Cheap, no messing about lens delivered and collected from your chosen place. Great communication from start to finish so you know where you stand and beat of all the lens is like new. Pass on the good word. Will use again in the near future...

Fabulous Company
I have never hired a camera lens before but they were so helpful when I rang and explained what I need the lens for.
Due to the urgency for the lens they packed and dispatched it whilst I was on the phone and sure enough it arrived the next day.
It was so easy to return the lens as well. I just rang the courier company and they arrived to collect it without any problems.
I cant thank Lenses For Hire enough for their help and speediness. I will certainly recommend them to everyone I know

Probably the best Lens Hire Company in the world
I don’t have to write this review, but if I didn’t then it would be criminal. I'd be letting everybody who wants to use this company down. So here goes - BRILLIANT!
The best experience I have ever had, from the moment I rang Lens for Hire up about which lens is best for me to the point of writing this review, everything was perfect.
I received emails about when the item was going to be dispatched
I was given a 1 hour slot for the day it was going to be delivered.
I received returns labels and even the packaging to send it back was sent.
I received plenty of instructions, not just for the lens but other useful stuff also.
They send it to you the day before your rental starts and you send it back the day after your hire agreement ends - genius!
They sent me an email once they received it back.
They sent me another email once they tested the lens to notify me that all was ok.
The whole service from start to finish was absolutely excellent and I could not recommend them enough.
Thank you Lens for Hire for such a seamless transaction.

These guys are brilliant, there's no doubt about it.
Always friendly, always prompt, always useful :)
The one time something has gone wrong (through a computer error) they did everything they could to fix it. I have nothing bad to say about them!
The only thing I would like to see is a website where I can have an account and download my own invoices rather than having to email them!

A firm that goes "more" than the extra mile
There are companies which you encounter which leave an impression and Lenses For Hire certainly did, from my first phonecall to the collection of the equipment, they have been nothing but professional, efficent and very patient.
I'm starting out in photography and they took the time to recommend the correct kit and really care about the photos I want to take, not how much money they could make.
I opted to collect the lens as they are based near me and even though I got held up by traffic and got lost they waited for me, during collection point and we then chatted for a few minutes, where the collection member of staff gave me some more tips.
Overall these guys are quick, listen and genuinely care about what you want, they are keen photographers themselves and can only help the entire photogrpahy world go further, in a place gripped by short term gain and profit, this company care about keeping a customer long term and they've added another one to their books.
NOTE FOR COLLECTION CUSTOMERS: This helps the company out and this is why I'm typing it - Bring ID and loads of it, I took eight forms of ID with me yesterday - how can you expect a lovely and trusting company like Lenses for Hire to hand over expensive pieces of camera equipment if they don't know who you are
(although this is covered on the website I feel some people may forget this small but significant detail on collection)
It's a win-win for you and them, if you do this it makes their life much easier.

Excellent service
I must say that Lenses for hire is one of the best companies I have ever had the pleasure of using. The range of lenses they offer is great, the prices are good value and the customer service is outstanding. I was thrilled to discover that the lens is actually delivered the day before your rental starts. It is delivered well packaged with very clear instructions regarding your rental and how to return it. I will definitely be using Lenses for hire again, and would highly recommend them to anyone considering using their services.

Excellent customer service
This was the first time I had used Lens for Hire and was impressed that I didn't need to provide either personal documentation or a deposit as you do with some other lens hire companies.I ordered the Canon EF 100-400mm f4.5-5.6 L IS USM Lens to try it before I bought it and it duly arrived via DPD within the hour time frame. Sending it back wasn't quite so easy. Even though the lens had been booked for a pick up on the appointed day, the courier failed to turn up. Lens for hire staff were brilliant when I told them and didn't charge me for the extra day. However, the next day nearly came and went and by now I had spent 1 1/2 days waiting for the courier. Lens for hire suggested that I took the lens to the Post office and send it back to them as a special delivery and they would reimburse me which they duly did. Can't fault the customer service or the condition of the lens I used

Excellent service well delivered
Great opportunity to use a quality lens for a one off event - took a telephoto on safari and results were amazing much better than I would have got with my normal lens. Lens was delivered when I needed it in sturdy packaging which was reused to send back. Lens was great quality with all you would need to use it. Will definitely use their service again. Thanks.

