Trying to write a,story and want to add more stories also I like watching the stats however I can’t se the stats due the sites lagging can’t due to a type one error I tried to make a complaint about this but but the site won’t respond so took my story down so one stsr for this site

I am so done with this website, so beyond frustrated. In order to post a chapter, you have to upload a SEPERATE document every single time. You know how much storage that takes up on a device?!

Also, some chapters don't appear because they have an 'outdated' link, even though it isn't even outdated. My stuff I added to my profile doesn't even show up. Its's so annoying, and I've honestly tried to put up with this site. But I am so done, they deserve one star and more.

Your Type 1 error issue has been breaking profiles for weeks. Users have reported it. You’ve ignored it. This isn’t a minor bug, it’s basic site functionality.

Fix it.

Or at least acknowledge it.

The site is free and easy to use. The design is simple to understand. I know some people want more, but I like the website as it is. It's perfect for me to use.

Fanfiction.net is trash. It's such a tedious struggle to navigate and it will not let you paste your own work as a new chapter in a story. I hate it, and I'm done posting my work there.

I been on Fanfiction net since mid of 2000s under a lot of names. I am surprised to see this is up and running for 2 decades. You can write all things sort of fics from slice of life to adult, but it takes so long to update, adult fics are limited unless it´s an big franchise and the page is showing it´s age. Being non American in writing makes many bad reviews.

I used to love this site, but when Gina Gail Barron-Goodman, MrGoodyTwoShoes2 of Critics United, his buddy VoteDonaldJTrump2024, OmniBIBUltraInstinctGodzilla, FROGGER 2023, thought it would be a good idea to threaten, and abuse people, I've been attacked by a few of them, this site is a bloody train-wreck. Unless the admins clean up their bull and remove these horrible people from Fanfiction.net, the site will be sued and torn down for allowing child pornography on here, ourtesy of Gina Gail Barron-Goodman.

There is this person named Gina Gail Barron-Goodman who decided to go around and make inappropriate stories of little girls being sexually assaulted by their fathers, they even went to my account and spam all of my stories with one comment saying that she sells child exploitation stuff, she's a proud child predator, and she's sends her telegram or whatever it is on the comments.

She also left a nasty disrespectful review on my Super Mario crossover fanfiction telling me to slam my head on the wall until I explode and told me to unalive myself. How come Fanfiction. Net isn't doing anything about this?

Also, she spam my friend's stories and made her feel uncomfortable to come back. She refuse to come back. I hope Gina Gail Barron-Goodman gets caught and gets arrested for her inappropriate crimes. I'm done and I hope she doesn't do anymore junk.

The staff is non Existent. Email alerts have been down for a month and the staff hasn’t given us an update since March 15th.

Been on there since 2009, and in that time it went from being a decent site to a site that is in decline. I tried reporting a spam comment I received on a story advertising a suspect website for a few months now. The stats counter is broken, and has been since September. The PM feature is broken, as well as the notifications; my younger sisters have to tell me when their stories are updated. Rule-breaking are openly tolerated, and even dominate a few categories such as the Screenplays and X-Overs. Since posting to AO3 I only updated my current WIPs or stories I have earmarked for cross-posting, or reading my favourite stories.

I can't believe how mean some of the comments are for this website, so here is a list of some positives:
1. It is totally free to use... but I guess in a world where we feel entitled to everything, this is still not enough for most to grant a higher rating.
2. (don't like the look of the website?) the app is great and very intuitive for readers - you can also listen to the story and continue reading if you wish - the read aloud feature is regularly updated and if it can sometimes lag, it is nothing considering you can pick up your phone and read the paragraph that won't load before restarting the audio from the next passage
3. Support might seem distant but really, do you think the site would still be running after all these years if the people that clearly don't get paid by you were not putting their weight in?
4. mentioned it before but the sync between audio and text in the app place it above the audible/kindle pairing for me - these 2 are so expensive and clunky to use as they are separate entities - I wish I could do text to speech on the Kindle app on my phone but while I dream, FFnet is here :)

Yeah, I typed that that way in case this website profanity filter actually works. This dumb website has a few features with Anonymous reviews in the settings like Moderate Guest Reviews and Filter Profanity in the reviews section of their account settings. Both of which are on and both of which are useless. This one guy with a name I won't repeat is ruining this website because of it. The name is close to not222thename9999. This guy is constantly on here putting up Anonymous reviews with advertisements for lewd content. Since the website is going through failures this guy got brazen enough to straight post child pron advertisements in all bold. No way to report or filter it. The entire feature should be removed until you have the filter content issues corrected or at least make us moderate every comment on our content no matter the content. It looks bad on the writer to have comments like this pop up on their works. It's embarrassing and disgusting. This is one of the oldest running fanfiction websites. It should be run better than this. The status portion of the site has been down for months, sometimes we don't get any notifications of any comment or anything. It's very disappointing that this site is run so poorly and yet has been around for so long. Do better.

A lot better than A03, contrary to what people say. The community is a lot nicer I don't know if I'm lucky or not but I've had nothing but positive reactions from the community, the people there are so friendly and nice opposite of A03 where I was called rude and impolite for leaving constructive critscim because the reader couldn't take it then blocked.

The only downside and improvement they could improve on is the character selection. Unlike A03 you can't sort your fics into series (which sucks when your trying to write non one shots) or label minor characters in a fiction unless they're the main which also sucks as well. Besides that I'm happy with it, the layout the design. I've been a member for a year writing stories and I've never been happier.

I’ve been with fanfiction.net since the beginning and I’ve unfortunately had to leave. The ADs are a nightmare. Every chapter has multiple ads and an ad between chapters, and pop ups galore. It’s sad to see such a good site decline to such a sad point. I wouldn’t recommend this for kids and teens as I have gotten inappropriate ads and scam pop ups.

It is headache inducing and impossible to read the the fanfiction with 50 ads in it an every half scroll down between them. I have to read on DuckDuckGo to get uninterrupted enjoyment and reading done

I'm trying to access only old fanfiction account but can only remember my username, it used to be you could use the forgot password link and use either your email address or username, but now you can only use the email address and whatnot, which is just a pain as I completely forgot my email for a certain fanfiction account.

even when this site is still better than Deviantart, this site is ended up dying and here's the reason why:

1. it's gotten boring: when you read fanfic in any fandom there, they always have same plots: High School AU(one of worst fanfic cliche ever), Werewolf AU, Fifty Shades AU, Enemies-to-Lovers, you name it (more reason I can find fanfics that limit stuff it crossovers into just 2-3 franchises at most are way too cliche and boring for me)

2. lack of reviews: Hardly anyone review stories nowadays

3. Formatting issues: some people complains about missing quotes from fanfics that posted here

4. even when I signed-in there, the place that shows our usernames there everytime we signed-in there says login instead of whatever username of those signed-in there

5. I hardly uses forums there cuz Spambots among other reasons

6. it's dying: people that used to post in FF.net no longer active there

7. not to mention FF.net's search bar can't find anything I type there

more reason I stick with AO3 for posting my fanfics, and even then some of my fanfics that posted in AO3 are supplementary materials for my mega-crossover project

I wish I could delete my account. Customer support is not helping anymore. They're either lazy or just don't give a crap. I've sent an email about adding a new category for a movie I'm writing about a few days ago and I received no response. AO3 and Wattpad is way better.
