I am not sure anybody works on the floor at Kohl's; only behind the register. The store was a mess and I had the worst time finding anything to buy. Sure the prices were cheap, when you could figure out the actual price...20% off plus 35% and don't forget to take an extra 10% off...WAY TOO MUCH MATH!!!
I was returning a shirt that my husband received for Christmas (return value $8). They did not have another of the same shirt in his size so I selected another shirt that was a name brand and much more expensive ($25). Waiting in the "customer service" line, I had everything ready to go....my return with a receipt in one hand and my new (more expensive) shirt and Kohls MVC card in the other hand. I really felt I was helping the "customer service" specialist and the people in line behind me - just by being prepared. I explained I wanted to make the return and exchange it for the new shirt, handing over my MVC card to make up for the known difference. I was told I could only return the shirt and would have to receive an in store credit then go to a check out line in the front of the store to wait again and make my purchase. Asking why, I was told because it was not an even exchange and that there was a line behind me. I explained they did not have the same shirt in the size I needed, which is why I did not have the even exchange. Since I had everything ready and it was taking the specialist longer to explain this to me and create the in-store credit card than It would have to scan the UPC code and swipe my MVC card. I have to say I was most disappointed when turning around and seeing an elderly gentleman at the end of the line. He had a return in one hand of shoes/slippers and long underwear packages to purchase in the other. I didn't wait around to see if he was treated the same way as it was very likely that he did not have an even exchange. I sure hope the "customer service" specialist made an exception to this poor policy for him. Shame on you Kohls.
I've had this happen to me 3 times in a row. The first time I ordered on black Friday, then I ordered again that following Monday to use my Kohl's cash. It wasn't until 2 weeks later until I FINALLY get an email saying both orders are being modified. I look at both of them, and now I realize I wasn't getting half of the stuff I order. It was all in stock the day I ordered and NOW they tell me 2 WEEKS later I will not receive what I ordered. I felt screwed, because all these items were Christmas gifts!
The third time I order it was I think December 28th. I thought that this couldn't happen to me 3 times in a row, plus the thing I was ordering wasn't in the store. I order it and said it was in stock when I ordered. Then I finally get it in the mail. Except it wasn't what I had ordered! I wanted ELLE Cosmetics Abstract Round Top Cosmetic Case, but got instead ELLE Cosmetics Geometric Cosmetic Case. I went to their website and no longer can I find the item. It says on my order that I should I gotten it. There was no email to inform me of this, and now I'm beyond pissed. NOW I have to drive all the way out to Kohls, waste my gas, just to return this case that I did not ask for. If you are not going to give me what I tried to get, just give me my money back instead of sending me something else!
After this experience, I don't think I can shop here ever again. If every time I order, I can't get what I order, then what is the point. I might as well try to find the item I want somewhere else.

I have been shopping at Kohl's stores for years. I like their selection and their incentives like Kohl's cash. I decided to use their online site and was just as pleased. The items arrived very quickly and the order was complete.
I did have to return a pair of pants that didn't fit my son, but the process was super easy and I had no issues whatsoever. Now that I know their online site is easy to use, understand, and order from, I will be using it again and again.
I always find things I like at Kohl's and they're always reasonably priced. It is one of my favorite stores to shop from because I know I'm getting a good deal every time. The couple of times I didn't like what I bought online once I received it, it was so easy to exchange it and I could do it in the store and not deal with shipping it back. Loved that.
I love Kohls because I have two teenage boys that seem to rip a pair of jeans and a t-shirt every week. I can just pop over to Kohls and grab a new one without breaking the budget. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They have even honored an expired coupon for me because I had missed the expiration by only a couple of days! They always take returns with a receipt for all those times when my boys haven't liked the shirt or pants I brought home for them!
Just about every year i get almost all of my Christmas shopping done with Kohls! I get great deals on every thing i buy there. Even diamond ear rings for my girlfriend last year. She loved them! I buy online and in the store. Cant go wrong with either!
I will never shop at Kohls again due to three separate incidents. First - I purchased an item on sale and with a rebate. After sending in the rebate forms I found they had not given me the proper rebate forms and they did not even carry the item for which the rebate applied. Second - I purchased numerous items at the "buy one, get one free" and when I returned home I discovered that I had been charged full price for all items. Another trip to the store to return all items. Third - they advertised a special on a vacuum cleaner. When I went to the store they did not have the vacuum in stock - nor did they even carry it on their website. I received a rain check - but even after frequent new ads - the vacuum is never in stock. I even returned once with my raincheck to get the newly advertised vacuum. After assuring me they would call when it does come in - that has never happened. A clerk at the store was quite open about stating that they often advertise big sales items in their circulars that they do not carry.
Generally great prices, especially when they have sales. My greatest complaint is that often, the size(s) I want are no longer in stock. Customer service is great and I love the fact that I can return items at any local store.