TOP CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE
I was so impressed with the customer service from Lenses For Hire. Receive the lens a day early and when the courier didn't collect for return I was pleased not to be charged as it wasn't my fault. If you have any problem big or small they will go above and beyond to help you in any way they can. Will definitely stick with this lens hire company. SO much more positive than other companies I have used.

Excellent kit, friendly and enthusiastic staff and simple to work with.
I hired a Canon 70-200mm f2.8 lens for 3 days, for a photography day at the British Wildlife Centre. I was able to pick up and return the lens in Maidenhead (living locally) removing delivery charges. The lens was in almost min condition and I took some great photos with the lens. I believe that one of their staff will be heading down to the centre as he has been wanting to photograph some badgers for a while, having seen a few of the photos I took. I will certainly be going back to the, the next time I want a lens that I don't currently have.

Refreshingly personably and communicative on line and over the phone.
This is the first time I have used a lens hire service. I looked at others but find them over complex and quite limiting.
Lenses for hire have a good website and support this with good telephone information. The guy I spoke to understood my requirements and responded with a full explanation.
The rental was excellent value and allowed 'extra time' with considerable flexibility.
'Delivery' and communication were excellent. 'Collection' only gave a 'day' with no attempt to help in terms of am or pm collection. (Not the norm these days, logistics companies are generally much more flexible and accommodating with times and communication by mail or text.
Lenses for Hire will be recommended and used again.

Says what it does on the tin!
The lens arrive as ordered and on time. I ordered the Nikon 300mm f2.8, and it was in near new condition nicely secured in a tough carry case. The online ordering system was easy enough to follow allowing several different options for delivery and pickup. All in all I was very happy with the service.

Great service worth every penny
I used Lenses For Hire Ltd for the first time and it was worth it :) Got Nikon 14-24 f.2.8 for a weekend. Great lens and as I was shooting an indoor all day festival it was perfect for the job. Great communication with the company and I'm pretty sure I will get back to them :)

Awesome. Needed a lens, they sent it to me, it worked, it was easy, the end.
I'm a hobbyist, not a pro or even a wanna be pro. Just moved to the UK, planning a vacation to Ireland, decided my newest lens wasn't going to cut it. I have a 50mm 1.8 and a 28-75 2.8 that I just got and I thought was going to be the answer to all my problems. I wanted more scenery, but also the ability to zoom in on my kiddos in case they did something cute and had a clean face. (fat chance.) So I googled, decided I wanted to get the 18-200, but didn't want to pay for it since I wasn't sure it would be that practical and I was worried about how heavy it might be. Enter lenses for hire. They didn't have the best price (sorry guys) BUT they were the ONLY website I found that actually had the lens available when I needed it. It was SO EASY to order, it got here EXACTLY when they said it would, they sent an email the day before with a one hour window (ABSOLUTELY important since I have four kids in four different schools) it came with a filter and the baggy and the end cap...I could go on and on and on. I wish I'd set up the return delivery beforehand, I'll probably do that next time. It was so easy and such a great experience, I probably wouldn't use the cheaper website next time even if it was available, because I want to deal with these guys again. In fact, I'm considering renting a full frame camera...no!! Can't!! Must stop. Anyway. Highly recommend. Will DEFINITELY use again. In June when I go to Paris :)

System seems v well designed and LFH followed it completely consistently, with good communication at all points. They did exactly what they said they would.
The LFH website augurs well, with its mixture of clear advanced information (including how to hire and likely availability in advance) with a relaxed but clear style. The actual experience of hiring corresponded completely: everything on time, even reminders re specific time points. I shall certainly use LfH again.

