im seeing how everybody has the same scenario, they leave parcels on "secure porch" whether there is a secure place or not, same happened to me. They company i ordered from dont seem to realise theyre making a mistake with these guys 4th worst rated out of 196 companys??? come on, kinda obvious
Collection due Wednesday - stayed in for it. Nothing!!
Stayed in most of today too - Nothing
Phoned them. We will definitely collect tomorrow, will there be someone in?? NO!!
Sorry, it was the courier who took the job and they can't collect till Friday - so why accept the collection for Wednesday?? Sorry, We will definitely collect tomorrow, will there be someone in?? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cancel the job and I will send it elsewhere - okay, it will take 3-5 days to get a refund........WHY?? You took the money instantly. Sorry......
Useless shower!!!!!
Waiting over the stated 2 days for an email reply. Delivery card says parcel left under recycling box, but nothing was found there when I looked. yet the tracking on the website says it was left with a neighbour, on the previous day! I don't think so!
Parcel apparently left with no signature or note, nobody home so they note its left on porch.. Order has gone missing. What a surprise.

All I can say is not bad for the price. I would say if people want better be prepared to pay more??? Simple
everybody was in home just nobody in living room and their even heaven t tray to pres a door bell their just trow over the fence where is a dog there is and warning plate. and they still did it and this was second time . And dog just played again and was not much left from parcel.
My order isnt here 2 weeks after I've ordered it. Went onto their website to track it and no update. I thought (like most companies) they would update me if i tweeted them......looked on their twitter profile and it turns out they're just plain rude, unproffessional idiots. NEVER will I ever order through a company who uses Hermes, especially with levels of "customer service" like this.
Booked a courier for Wednesday 15th May, courier arrived early next day to collect parcels and by Monday 20th May it arrived all intact and perfect! Will use again!
Have had experiences of this company twice in the last few weeks. Placed order from Zavvi who I have ordered from many times in the past. According to the Hermes website they had tried to deliver my package on numerous occasions even though on at least two of the days someone was in all day! Never once had I had a card through my door so this was a blatant lie. Eventually website said my order had been carded 3 times when I hadn't had a single one...and then returned to sender. There's no way of contacting Hermes direct...all you get is a recorded message saying you have to contact the retailer.
A few days ago I placed an order on Music Magpie and was told my package would be collected by them free of charge the next day. No-one turned up even though someone was in all day and when contacting Music Magpie I was told the courier had been contacted and they would investigate the matter. Surprise, surprise...the courier they were using was Hermes !
It is surprising the number of retailers that use these jokers.....they are going to lose a lot of companies a lot of business. If you can avoid them, avoid them at all costs....like many people have said on here if I could leave zero stars I would !
I don't suppose Hermes actually read any of these comments anyway, like some retailers do, so I don't expect a reply or an explanation of why they are so crap !

I have two hermes "sorry I missed you" cards because parcel needs a signature, only with a name and mobile number, no date of planned redelivery. I get no answer on this number, theres no answerphone, and no reply to texts. So if I cant re-arrange for a day when Im actually in, and theres no depot to collect from, how am I supposed to receive the parcel?
Useless company.
I AM A SERIOUS INTERNET SHOPPER. I HAVE BOUGHT ROUGHLY OVER 1,000 ITEMS OVER THE PAST FOUR YEARS.IN THAT TIME I HAVE
HAD ONLY ONE PACKAGE LOST BY ROYAL MAIL.I HAVE BOUGHT 4 SEPERATE ITEMS BY FOUR DIFFERENT SELLERS WHO USE MY HERMES.FOUR WEEKS LATER AND ONLY ONE ITEM HAS MADE IT.ONE OTHER ITEM GOT HERE WELL THE RIPPED OPEN EMPTY BOX DID AND MY SIGNATURE WAS CLEARLY FAKED!
ONLY THE LOW COST ITEM MADE IT.ALL OF THESE FOUR PACKAGES WERE BIRTHDAY PRESENTS FOR A LITTLE CHILD.HOW LOW CAN PEOPLE GO.NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE A SELLER WHO USES THIS COMPANY.
myHermes simply can't collect or deliver parcels. This is why they're ranked at position 33 out of the 35 parcel companies on here, rightly so.
If you do as I did - ignore the online reviews and use them anyway - when it goes wrong, expect customer service to be rude, dismissive and give you cocky answers. They will ignore your problem until you go away.
