Cost to much

This site has the right idea, but they need to figure out how to make it cheaper. Normal people and small companys cannot afford use the best options the site has

Linkedin has the best social media site for doing business.

I feel Linkedin has the BEST social media platform for doing business.

This is a place where business decision makers are doing business with other business professionals.

If you are a solution oriented business person you need to get on Linkedin and join some groups and grow your business.

Don't give them your email address or you will regret it

I once logged into the system to look around and have since been bombarded by junk mail from people I don't know wanting to be my friend !! It took ages to get my profile removed (customer services were quite helpful in the end so they get the star).

brilliant company with insightful and innovative ideas on how to better support our businesses, companies, connections, recruitment and manage to make money out of tackling the needs of the market and thus probably helping to bring us out a recession. Can Facebook say that? no, because most people on facebook are avoiding work...

This outfit put me in touch with a stream of people most of whom I either know already or have no wish to get to know. The bulk of the latter apparently comprises self-regarding "professionals" with hilariously grandiose - and opaque - job descriptions that I simply don't understand. Worst of all, although I've unsubscribed, LinkedIn continues to pester me with unwanted emails. I can't stop them doing this as, having unsubscribed, I can no longer contact them in order to tell them leave me alone. Don't join. It's like the Foreign Legion. They'll never let you leave!

More of an Executive site

I have been a member for a few years but have gotten nothing from it, also a few contacts of mine have dropped it, so I probably will also.

Absolutely abysmal company....if it can even be called a company.

I have tried to delete my account but Linkedin never respond and I just keep getting their crap emails.

Go away Linkedin and do something useful.

Difficult to navigate and atrocious security

I have cancelled my account, 6.5 million users at risk and no word from them on mitigation attempts or if I am one of them.

A lot of spam!

But I use it as a company owner to keep my contacts close.

I appreciate that the site is a good idea professionally however. it is horribly clunky and dull.

I recommend this company due to tons of information that is available for your job field and being able to find answers through networking as well as career opportunities.

Don't entirely understand it...

I sue Facebook and LinkedIn since quite some time now...However, LinkedIn seems to improve their website only every few months/years. Whereas Facebook is constantly changing things. On the one hand I prefer some slower changes, but I still want to see changes to LinkedIn.

Used to think this was a useful site... no longer convinced

I have become more and more cynical of people who seem to think the only way to get on in life is to promote yourself through LinkedIn.

I am sure these people are on commission or something (or spend most of their professional life on LinkedIn and most of their personal time on Facebook!)

Linkedin has been very useful indeed in setting up and meeting potential new and like minded business people. I like the fact it is for professional people only and not a chat based site.

This site has brought me back in touch with so many contacts and opened up new opportunities as well as rekindling long lost friendships. As I start a new venture after 30 years in one industry, hopefully my network will expand and help make sure it all goes well.

I get so many emails from them. It's non-stop. The service isn't worth the number of useless emails I get.

I am a user of Linkdin.com. In this website ,i have many new friends.It's useful for my business.

misleading

Spent ages enrolling then found that I could not access information I wanted on a company unless I paid for it. Should have told me BEFORE enrolling that this was premium content, and I wouldn't have wasted my time.

It's complicated, pushy and I really don't see the point!

Billed as 'Facebook for business', the whole LinkedIn experience is painful, confusing and annoying. I have tried to un-Linked-myself, but somehow just can't, so keep getting constant requests from people I don't now, don't want to know and am very unlikely to ever do any business with.

If you want some good networking contacts, get up, get out and go and speak to real people, not strange pushy wannabe's living hundreds of miles away!