Fantastic
I've used this company twice now, once to hire an ultra wide-angle and just recently a fish-eye. Delivery was perfect both times, packaging was superb, and it was so easy to return. (They couldn't have made it any easier without picking it up from my front door, which I do believe is an option anyway).
Their customer services is brilliant, and they're always willing to go that extra mile to try and help. I would most definitely recommend this company to anyone that wishes to hire a lense, and I will certainly be using them again in the future.

No hassle lens hire
I need to hire professional lenses out as I build my photography business, and with Lenses for Hire it's dead simple, great customer service, lovely lenses complete with the little extras (lens bag, UV filter, hood) that help keep it safe. I'm getting a better idea of how I want to build my kit in future, but for occasional or one-off jobs I'm sure I'll keep going back even once I buy a couple more chucks of glass of my very own. What else... everything's well packaged, they send out a bag and address label to make return super-easy, and any trouble with the couriers and they're really on the ball to sort it. Great lens, great price, great service!!
I hired this lens to take to on holiday with me to capture the stunning scenery and it did not disappoint. I hired for 30 days and the price was very good. Delivery of the lens was brilliant, I had the lens to try out before my holiday so that I knew what to expect. I would definitely recommend Lenses for Hire to others and will use agin.

Excellent Service, at impossibly short notice, very professional problem handling and general management!
I found the whole experience very easy and stress free to use. Staff were more than helpful, and really did go the extra mile where other companies let me down, I would and have recommended Lenses for hire* to others and I will certainly be using them again in the future.
The lens made my Safari trip what it was, without it I would have returned with a very bleak portfolio of landscape images! saviours!

Excellent service - very satisfied customer!
I needed a wide angle lens to take pictures of the Northern Lights on a cruise along the Norwegian coastline.
I opted for a Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8 L II USM, which was available from Lenses For Hire for the duration of the trip. The booking process was easy and the lens duly arrived in good time for our cruise.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, our holiday plans changed at the last minute. However a short phone call to Lenses For Hire ensured that we could retain the lens for a few more days at a minimal cost.
I duly took excellent photos of the Northern Lights and the magnificent scenery along the Norwegian coast.
The service I received from Lenses For Hire was excellent and I would recommend them to anyone.

Outstanding service from start to finish!!
I recently hired a Sigma fisheye lens for a holiday to New York from Lenses for Hire. From initially reserving the lens to returning it after my trip, the complete service offered was amazing. I had initially asked for the lens to be delivered to my house, but due to a change in my work commitments I had to ask Lenses for Hire to send the lens to my workplace. This was not a problem for them and they quickly organised the change, and the lens was sitting on my desk when I got to work on the first day of the hire period. The lens itself was in excellent condition and I got some good shots with it. Returning the lens was also simple following the instructions provided. Would I use Lenses for Hire again? Most definitely!

This company is a perfect example of what a local business should be.
From start to finish I can only say I have been totally impressed by the professionalism of this company.
I really appreciated dealing with a real person. Questions were answered quickly and communication was superb.
I was renting a lens and tripod for a trip to northern Finland to see the Aurora Borealis. I asked questions about the best lens for the trip and was made to feel like a valued customer. The lens and tripod arrived via a reliable courier (that gave a time slot :-)) and was packaged well.
I was particularly impressed with little touches such as providing packaging bags and labels for return. Also that the hire period did not include delivery days.
The equipment was in perfect condition. Upon it's return the items are inspected. Lenses for hire got in contact with me about a potential problem but again all communication was entirely professional, no blame culture, just an enquiry. As it turned out it wasn't a problem at all and all was fine. They let me know that as soon as possible.
I felt the prices were very reasonable for an amateur like myself to rent a lens and tripod I just wouldn't have the need to buy. The concept is great, the execution of the business is better.
So all in all a fantastic experience. Will I use them again...definitely. Would I recommend them, absolutely!

Hiring lenses - a great idea, and a great company
Having already hired from them for a recent safari trip I rang them to ask for advise on lense for a birds of prey workshop I was attending. Their recommended solution enhanced my enjoyment on the day as the lense was so good. This is a great way to try different lenses before buying, or just to hire for one off special holidays or events without spending thousands of pounds! Friendly and knowledgeable staff in a very professional set up.