You can find their CEO's email address on LinkedIn. But you won't get results from her either - she ignores everything too.
I'm a business who sell online. I've been using myhermes for 3 weeks to deliver my parcels what customers order. For the last week 3 Brand new item as arrived damaged cause of the myhermes. Every item was WELL PACKAGED. But still ended up damaged. To me i'm going to loss business and earning cause of it. I am unhappy with the myhermes service now. I might take legal action against them and inform trading standards.
I am writing as a customer on the recieving end of there terrible service.. I bought an item from a well known auction site.. The seller uses my hermes for delivery.. When i buy anything again if they use this courier servicei will not purchase the item .... I was sat in my house waiting for delivery when i heard the letterbox go. I picked up the parcel from the doormat and realised it was empty and the parcel was open at this i noticed the delivery driver quickly drive off before i had chance to flag him down so i contacted the myhermes direct who told me i had just signed for the parcel.. I could not believe what i was hearing.. I stated that i had not signed for anything and would like to see this signature.. Which they did,, it was just a roughly squiggled s.. So people be warned if the delivery driver takes a fancy to your item or it gets lost they just fake a signature.. I have reported this and all relevant evidance to trading standards..... DO NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH COMPANY.....
I've recently started selling some bits and bobs on eBay, One particular item was too big to send via collect+, so I arranged for Hermes to pick it up. I did stipulate that I wouldn't be able to stay in ALL day as I have school runs. I arranged for my parcel to be collected on Tuesday 23rd April, I get back from the school run to find a Hermes card in my door, all it said was "tried to collect but no parcel left" - I cannot leave parcels outside, my front door is on the street front! They'd left no contact details to rearrange, so I contacted Hermes and was told that this would be treated with the utmost urgency, waited a day, nothing. Emailed them again on 24th, nothing, got an email this morning from them (25th), saying that they're sorry, but I'm going to have to take this up with the person I ordered my goods from (WTF, it's MY goods they're COLLECTING!!!). I couldn't refrain from sending a rather abrupt email back to them, stating that if they don't rearrange TODAY I'm never using them again and cancelling my order. Bloody useless, customer sevice is shockingly dire AND I'm probably going to incur negative feedback on eBay for this whole fiasco :-(
AVOID at all costs!!!
Sent a biscuit barrel packed it like it was the crown jewels guess what arrived smashed mail companies where on tv last week and what a state our mailing service's are, they are a joke if a decent mail company set up they would make a fortune. dreadful service should be called herpes we would all keep away from them then do not use these people.
I have used My Hermes for collecting and delivering to my customers, a small business, items are electronics, not easily breakable with the packaging. However not only does Hermes not pick up on the day requested, they pick up whenever they like, when it suits them, with excuses all the time. 5 times I've had this. Never been compensated for having to stay at a place all day waiting for collection! Even at managerial level it's a complete JOKE!!
Now when they do eventually deliver (often making my customers wait up to 14days), tarnishing my reputation, the items somehow were either, smashed or opened.
Anyways, I have been a customer from firms using my hermes as a delivery, YES you guessed it!!! They also deliver whenever they like! They make you wait however long is suitable for them! AND when it does arrive DAMAGED or OPENED!
NEVER ever will I use them! Sadly they have become popular with online retailers! I really think they ought to be investigated!

i purchased an item on ebay as a suprise game for my daughters birthday party..the item was sent with plenty of time to spare...on the thursday b4 her party i was having a shave when the doorbell rang..by the time i got there i found a myhermes calling card saying they had tried to deliver but got no reply and they would redeliver the next day...lol there is a box on the card where a phone number goes to contact them...this was blank and no other contact details were printed on the card....i waitedall friday morning....no myhermes...about 12.30 my normal post arrived and on the doorstep i found another myhermes card stating parcel with neighbour...at my neighbours i was given a package much bigger than expected and i assumed it was from hozelock as i had ordered some pond filter sponges..this package was bigger than expected and i assumed it was packaging...i opened it...not what i was expecting so i checked the postage label and it was actually for my wife. WHERE WAS MY PARCEL THAT I WAS WAITING FOR..SURELY THEY WOULD HAVE COME TOGETHER...NO...WE R TALKING OF MYHERMES HERE..surely they should have delivered both items at the samd time...i emailed myhermes pointing out that the package is no longer needed as my daughters party was over and done with and i. had wasted my money on the game and also the postage cost..i got no reply to my email at all even though its supposed to be a 2 day answering service ...not 2 working days...MYHERMES ARE JOKERS AND IM SURE THEY WILL END UP ON WATCHDOG VERY SOON...IF U DONT REALLY WANT YOUR PARCELS THEN MAKE SURE THE SENDER USES THESE IDIOTS..IF U WANT YOUD PARCEL THEN USE SOMEONE ELSE...A PIDGEON WOULD BE MUCH MORE RELIABLE THAN MYHERMES..THEY ARE USELESS AND IF I HAD MY WAY THE STAR RATING WOULD BE MINUS 5 STARS..NOT 1 STAR.
