Consistent Quality

I can highly recommend Marriott.

I have been using Marriott for 7 years now in the UK, Europe and the USA.

The thing that you can be assured of is the consistent quality of the rooms whatever country you visit. Staff are always helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble whatever the time of day.

They also have an excellent points based rewards system which has given us lots of free stays in some lovely hotels.

Great Hotel, Great Weekend

I stayed at the Rome Marriott Grand Hotel Flora and had a amazing extended weekend. It was my first visit to Rome and I thoroughly appreciated the hotels excellent centralised location. The rooms were spacious and nicely furnished and the staff very helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Outstanding!

I stayed at the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel in London. Wow! Situated in an iconic building in an iconic city the hotel experience had a lot to live up to. But live up to it did! Great experience, modern rooms twixed with a traditional English setting. Attentive yet not over-bearing staff. Great choices of food and beverage with a nod to its English location and heritage. Found the 'Navigator' staff to be particularly helpful with the planning of my sightseeing adventures.

Would unreservedly recommend.

Excellent hotel

I stayed at the JW Marriott Bangkok on holiday and I had a really good stay. The staff were attentive and the hotel was amazing. I would definitely go back.

Consistently quality hotels.

I have never had a bad experience at a Marriott. I've always found them clean and comfortable and have had no issues with staff. Between the many locations and the special rates for NASO members, it always makes sense for me to book with Marriott.

They Always Deliver a Great Stay

I've stayed at various Marriott hotels over the years and always know that I will be happy with any reservation at any of their brands. They have locations everywhere and can compete with the top luxury hotels in large cities as well as the prices of smaller local chains.

Terrible Service, Tripple Charged

I was trippled charged for my stay and was repeatedly told that it was my bank's error. I pleaded to speak with a manager and was refused and had someone tell me they were a manager when in fact they were not. When they finally admitted to overcharging me, nothing was done to correct the issue and they insinuated that they did me a courtesy by not charging me an additional $20 for incidentals. When I asked when a manager would be available they said they did not know and that a General Manager would not be available for several days. The issue is still not resolved. I have stayed in the past with OK service. This is terrible and irresponsible and Marriott should be a more responsible company. Poor service. Ignorant staff. Will never spent money or patronage this business again. I am an avid traveller and will share my experience to keep it from happening to others.

Shameful!

I stayed at the Marriott in Hollywood, CA, along with a few of my clients. We requested to have 5 boxes moved from the guest check in area to one of the rooms and was charged at fee of $100.00. (Which they were moved on a cart, in one trip.) Completely shameful! I can understand a charge, but $100.00? We were not even made aware of this charge in advance. When questioning the charge on my card- here is the reply I was given by management.

A request was sent to my controller disputing a $100 shipping charge on XXXXX folio. However, that request has been denied. The shipping charge is not for actual shipping services from ups. The shipping for $100.00 on 01/13 is a delivery fee from Hotel shipping center to guest's room: 5 oversized boxes over 100 lb. each at $20 delivery fee = $100. Therefore, the charge is correct and will remain on the folio. I do apologize about the inconvenience and you have a pleasant day.

Elegant experience

I stayed at the Renaissance Dupont Circle Hotel in Washington DC recently for business and thought the accommodations were outstanding. Had a great meal in the dinning area and the staff was very helpful and professional. Highly recommend for anyone traveling to the DC area.

Marriot at Worsley Park Manchester is excellent. The service, food, rooms, leisure facilities, everything, and great value too.

oh dear!

Stayed on business June 2011 at Manchester Airport Hotel (which is several miles from the airport!). Arrived and no power in room. Power then fixed but air conditioning blows out very hot air. Worse still, turn it off and 10 mins turns back on again and blows hot air. Spoke to front desk who promised to fix or povide a fan - 24 hours later - nothing. Raised again and they promised to fix, but in meantime send a fan. Fan was circa 1950, squealed like a stuck pig when on and moved less air than a single winged moth in a vacuum. Reataurant, bar and waiting staff all excellent - front desk experience was frankly disgusting. And they wanted me to pay for parking! FAIL!
