Worst customer support

Worst customer support. I started facing issues just one month after purchase and it has been almost 10 days now since I registered my complaint with the customer care but no one has yet either called or visited to resolve the issue.

Innovation Undone by Poor Customer Care

Helium Mobile: Innovation Undone by Poor Customer Care

I was drawn to Helium Mobile by its promise: affordable mobile service with crypto integration? Seemed like a great way to learn Android and save money. For a while, it worked. I paid $20/month for unlimited service and used the crypto-earning features with no major issues—until I requested a number change.

They sent a new SIM, and I verified ownership via code. But then the loop began: every time I contacted support, a new person picked up the thread—ignoring all prior context. Each one asked me to start the process over. This dragged on for nearly a month. No continuity. No resolution. Just the same circle of frustration.

I finally stopped paying for a service I wasn’t getting. After another month of silence, they canceled my account completely. No offer to make things right. No credit. No help. Even their in-app chat support was a facade—it always kicked me back to email.

Then—suspicious timing—they rolled out new plans: a limited-use “free” plan likely aimed at flip phone or elderly users, a mid-tier plan, and an unlimited plan for $30/month. That’s the same plan I had for $20, now repackaged at a higher price.

It’s hard not to feel like my account was allowed to lapse so they could resell the same offering for more. Whether intentional or just poorly timed, it doesn’t reflect well on them.

The idea behind Helium Mobile is smart. But execution matters. And the way they treat their customers when things go wrong? It’s not just bad—it’s dismissive.

Only Free phone plan that rewards you

Helium mobile is great the only one that has free phone plan that gives you reward. Have great customer service so far. My family has 4 lines with Helium mobile and few friends as well. you can even be part of the network and help build the network with your own connect cell tower with their hotspots.

terrible customer service JOAKIN

Their customer service is absolutely trash. I made a payment on their website trying to get service on my new device, anyways I was charged $25 “authorization hold” then noticed hey I still don’t have service contact the rep “that payment was just an authorization hold you still have to pay the monthly fee, it’ll be refunded you just gotta wait 5-7 days” like cool can I get 2-3 days of service till it clears and you rebill me since it’s an issue on your end? Nope argued with their customer rep JOAKIN for 48 hours and still without service after paying. Probably going to have to dispute with my bank to get my funds back. Don’t recommend 0/10. And I was a customer for 6+ months. Not anymore after this experience. Boost mobile offers competitive pricing and better customer service. They lost my service, nor will I be referring anyone to this carrier anymore.

Their customer service is definitely…

Their customer service is definitely outsourced into a country that doesn't give a shit about proper customer service, they think that boiler plate lingo is strong enough to not provide a refund. I basically signed up for the service but never initiated it cause I was waiting for my phone. And in the midst of waiting for my phone, they began charging me without my knowledge and kept saying that according to the terms and conditions I agreed to recurring charges and didn't let me speak with a supervisor or legal because you can only charge for a service that's being provided, you can't start the service without my knowledge and expect to charge people without consent. I consented to recurring charges after initiating the service. I never even ported my number over! They provided a bogus number and started the service without my knowledge. Still getting nowhere with customer service.

DO NOT BUY THE HOTSPOT

So far the Helium phone service is ok, but DO NOT buy their hotspot. Its not a hotspot, its a booster that supplements your existing ISP. Its a $250 joke.

Now 6 hours in and still now service.

Now 6 hours in and still now service.

They have charged my debit card 5 times

They use less than junior level developers who are so under skilled, and lacking any common sense to the point that they couldn't code a website on desktop for the adults to use.

The whatever the thing is they try to call an app which these novice dimwitts put in the apple app store is a joke. Commpletely non functional and because they lack in brain cells , this is the only option you would have had to set up anything really and they now sell you service they can not provide. They don't even have sim cards and don't bother to tell you until after you waste
hours cause they keep writing checks that their asses can't cash.

It's Amateur Hour At Clown College Here!!

I did get a really big laugh from the clowns when I read the joke that they call their Term of Service.

A completely one sided, unexpressed , vague , and purposely left in such a way that they could bend it at anytime to their will for any situation ans screw any customer in a different way at any time they chose. Loved the " we will not explain this their for you really wont have a clrar picture of anything because we will change it to our advantage as needed to screw you "In our Sole Discretion what this means at any time to ban you , steel your money , make you think you have no rights"

well it's a good thing that these clowns have jokes and this is entirely not legal or binding and unenforceable " At Least In Most States" it's a clear example of an "Unconscionable terms of service" where most courts and juries are known to go extra hard on them for writing crap like this and then trying to enforce it!!

No care for customers

The company appears not to have checked hotspot retailers well or not at all, much less the delivery deadlines and the obvious false information they give about distribution. The project is ambitious and interesting but the professionalism with which it is carried out is disappointing.