Four times I've had someone send a parcel through myHermes and each time was a dreadful experience. I now refuse to buy anything from eBay or anywhere else if they use this company as the postal service. I'd rather pay the extra couple of quid and have a PROFESSIONAL COMPANY to deal with..... Vile & disgusting company, full of liars, blaggers and disrespectful people.....
If they damage your items which they do they make getting compensation nearly impossible since they don't allow claims for nearly every material items can be made from.
DO NOT USE
recieved a battered box after being chucked in garden,
someone else's very expensive contents. glad i didnt pay £200 for item from JML and they only lost a pair of £20 trousers.
prats
We received a delivery from MyHermes, my husband heard a knock at the door and got up to answer it, before he reached the living room door there was a pounding at the door and as he headed down the stairs there was a 3rd hammering. As he opened the door the delivery agent was already talking to our elderly neighbour, asking if she would take the parcel. The agent must have knocked her door at the same time as ours as it takes the elderly lady a while to shuffle to her door, it only took my husband less than 30 seconds to answer, he was furious not only that she'd knocked, no, banged, 3 times but that she had disturbed our neighbour for no good reason. Her excuse was that she had to get a move on. As we'd been expecting the delivery the previous day I quite believe that she was behind schedule but her behaviour was entirely inappropriate. My husband used to work nights, that amount of knocking would have woken him but obviously there'd have been no-one there by the time he got to the door and would have been infuriating. I'm deeply disappointed by her behaviour and would certainly never use this company myself.
I HAVE SENT 4 BOXES OF ITEMS, REALLY WELL PACKAGED, I SPENT £10 ON PACKAGING ALONE AND ALL 4 BOXES ARRIVED BATTERED, TORN, RIPPED AND CONTENTS BROKEN. HOW BLOODY DARE THEY TREAT MY STUFF WITH SUCH CONTEMPT AND FORWARD IT ON WITHOUT EXPLAINATION OR APPOLOGY.
NEEDLESS TO SAY, myHERMES HAVEN'T REPLIED TO MY COMPLAINTS
IF YOU WANT YOUR ITEMS TO BE SAFE LOOK ELSEWHERE AS THERE ARE SO MANY ITEMS ON THEIR EXCLUSION LIST THEY WON'T COMPENSATE YOU FOR LOSS. WE ARE MUGS TO USE THEM.
Steer well clear, this company is destined to go bust with the level of service they supply, its just awful !! I mean truly awful.
If you sell and require parcels to be collected then OH MY GOODNESS they just don't turn up for days on end and then each day you have to rebook for tomorrow !!
Keep away for your own sanity, this company will be gone inside a few months they cannot survive with this level of incompetance !!
I have used them for sending parcels, 5 in total, and have not had a problem. but one of those parcels was lost and I wasn't happy with the compensation process.
I didn't have a problem getting them to agree to it but the process takes way too long, about a month to get the money. I also added enhanced compensation up to £100 due to the value of my parcel, which was £1.20 extra on my delivery cost but they do not refund that £1.20, I don't know why but it is odd considering they lost it (or more likely one of their staff stole it).
I will not use them again.
They keep you waiting till kingdom come, when the package(s) finally do arrive the packaging has been destroyed. Every packaged I have had delivered by Hermes has had damaged packaging.
They lie and claim they came when they have not, I always check the online tracking regularly.
Apparently, the delivery people of these independent delivery companies (hermes, yodel, dpd ect) are paid every time they are sent out to deliver- Whether or not the package was delivered! So they lie a lot that they 'attempted to delivery' just to get paid extra. They used to quietly slip those 'sorry we missed you ' 'delivery attempted' cards through the letterbox and run away. I guess customers started catching them, cause now I've noticed they rarely leave those cards but instead they use their online tracking system to tell customers they tried to deliver but no one was in.
