horrific my experience was with the company. I have now given up on this matter. All it would have taken to make me happy and reassure me as a customer was a call back.... AVOID THIS COMPANY AND LOOK ELSEWHERE.
I heard from a few people that they should be a trustworthy company - Boy was I wrong to have tried them.
Wanted to order Xperia TX phone which isn't available in the U.K and so I decided to order from expansys as they had the "world wide delivery" option under the product order options.
For two weeks, the order status was still "not processed"...I sent 3 e-mails to both UK and Hong Kong customer service, but no response or whatsoever.
So I called to UK customer service who could not tell me why my order has not been processed at all, and promised she will email Hong Kong (where the product was being sent from) customer service to ask why. I waited another week and called directly to Hong Kong customer service, which nobody picks up until many attempts, and asked if they know anything, they said they did not get any emails from UK customer service but said it was probably because I was living in the UK and ordering from the Hong Kong website and told me to contact UK customer service instead, so they can change the region for me. I called UK cs service again, and it was as if they have no record of speaking to me before at all, and I had to report the issue all over again. I told them I'm giving them another few days to give me an answer or else i'll need a refund.
By the next week, I still have not heard from them. I then received an automated refund, as the order was not processed for a month, so the money bounced back by itself! They had a whole month to find out the issue but obviously none of them cared or knew what they were doing! So annoyed! I then ordered my phone on valuebasket.com and it came within a week, even though it was also posted from hong kong.
Stay away from Expansys. You'll save yourself time and effort.
Ordering Samsung HDMI Adapter for Galaxy Tab
Terrible service, have been waiting 26 days and Expansys.Com keep moving the expected delivery date.
I have sent a number of emails which they do not respond to they are a joke, I would advise you not to ordered from this company you will be waiting a long time. I have even asked if they cannot delivery within the 5 days top refund my money in full.
I ordered a micro SD card for my handicapped daughters Tablet on 3rd of Jan it is now the 19th, telephone number is always busy, The have not reponded to numerous e-mails.
Obviously run by totally incompetent idiots.
I purchased a mobile phone & seperate power supply from Expansys in early December as a Christmas present for my son. The power supply blew yesterday so I called Expansys to discuss replacement - no chance as it's outside of their 30 day window. I tried to argue that in effect the product (their own brand) had been used for less than 30 days but they weren't shifting from their 'company policy' stance. I asked what the answer would've been if it had been the phone that'd blown - same answer - it has to be within 30 days of purchase for them to consider offering replacement. Makes you wonder why???
I shan't be buying a replacement power supply from them I'll go somewhere with good cusmtoner services.
I bought a HTC one x +, but they ended up sending me 2 of them and charged me for 2 phones. I sent the phone back the 10th of december and i have yet not gotten my money refunded. Im not sure if I ever will see those money again, but this sure is not the end of it!!
Do not buy anything here. All try are trying to do is stealing your money and making it difficult for you if you get in troubles1
I'm basing this on a few purchases made over the last few years.
Generally, the prices are pretty good on Expansys, offering cheaper alternatives to expensive branded products. The delivery is actually pretty good and I have had no issues there.
I have two main things to complain about. Firstly, they send A LOT of marketing emails (an email every 1-2 days). I would prefer if they had a more intelligent system, whereby they sent me specific offers I would be interested in.
My second complaint is about the lightning to 30-pin adapter I bought - I know Trustpilot isn't generally for product reviews, but this was an Expansys branded product so I feel it is justified. The product description showed the same features as the standard Apple adapter - support for charging, sync, analog audio, usb audio, and yet the product did not work as designed with a docking station or FM transmitter.
I am still awaiting a response from Expansys on this, after which I may update this review.
I placed an order for a Lumia 920 at €732.17 including delivery and it was listed as in stock. I paid with a Maestro as it was listed as an acceptable payment method.
The following day I received an email saying its an unacceptable payment method and to contact them to proceed with the order. I did this and was advised to carry out a bank transfer, which I did, for the full amount of €732.17.
I was checking my account later on that day and noticed that the original "unacceptable" first payment had actually been debited from my account, but not even for the same amount. I had received the original receipt for the amount above, yet there was €747.77 debited, so an additional €15.60 was charged. I can understand a double charge, occasionally this happens with some transactions, but to send a receipt for an amount and to take more than that value from an account is actually criminal.
