All 5 star ratings are fake

All 5 star ratings are fake, they doing scam, most of the items are damage, well used, smelly. False Description. On the top of that they never revert your emails & calls. I recommend not to bid with that irresponsible auctioneer. Never ever bid on those auctioneer Mad Bids Brampton and Mad Bids Vaughan. Scam, false information, missing items, lack of communication even they deduct amount from your card without letting you know with no reason. When you ask for reason they tell you unacceptable and illogical reason. Not trust worthy.

Hello,

This review is not objective, as Madbid.com has not been an auction site for almost four years. It is now a marketplace for buying and selling digital assets, including channels, accounts, and groups.

If you had actually used our platform, you would know this and would also be aware of the honesty, transparency, and security of the transactions conducted through our marketplace.

Is there minus stars

Is there minus stars? The worst auction house. I won the bid and they would not release my bid. Only admit their mistakes.

Hello, the website madbid.com has not been operating in an auction format for about 4 years now; it is now a digital asset marketplace. Your review most likely refers to the old version of the website and does not reflect a current user experience, because if it did, you would know that there is no deception whatsoever - all sales transactions are conducted honestly and transparently.

What customer UNfriendly page. Even registration doesn't work. And why the hell am I forced to have or share a TG account. E-Mail should be enough. I just wanted to buy a thing an was stuck in the registration loop.

Great!

An excellent platform for trading digital assets, different accounts and channels, different prices and quality, safe and fast! If you new to this, be sure to read the security and trading rules on the platform right away to avoid misunderstandings in the future.

Im confident that this site will soon become even bigger and better, the idea itself is very interesting and modern and as an arbitrage trader, this site has helped me several times)) enjoy!!!

A total con

A total con. One way to lose lots of money and have little chance of winning a bid. Stick to eBay.

Why so many negative reviews?

Yes there some valid points to these negative reviews but overall i would say Madbid was an excellent and fun website as it allowed you the thrill of bidding on expesnive items even cars and possilby winning!

I actually won something and got it after Postage and packaging for dirt cheap which i still use today and it was fantastic!

It was a relatively cheap bidding site as you could easily win free bids to boost your amount of bids...

Overall i found it fun and exciting despite only winning once i still think it was a great idea and it's a real shame it's not around any more as i would still be using it!

Some people had spent lots of money buying bids either never winning or winning items valued less then they spent on bids but i was careful and only used free bids which i were easy to win on the site. Overall i think i may have won my one item for less than i spent but i cannot be sure.

Beware the addictive nature of such Sites.

This started well but ended up looking like a scam selling mainly Bid Packages and vastly increased its minimum Bidding costs. Many Items seemed to sell for reasonable prices but the amount collected in Bids sales must have been phenominal. It ought to have been investigated by the Gambling Commission due to its highly addictive nature. Beware similar Sites - they just seek to hook you with some initial attractive Offers. How the Owners could sleep at night astonishes me.

Madbid and other "bidding" websites are…

Madbid and other "bidding" websites are very shadowy companies. I remember once I used to bid on other website than Madbid but I was really curious about how it works, was there ever been an investigation if those companies do not use "programmed bots to outbid the real bidder"? I once lost £800 stayed all night to bid few things and never been able to obtain any of the item I was bidding on, that is when I began to think hey how hard it is to create a BOT that keeps outbidding a real bidder, just then they got smarter and actually allowed people to use automatic bidding, would not they be able to do it exactly the same with AI/Bot bidding? I guess until there would be no thorough investigation, nobody would ever find out! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS or any other websites! You are more likely to win a lottery than win anything on those websites!

End of Madbid

On the 27th June 2018, all auctions were suddenly closed and on 29th June members of the site were informed that Madbid had entered administration and that anyone who had money or credits were now classed as an unsecured creditor. Cork Gully LLP have been appointed joint administrators.

Stole my money

I bought some credits and placed a few bids before deciding wait a while before bidding on the same item again. To my horror all my remaining credits had vanished the next day.On complaining to customer service I was told that my credits were used up by automatic bidding. I explained that I certainly did not activate automatic bidding as this was something I would never consider. After several more complaints I never got any further, just receiving the same unapologetic replies reiterating almost rudely that it was my fault that all my money had disappeared. Watch out everybody.

RIP OFFS!

RIP OFFS!
Each bidding cost you expensively which might make you pay even higher than product's retail price AND don't forget, you could lose all your PURCHASED BIDS without getting your bidded items too!

Real steal

As they say:
"When you bid, you spend credits from the credit package you purchase. Once the credit package has been partially or fully spent, they become non refundable."
So you could easily spend your money not buying anything.
Please do not use "Auto Top Up feature" since it will sqeeze your PayPal account in a matter of day.

One of the biggest money making scams in existence, Once the item reaches maximum price which means that they already made their profit on that particular item they keep on accepting endless bids, eating up your credits and that is how they make their money. I am very sure that that their good reviews is done by the actual company themselves. Save yourself the misery these people will inflict on you eventually.SCAMMERS OF NOTE, STAY AWAY !!!!!

Incompetent customer services

I used MadBid a while ago and found the site to be pretty much what I expected. I didn't win anything and haven't gone back since.

That is until I started using a password manager and began updating all the sites I use to have unique passwords. A bug on MidBid's site wouldn't allow me to do this, so I contacted customer services by e-mail.

This is where everything went wrong. I reported the problem. After about 5 days (albeit over the bank holiday weekend) I got a reply asking for more details. Another 5 days later I got a stock reply about clearing cookies, or using a different browser.

Unsurprisingly this did not help. I develop websites so can usually tell the difference between user error and system error.

After confirming this, and another 9 day wait the operator was suddenly discussing user registration (not password changes). Clearly the customer service advisors don't know what they are doing, nor does the company prioritise customer service at all - otherwise they would be better resourced.

As such I do not recommend using MadBid and will be deleting my account.