You only ever receive those cards if they genuinely did try to deliver and no one was indoors to receive.
I am avoiding Hermes from now on and any companies that choose to use them as their courier.
I've just taken delivery of CAST IRON SCALES via My Hermes. The packaging had been ripped to pieces and a MY HERMES blue plastic bag had been put over to 'salvage' the damage. The CAST IRON scales have been broken in 2 places (yes, C A S T I R O N). One of the arms about 2cm x 1 cm thick has been severed as well as a X bar severed from it's anchorage. This MUST have been dropped from a great height, or maybe they ran over it!. Also, the lovely set of weights and 2 brass dishes are missing - whoever 'repacked' them must have know the item was totally messed up. Where are the missing items? Oh my goodness I can't believe anyone can make such a mess of a supposedly unbreakable item, repack them and 'innocently' send them on their way.
I have ordere a few items from ebay and the user has used My Hermes. The first items took a long time to reach me and was left with a neighbouring business, no problem with that. Another purchase, waited ages, received a card through the door with hardly any info written on it. Waited a day or two for a re-delivery and then rang them. They said they have tried to deliver it 5 times!? It's now gone back to the seller.
They are cheaper than Royal Mail but It's not really worth it.
A card was left me to say Hermes had tried to deliver a packet and that I should ring a number. The number was unobtainable. Eventually I was forced to ring an expensive 0871 number. An automated answer advised me Hermes could not discuss the re-delivery of this item as the source was a company out with their own company and that I would have to contact them. The item had been ordered from the USA. Quite unhelpful, quite inconvenient. Not a good delivery company.
I would just like to say how pleased I am with this company. They are doing everything right at the moment. just hope they can keep it up as they get more Custormer's as I'm sure they will if they keep performing as they are at the moment. Keep up the good work My Hermes.
A very happy Custormer
We send and receive plenty of parcels each week and always rely on MyHermes .. they don't overcharge, they don't lose our parcels and we always get the ones we're expecting too.. The guy who collects and delivers is brilliant, friendly and professional. We've never had a problem at all.
Was recommended to use MyHermes by a courier who works for them, cheaper than royal mail he said and collection from your door. Well he collected it and it went to the central hub, and thats where it ended. Lost!!!! I paid extra for it to be tracked and signed for, and clearly that is not enough as they managed to lose it. My first experience using them and my last. My courier is brilliant, but others have been worse, but he only collects and takes to hub. They shouldve had Myhermes on dispatches the other night on tv. As for customer service, well none of them bothered to write anything down, so next time you call, the operator is clueless on history of case
rubbish but no worse than dpd uk mail etch appalling check out their website theyve got thousands of reviews and are on average 4.5 stars out of five what a con
Missed first delivery and call card was left with no details about redelivery or to contact to arrange collection.
Hermes will not discuss with you as you are not the retailer.
Stuck blank card to front of door and printed on it no details? , sub contracted courier took the card and kindly wrote parcel has now gone back to depot, where the fk is the depot.
Yet again I have been let down by My Hermes today who failed to deliver my parcel from Debenhams, This is without exagerattion about the tenth time this has happened. The reason, claim My Hermes, is that we live down an unadopted lane and their drivers, who use their own vehicles, don't want to "risk" driving down it. Funny considering there are 6 houses and 2 small business down here and we all manage to get daily milk deliveries, Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury deliveries, coal deliveries, postal deliveries and even regular deliveries from rival courier companies such as UPS. The problem is big companies use MyHermes to deliver their parcels and we have no choice. The only alternative is for us not to buy anything on line. It's impossible to talk to a "real" person at MyHermes to complain and they have absolutely no customer service or service recovery. If I could I would urge big companies to use much better customer focussed and reliable firms like UPS.
Delivery driver on three occasions didnt leave contact details or details of when the next delivery would be .
Call centre unhelpful and charge excessively.
This is the second time I have had the same awful experience.

Bought an item on ebay to be sent by myhermes. Nothing to really complain about, the parcel did take over a week to get to me but I wasn't in a rush. Delivered by a seemingly nice person, with parcel in perfect condition. Great economy service if you're not in a rush.
Ive used Myhermes a few times and have had absolutely no problems. Things get collected on time and delivered on time, all for a reasonable cost.
I guess the problems could well start and end with the delivery person. If you get a 'couldnt care less' one, the service will be rubbish. Personally, I have a good one.