Following this I called Expansys to inform them that I needed that payment back. I got talking to the customer support and they said it would be refunded immediately. I then asked if the order itself had been processed and they informed me that the item was out of stock and not expected back for another two weeks. The site still had it listed as being in stock!
After being informed of this I requested that my order be cancelled altogether, that was enough, I have now made 13 calls to the customer support trying to get my money refunded. I still have not received anything, 7 days later I am still €1479.94 out of pocket with no sign of a refund. Every time I call its like starting from scratch, Its as if they have no record of the fiasco and need me to explain everything over and over again. I have been promised refunds every single day and still nothing. I was even told that they tried to transfer the money back but my bank account would not accept it. Ridiculous! I have contacted the bank and there is definitely nothing wrong that would prevent money from going INTO my account!
On my last call I informed them that I would be going to the Gardai about it and follow up legally if it is not refunded today. Since that call an hour ago the bank draft of €732.17 is now back in my account. I am still waiting on my additional debit of €747.77.
I will never ever use this site again, and I will happily advise everyone I know to stay away from them. Disgraceful illegal behaviour!
In short: Expansys is terrible. They lied on the shipping cost and time. They delayed my order by almost 2 weeks, and claimed it was due to technical difficulties.
At first, I ordered a Parrot AR Drone 2.0. When I ordered the drone, there was a description saying if you order it before 4:00 PM GMT ( I live in GMT+8), you can expect same day shipping. So I ordered it, on a Friday night 3:30 PM GMT. Then when I went to the tracking, it said that my order was not processed and their processing team work 6AM-7PM Mon-Fri or something. So that means that the same day shipping is just a lie. But that is only the beginning. When I paid for my drone, I paid an extra $2 shipping. But on the Monday that they were supposed to ship my order, they sent me an email saying that my order is overweight and needed an extra twenty something dollars. I decided to just go and pay the twenty dollars. Two days later, I saw that it was still awaiting the shipping payment. This is really frustrating, for normal payment should be received in minutes, not days. They then sent me an email saying that they had technical difficulties, and would ship my order ASAP. I was rather happy with that.
Then, a week later, I ordered a pair of Zik Headphones. I ordered this on a Saturday and was promised free shipping, so I again assumed that they would ship my order on Monday. But on Monday, they sent me an email saying they needed an extra $7 dollars for shipping due to the remoteness of my shipping location. This is rather weird, for this did not happen to my previous few orders. I paid the money, feeling really frustrated with Expansys. I have the feeling they're randomly charging me money for their own gain.
Ordered a Samsung Galaxy S3 as advertised 64 "In Stock". Order confirmation came through showing "In Stock". Next day checked status through link provided in email and shows stock expected in 1 day! Checked the product description and shows 64 "In Stock". Checked later and the product description is removed "No longer available" appears. Check the status the following day and stock is now expected in 62 days! Ring to cancel order, lines should open from 8am but got the "we are closed opening hours are 8 to 5" message right up until 9:15am then cancelled my order.
This is not the way to do business, grabbing orders with fake stock availability. Would never go near them again and would advise others to do the same.
Simply - NOT RECOMMENDED. I've spent thousands of pounds with Expansys over the years and always thought they were a company that I could trust. Recently, for 2 months now, I've been trying to get a faulty item replaced. At one point they insisted I go to Samsung. Samsung suspect that it's NOT AN ORIGINAL ITEM and insisted that I go back to Expansys. Expansys have not replied to any of my emails or phone calls. I've made about 12 phones calls and sent 7 emails (I was even given a 'special' email address to use). I will never use them again.
"I very rarely EVER write a negative review. I figure that things happen and life will go on so I try to focus on the positives and spread the word about the great things that companies are doing BUT NOT THIS TIME> EXPANSYS has the WORST customer service I have experienced in a LONG TIME! They took an order for an item that they stated was in stock and available. The day the item was supposed to arrive, I get a message that it is on backorder. OK, so things happen. I get it BUT why did they wait until the date it was supposed to arrive to inform me that it was not available. The worst was the interaction that continued from there. It was very obvious that they could care less the situation that they put me in. I can understand things happening but when you have to deal with blatant ignorance and indifference, it is clear that they are not serving of my business. What a shame. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! It was worth the extra $25 I paid to go purchase the item from a professional company that stands behind what they promise their customers."
