THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY IVE "EVER"…
THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY IVE "EVER" DELT WITH!!!!!
If I could give them a minus rating I would. I contacted them 4 times in one year regarding subscriptions to the 3 cooking mag's I purchased for myself and my mother. I told them we never received them. They replied that it takes "time" (this had been 5 mos already) and they would extend the subscription a few months. I got the same answer 3 more times. I'm at the renewal, I cancelled...stay tuned, we'll see if I get charged now. : z
STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!!!
STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!!!!
I made a BIG MISTAKE with this company.
It is impossible to stop subscriptions ( I foolishly signed up for 5). You can't talk to a person, only a robot who is not helpful.

Magazine paid for but later issues not delivered.
Wrote to the company and got no response.
Called a month later. Horrible customer service. Was told I needed to call somewhere else. I was given a phone #. It was out of service.
And dealing with the AI before you get to speak to anyone - it's lucky I don't have a gun.
Follow up - spoke with a supervisor. He said subscription was suspended. (Why?) But he said he straightened out the problem. Will wait and see. The supervisor was reasonable.
Don't do it!
Don't do it!! Your subscription will be very difficult to cancel. When canceling you will be given the run around in the hopes you will give up, don't give in!
Non-inclusive
I went looking for an LGBTQ+ focused magazine and thought I would find at least one if not many titles.... not a single offering for a subscription. Just a single token issue from Entertainment Weekly dated 2017. It is currently 2026. How disappointing.
Order in January, renew in June?????
I ordered 5 magazines during a promotional for 1 year on January 26, 2026 costing $37.00. I have received 2 sets of magazines. It is only 6 months since my order and I keep getting emails for automatic renewals with each magazine at their regular price of $37. roughly. Customer Service is totally living in another reality. They keep telling me that my subscription is complete. They are totally unhelpful to the point of being rude. They couldn't or wouldn't even listen to my attempt at an explanation of the situation. They just kept repeating "...blah, blah, blah, renewal". I just cancelled all orders totally. Most miserable experience with customer service and their service of delivering magazines. I do not recommend this company at all regardless how inexpensive their subscription offers are. It's a sham.
I feel this is a scam site
I feel this is a scam site. They charged me. Sent me no receipt but did welcome me. Then I went into my account to access customer service they claimed my account didn't exist.
Now I'm in a charge dispute with them.
I would advise that no one do business with this company.
Avoid Magazines.com
I highly suggest that nobody ever subscribe to any magazine through magazines.com because you will never be able to get in contact with customer support to cancel, to get account access, or for any other issue. The number provided to call (800-624-2946) only initiates automated text messages for support and never puts you in contact with a live person, ever. This company acts absolutely fraudulent.
ZERO CUSTOMER SUPPORTS!!!!!!!!
ZERO!!!!!!!!! Customer support and a horrible website. I got a magazine subscription as a gift for a friend. They didn’t receive it and I have no order history or activate subscriptions under my account on their website. I’ve emailed call and texted with them multiple times but you can only communicate with an automated system no real person. The automated system keeps saying it can’t find my account. The only thing left I can do now is filed the purchase as fraud and see if my bank will refund me my money. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!!!!!!
After my credit card was hacked, obtained the new card without contacting me
After my credit card was hacked, it was re-issued with a different number. Magazines.com somehow acquired the new number without contacting me. I did not realize they were autorenewing a subscription to RealSimple magazine, much less with the new credit card number. They appear to operate out of Iowa, but that seems to be a shell operation. All interactions from the website are "AI" and an utterly useless waste of time. The only way to reach a human being was to call the number from the credit card transaction. The call center for that clearly is off-shored. Even with human interaction, I was charged for a future issue not yet received and refunded only the remainder of the subscription. Magazines.com is ruining the reputations of otherwise possibly legitimate magazines.
Auto renewal despite customer no longer at that address.
I had ordered 2 subscriptions for a friend. They were fine until my friend moved. Magazines.com kept renewing the subscription even though they were undeliverable.
When I contacted them, the subscriptions were cancelled, but no refund or credit was issued. I inquired about this, but did not get a response.
Auto renewal has gotten to be a scam and a moneymaker for this company.
Would give a zero if I could
Update- 3/28/26:after posting here, I finally received an email response that the magazine would be arriving and that processing sometimes takes a while-a week or so after receiving that email, a first issue of my subscription finally arrived.
***
Would give a zero if I could! No issues of my subscription have arrived and even though I’ve sent multiple requests for subscription fulfillment or refund of subscription price, I’ve heard nothing! Canceling my credit card info, but am concerned it will continue to be charged. Do NOT subscribe with them! They are not responsive and as far as my experience has been, they operate like a scam.
Fraudulent
No magazines, you'll have to report charges as fraud to get your money back.
Never received magazine despite…
Never received magazine despite numerous follow up with company . I asked for a refund; hopefully I will see it. Would not recommend
Shady….Beware
Shady….Beware! Never signed up for auto renewal but was charged anyway, I had to call numerous times to get refunded. Go directly to the actual magazine to subscribe.
Bait and Switch
Even though I was assured that I would receive notification before People magazine was renewed, that did NOT happen. I checked my emails and no such notification came through. I suspect this is their racket. Get you in for a cheap price and then sock it to you with a renewal you DID NOT expect. The cancellation process is a nightmare of pushing buttons and speaking into the phone. Of course, when you finally get a human being she is speaking to you from some call center in India. She said that she cancelled the subscription and issued a refund. Fingers crossed this is the case!
Absolutely a terrible company to deal…
Absolutely a terrible company to deal with.
Rude customer service.
They talk to you like they're they're doing you a favor.
Don't waste your time or money. If you go to their site. Of course they have great reviews.
But if you check anywhere else, they're just a third party and every time something wrong happens it's just an excuse.
I waited 8 weeks for nothing and then they charged me. I asked why wasn't I refunded in full? They said it was the time they spent on the phone.
Slow tech
Slow tech. Borderline fraud. Payment took days to process. Cancellation difficult.
Deceptive business practices
I made the HUGE mistake of ordering before checking here to see if it is a scam site.
Strictly speaking, not a true scam but they say on their website that "you can cancel anytime and be refunded for the issues not received."
They also sent NO email to verify purchase. The only record I have is Paypal, where they took the $ under another biz name Meredith Operation Corporation.
Ppl here are 100% right that you cant get through to a customer service agent and they make it VERY VERY hard to cancel orders/subscriptions.
