It was really easy to find the routes I wanted, choose one, and then make various decisions and go backwards and forwards without upsetting the process. It would have been better to know in advance/on the home page exactly what the site does and what it is for - this wasn't clear to me but I found out through experimenting.
The website does not easily allow you to find your previous booking and for me retrieve your booking and print information out. Adobe crashed when I went to print my ticket and couldn't get it - was giving my booking reference but I feel the website needs to be much more user friendly!! How do I get my booking reference and ticket now?
I was looking for options, and cost effective way to travel on ferry. And, Ferryonline service was excellent, easy to use with no hidden cost. I love it. Thanks.
Excellent - very helpful and extremely polite staff when I called to amend booking.
If the booking system were to start with the possibility of comparing different routes including times and dates and then allowing the traveler to pick by clicking on his choice. It would make the site much much much more user friendly. Istead we have to note down on a paper the different choices, The annoying thing is that all the details have to be entered each time soo waisting time and nerves. Please think seriously about this. I get the impression that the site was made about 20 years ago.
Really impressed with this site will certainly use again, very helpful chap on the phone.
Cannot fault it .
Come and stay with us for the school holidays my Daughter said, i.e. Dad I need you to baby sit! Can't sez I, hassle, pension, tablets (you know the drill). Then the bomb shell....Go Online, use the computer I bought you!! Excuses now spent, backed into a corner, I did. Checked the prices with Ferryonline, booked the ferry, me AND the car with the baby seats!! Treated myself to a CABIN!! for my afternoon nap (£20) extra, and off to Northern Ireland with Stena on an 8 hour cruise. Nap and afternoon tea later, those nice people at Stena put me ashore fully charged and ready for the fray. How was it? So good the 3rd trip is being planned for later this year......
Don't trust the waiters though. I had a 20 minute nap with a cup of coffee ready for when I woke up (like cold coffee). When I woke up they'd cleared it away even though I hadn't touched. Also the food onboard was very sparce and expensive.
I purchased two tickets for one date, had to change the date and one of the vehicles, was informed no refund whatsoever could be given for the other vehicle as we did not go like for like, I would advise anybody...DO NOT BUY tickets too far in advance
I found the site easy to use, to the point and generally an uncomplicated system for booking our crossing. Quite refreshing to find. will recommend it to fellow travelers.
I was a little unhappy about being charged 15 pounds for ammending my ticket only the day after and only to add another person and pay the difference,i think it would be better if you could do this yourself online exactly the same way as you can book it.
Problem free passage, no hassle with taking dog, put on earlier ferry as we arrived early and a good crossing.
Tickets good and cheap. I was able to pay for and print out the ticket. Two things in a matter of information. When I have previously booked a ferry place through P & O I was told to be there up to 20 minutes before departure. Only after I had bought the ticket was I told that I had to be there over 40 minutes before the departure time.
ALSO I know that you have to queue up in the correct ferry line and I STILL do not know - after printing out the ticket to show at the gate - WHICH gate to queue up at. Since I have a hospital appointment in London at 9.05 I will have to rush straight from this to Dover and need to be sure that I go to the correct queue. There did not seem to be anyway of contacting Ferryonline to ask this question
Found this ferry provider on a comparison site and they seemed to have clear pricing ans easy booking facility. Confirmation was quick and complete. A pleasure to use and will look for them in the future.

Great service, the only problem was we paid for a cabin with sea views which we got on the crossing over but on the way back the cabin was dirty and smelled musty, the window was rusty and to be honest there was four of us and two would have suited the cabin better. Other than that great time.
All the way from Australia- Very easy to book online tickets from Dover to Calais - thanks.
Finding a ferry was easy although we had no idea how to and from where to sail a half hour before.
Website was clear and easy to use.
Booking process took five minutes.
Why only prices in UK Pounds?
Why no Maestro payment possibilities from outside UK. Now I had to pay 2% on top for credit card.
The service ran smoothly from teh minute i checked in, security checks, boarding and finding my way to my seat. ALL staff were courteous and helpful, something i have NEVER encountered in any form of transport over sea by boat or plane. I cant recommend them highly enough. The only "issue" was that the food portions were a little small for my liking especially as it was so good!! And no dessert menu ??
Thanks very much for looking after me so well. I will be back !