Paid £1200 for a Porsche Design Blackberry on my debit card through the site and paying for next day delivery as it was needed urgently. About 10 minutes later I got an email saying the payment couldn't be accepted by card because of the large amount and to pay again by bank transfer instead, so I logged into my online banking to pay by that method to see that the money had been withdrawn already. So I rang up customer service which were OK-ish and they said it would be refunded immediately. 24 hours later, still £1200+ out of pocket, not received the phone, and been waiting 3 hours for a call back from customer services.
Very disappointing to receive this sort of service from such a large company and it has caused me a lot of problems not having the phone for what will be now at least 3 days.
**To top things off, called back at 4:05pm after not hearing back from them and a recorded message told me they were now closed but that they're opening times were 10am-5pm!!!1 so they close an hour early too.
I bought a pair of headphones which I waited 10 days and they were faulty so I complained and at first they said that I would have to send them back at my cost which I thought was ridiculous so I arranged for expansys to arrange the courier. They picked them up and when I asked for an update from them they told me the items were being sent to france to their technical team who will attempt to repair them. I thought this was ridiculous as the manufacturer is the only company which can carry out a repair and I also le3 2la this is taking forever. I told them to that there are some of these headphones in stock so please reserve one for me while you determine the issue with these headphones they said yes at first then retracted that statement when I asked for an update later but assured me that stock arrives regularly. I subsequently found out, following another week of waiting that the stock had been depleted and they are awaiting stock which could take another 9 days then. I rang them and they told me the item had shipped even though on the status update page I was viewing the item was still awaiting stock. I asked for a refund and they refused at first after which I told them I wanted to speak to a manager. They agreed after making me wait on the phone for 30 mins. I would never buy from this company as their customer service is so poor.
Short version: Expansys provides terrible customer service. They refuse to respond to emails and don't return calls, leaving customers waiting indefinitely for refunds. Expansys is by far the worst online retailer I have ever used (and I have been buying stuff off the internet for 12 years).
Long version: I ordered an HTC 8X from Expansys on Monday 5th November. Decided the day after getting it it wasn't for me and I couldn't afford to keep it. It then took me a week of trying to get them to arrange a return under DSR - they couldn't process my return over the phone ("you're just not on the system sir"), and then totally failed to call back or reply to my emails.
I returned the phone on Tuesday 13th November via recorded delivery, and heard nothing for 10 days. No acknowledgement of receipt, no refund.. zilch., despite confirmation from Royal Mail that it was delivered. I sent a moaning email, but no reply.
I finally managed to get through to them on Friday 23rd and they said that they were "moving premises from France" and had an enormous backlog of orders to get through. They said the firstname.lastname@example.org email address is wrong and no-one answers emails sent to that adddress (!) I asked them if they could confirm whether or not the return was received - they said that it was not on the system (still!) They said they couldn't process the refund over the phone and couldn't tell me when it would go through.
I rang Expansys on Wednesday 28th to chase up this sorry mess, and they said that they were still having problems (surprise surprise), that there was a massive backlog of returns (heard that one before), but that they'd "escalate" my refund and have the money back to me by today.
Obviously "escalate" to Expansys means "sit on backside scratching ****" because I have still not had my money back.
I will ring them on Monday and give them hell. It will be nearly 3 weeks since I returned the phone. The lesson here is NEVER BUY FROM EXPANSYS. EVER. And certainly never try and return anything for a refund. They are unbelievably bad.
VERY DISREPUTABLE COMPANY-TAKES YOUR MONEY & KEEPS FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, EVEN WHEN THEY CANNOT SUPPLY GOODS !
NOW FEEL THEY WRITE THEIR OWN GOOD REVIEWS TO NEGATE BAD ONES !!
First placed my order on 9/9/2012, stated 'IN STOCK' !
