The Best Place to Find Film or Music Info Past or Present

I always look here to find out something about someone I'm interested in. They always have the latest and fullest information about a celebrity and everything he or she has ever done. Or look up a film or TV show and find everyone that appears or has appeared in it, all the crew names, all the episode names and discriptions. It also cross-references from one show to another by any name listed. It is a fabulous site.

Always use it for film research

Every time I need to find out who is acting a a film or when the film got first realised I check IMDB! Very good database of national and international films.

My one of my most visited sites of all time that makes me cry for it's preexisting wonderful key word search function!

I have to say that IMBD is one of the top visited sites that I visit everyday.
Since it's free I can't and shouldn't complain but sometimes the search can be very bitchy!

The only thing that I regret not having anymore which was called;
"THE CROSS REFERENCE CONTEXT SEARCH" "Key Word search" or something like that..
The OLD SITE HAD IT! You would enter one or more key words and it would perform a special search to bring you titles that the plot has something to do with the words of your choice... And this was a loopy search where you could change the parameters on the go.. So you cold type; bride, horse ride, car accident, submarine, Chines man..."(you get the idea) and it would bring you all the titles that got those elements in them and add extra key words to the pot that the tiles might have in them.. So you can add and remove the key words as you conduct your search... IT WAS GREATEST & MOST USEFUL TOOL that I've ever came across to AND IT IS GONE! And that frankly makes me sad...

IMDB - The Best Movie Review Website Ever!

I absolutely love IMDB! I use it all the time for checking out the latest movie ratings and reviews. It's so widely used, that you always get a very broad user review input in rating films. If I'm ever thinking of buying or hiring out a movie, I check out the reviews on IMDB first, which helps me to decide if a particular movie is for me! Great Website!

Information Central

I love movies and I love IMDB. It's like a treasure trove of information - information central - for movies. The only problem is I can get lost in time looking up so much interesting stuff. Long may it last!

As far as user controlled movie ratings go, imdb's scores are fairly good representations, though there are still pointless - and unavoidable - rating wars.

I've also spent a good deal of time on the forums on the site, especially after watching a movie and looking for fan interpretations.

What's not to like - free and informative

Difficult to know how to compare Imdb (free and source of film/tv information) with a company trying to sell me something. There should be more demographic information about the reviewers so that one can tell if they are likely to be reflecting the content of the film/tv or simply their own parochial narrowness and lack of maturity (the agree/disagree helps somewhat in this regard). Would I pay to use the service? mmm probably not.

Good for cinema lovers but misses info

whenever I am not sure which movie to watch I go to IMDB, best reviews, plot summary, actors info, etc...
is the only website I use for that.
the only thing that lacks is to have more information for non English language movies...(I am spanish and cannot find many information about Spanish movies or actors sometimes)

I absolutely love this site due to my love of movies and it is a great place to know anything you want to know about any movie you like. Imdb.com has lots of info about movies such as release dates, average critic reviews, cast lists with pictures, memorable quotes, and plot summaries. I use this site for everything including seeing which actor/actress played a certain role, when a movie came/or will come out, what critics are saying about it to decide if I should see it or not, and figuring out what a movie is about if I thought a trailer didn't explain enough. All of this is available with a clean and easy to use site that is pleasing to the eye.
