Their Best Price Guarantee is all a big joke

Had booked a stay on their own website for at total of 264 GBP on the 5th november. Found the same room and stay cheaper on hotels.com with in the 24 hour time limit. Made the claim on their website to get the one free night because I had found the stay cheaper on hotels.com. Got an answer later the same day on the 6th that Holiday Inn had found a price that was basically the same. I wrote back asking to see what price they had found. I was then told my claim was too late. I wrote back telling them my claim was made with in the 24 hour time limit. Got an reply from a third person now saying the prices was the same. I asked to see proof and he sent me prices from the 7th november. But the lower price I found was found on the 6th november and I had proff. They say they can nor give me the free night beacuse they had found prices to be the same on the 6th november, but they can not show me any proof. Their best price guarantee is absolutely worthless.

Poor and over bearing - Slough

Went to pick up a guest who was staying at the hotel for 20 odd days, whilst waiting outside in the lobby I needed to go to the loo, asked the manager politely where the loo was and he refused to let me use it, along with 101 questions, guest, room number, what your priority club number etc

This is after having spent the last 3 years staying at their hotels every month when travelling the country.
Needless to say the guy was rude, lack compassion and empathy and had a thick foreign accent.

He was a manager give them power and it goes to their head!

Using Holiday inn in Luton and Hemel Hempstead for more than three years, both hotel got nice rooms. Sometimes get two for one deal which is good priced.

Poor.

Once my budget accommodation of choice, but during past year or so have experienced worsening quality of accommodation to the point of not trusting Holiday Inn any more.

Cambridge and Ipswich Holiday Inns were the last two we used, and both were filthy. In Ipswich, the supervisor had to clean the room before we could use it, and Cambridge gave us a free night - would have prefered a refund.

One of the better Holiday Inns we used to stay at, Hall Green, we found at our last vist was taken over by Premier Inn!