Several days later. tracking stated 'in warehouse, awaiting dispatch! 2 weeks later, tracking status (continually changing from 5 to 15 to 8 days etc) states 'awaiting stock'- although their website states, "Sorry, this product no longer exists^.
No response to my email & tel.customer services extremely rude & cavalier. Do most of my shopping online but will NEVER use Expansys again. Up with top worst companies ! AVOID !
'Eventually ' I got my Motorola Bluetooth Keyboard & COULD NOT BELIEVE IT WAS NOT UK LAYOUT as required but a FRENCH layout (totally different layout).
Needless to say, I subsequently wasted numerous hours/days trying to resolve & the only thing I managed to get was a massive migrane. I am now in the process of raising a dispute with my Credit Card Company/Small Claims Court - so the moral of this review, is unless you enjoy pointless confrontation or are masochist, DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY"
I used to buy from Expansys until 2007 because I have issue with their delivery estimation times.
Being a fan of Dragons Den and noticing Peter Jones is in their Board of Directors, I decided to try Expansys again by ordering a Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
When I make the order, the delivery estimation is 1 day. 3 days later they changed it to 4 days! That is from a day to a week!
Now I don't think I will ever buy from Expansys again. Avoid them!
Last April I decided to buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 for an overnight delivery. The delivery didn't happen until a day late. I complained and was refunded the copurier costs. After 10 days of very light use the tablet overheated and as a result the screen cracked. Expansys arranged for a collection. So far so good. Then came the good news that the screen was cracked and it would cost me in excess of 180 sterling to have it repaired by them, a carriage charge of 10 sterling and VAT of 38 sterling making a total of 228 pounds to get the unit repaired. The fact that it was only 10 days old and that nothing untoward had happened to it seemed a total irrelevance.
After some haggling I decided I excercise my rights and issued a claim through the court. At every step they waited until the last day before acting. They then contacted me and told how sorry they are and how they wanted to correct the situation by repairing the unit, sending it back and as a token of that regret would pay 228 pounds plus the court costs if I cancelled the case against them. I pushed them for a date. The tablet did not arrive on the date they gave, nor did their promised payment. I informed the court that I intended to continue with the case, which seemed to force them into action again and the tablet finally arrived back, scratched and dented but functioning. There was no explanation why it had overheated and why the screen had cracked.
The whole sorry saga took in excess of 3 months to sort out and Expansys did nothing at all to try and emerge from this elegantly. They lied at every opportunity, they made promises which they knew they were never going to keep and only at the point where it became clear they would have to explain to a judge why they thought consumer law did not apply to them they finally repaired and returned the tablet.
I would not recommend doing business with Expansys to anyone. Simply the worst people I have ever dealt with. Arrogant and ignorant.
Joe Lee found this review useful
I recentply placed an order for a new case for my Blackberry with Expansys. The item was in the sale and was pretty cheap so it looked like a bargain. Sadly, it was faulty so I followed the instructions on the website and emailed them, and then emailed them again, and again, then tried calling but was just put on hold. It is now more than two weeks later (and out of their normal returns period) and I have still not han any kind of response from them.
I have been a customer of Expansys for many years and have bought several products from them thinking that they were a decent and reliable company. Not anymore, I will not be placing any more orders with them.
Expansys have refused to refund my faulty monitor (the backlight flickers yellow), despite three similarly faulty replacements and almost twelvve months with no decent monitor. They say I'm not entitled, and I have to return to the manufacturer - however, conversations with the government funded consumer rights organisation Consumer Direct tell me in no uncertain terms that Expansys are wrong - which means they're either lying or incompetent. Passing the information onto Expansys just gets me the same old argument, like a broken record - not their responsibility.
Ordered from these over a week ago, still waiting for product, haven't heard anything from expansys, order tracking still says expansys are waiting for the product, even though when I ordered they had 59 in stock.
I got burnt by these over 6 years ago, thought by now they'd have improved in some sense, obviously not. NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE EXPANSYS!
Trading standards ought to be informed of this operation..
i phoned up to check stock of an item before i ordered it, it was confirmed as in stock and would be delivered next day, so i paid and guess what, nothing arrived, customer service were useless and unhelpful as a result i will never use them again and would advise everyone to go to a more reliable reputable firm.
