I’ve flown Norwegian for years and have been a Reward Priority member for 2 years. In the past year I’ve noticed a massive shift in their customer service. It used to be really good, I was pleasantly... See more

Huonoin lentoyhtiön asiakaspalvelu
Huonoin lentoyhtiön asiakaspalvelu ikinä:
Norwegian lento D82901 Barcelona-Helsinki 21.6.2026 peruttiin ilmoituksella noin kolme tuntia ennen lentoa. Ennakkoon tilatulla taksilla menimme lentokentälle ihmettelemään tilannetta missä samassa tilanteessa olevia matkustajia riitti. Kenttähenkilökunta jakoi lappuja missä asiakaspalvelun puhelinnumerot, ei muuta. Puhelinpalvelussa jonotusaika n. tunnin.
Worst airline company experience ever:
Our Norwegian flight D82901 from Barcelona to Helsinki on 21 June 2026 was cancelled approximately three hours before departure. We had already taken a pre-booked taxi to the airport, where we found other passengers in the same situation.
The only assistance provided by the airport staff was a piece of paper containing Norwegian customer service phone numbers—nothing else. The estimated waiting time for customer service by phone was about one hour. Since flight options were disappearing rapidly, we had no choice but to arrange everything ourselves. We booked replacement flights for three passengers for the following day via London with British Airways and Finnair, and we also had to pay for one night in a hotel. We finally arrived home approximately 30 hours later than originally planned.
After returning home, we submitted a compensation claim through Norwegian's website, including all receipts and supporting documents. Eighteen days later, we received only a brief response stating that Norwegian would not reimburse any of our expenses.
When we asked for the reason for the cancellation, we were told it was due to "air traffic control restrictions." Because the tickets had been purchased through Ebookers, Norwegian instructed us to contact them instead. However, airport operations appeared completely normal that day. There were no visible disruptions in Barcelona or elsewhere in Europe—it was simply a normal summer day.
Unfortunately, Ebookers' customer service is effectively inaccessible, apart from an overseas call centre. Ebookers, in turn, referred us back to the airline and also rejected all responsibility for compensation.
According to Norwegian's own policy, passengers should automatically receive an alternative itinerary when a flight is cancelled. To this day, we have received no rebooking proposal, no travel arrangements, and no further communication whatsoever—only the rejection of our compensation claim.
It appears that an airline can cancel a flight, invoke force majeure or extraordinary circumstances, and refuse to compensate passengers for any of the costs they incur. We also have two separate travel insurance policies, but neither provides any compensation because this situation falls under the airline's legal responsibility.
This experience has completely destroyed our confidence in both companies. I will never fly with Norwegian again, nor will I book travel through Ebookers or any other travel portal owned by the Expedia Group.
I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience with Norwegian\. The communication was unclear and left me feeling frustrated and let down\. There seemed to be a lack of coordination and consideration for passengers, which made the whole situation unnecessarily stressful\.
I also found it difficult to trust the information I was given, as it felt inconsistent and not properly explained\. Overall, it was not the level of service I would expect from an airline, and it has made me hesitant to book with Norwegian again!
What a nightmare
What a nightmare. Empty flight leaving 8pm but staff very tired and grumpy. 4 hours of hell followed. Super angry head steward (see pics). Decided to have a shouting match with a customer who had the audacity to ask for water. I will never use this poor relation to Ryan Air ever again. Horrible experience.
Angry, angry man:
Best service and help ever...
Yesterday I've been in contact with Norwegian customer service for supplying a flight with extra passengers. I got the best service I ever have had in my life. If I could give 10 stars I would do this. Thanks for helping.

Flight Cancellation and Poor Crisis Management
BGO - CPH flight got canceled and communicated 2-3 hours before the flight. Rerouted via Oslo: BGO - OSL same day at 22:00 and OSL - CPH at 7:00 next day. They communicated us to book a hotel through the link they provided. They offered a dinner voucher (as refunding). We accepted all the options offered. When we arrived at the hotel (Scandic Oslo Airport) at 00:00 we learned that the hotel is overbooked by Norwegian Air. So, after begging to the hotel personnel we were able to stay in one room as 2 adults, 2 kids (it should have booked as 2 separate rooms with double beds). It has been confirmed by the hotel personnel that this company always overbooks in such conditions.
I am convinced that this cancellation is not a mistake, this is a habit, a process of this company since same thing happened with them last year as I was trying to travel to London from Copenhagen. This time they announced the cancellation 3 hours to flight, offered another flight 3 hours later. I missed my meeting in London already even they offered another flight.
If you are looking for consistency and if you want to keep your mind relaxed on your holiday, with your family and friends or if you are on a business trip with laser sharp appointments then stay away from Norwegian Air.
I will claim compensation as soon as I get back home.
We booked a flight from Bergen to…
We booked a flight from Bergen to Warsaw with connection in Oslo. We checked two 20 kg bags, both with AirTags inside. Upon arrival to Warsaw, one bag went missing, even though my AirTag had it somewhere in Warsaw Chopin Airport. I got a missing bag report, representative said probably someone picked it up by mistake. However, by the next day, the AirTag indicated that it was in Belarus, then went into Russia, and has now been in Crimea for the last 3 weeks. I filed a police report with the Warsaw police. Norwegian Air never reached out to me, even though I reported the bag as stolen, complete with screenshots showing the bag was obviously stolen. After 21 days of waiting, I called customer support, who had me fill out a missing bag report (again). Within one business day, my request for compensation was denied. Norwegian Air claims that another passenger on board stole it and they have no responsibility. That was pure speculation on their part, as it was never proven the bag even was delivered on the carousel. I responded to customer service, that if that was the case, someone on board must have had a Russian passport as the police told me that they doubted that a civilian stole it, based on where it traveled. I asked them why they haven't worked with the Polish police to share if someone on the flight did indeed have a Russian passport. They rudely responded that if the Polish police wanted any information, they could ask for it. My response was that it was equally likely that someone on the other side unloading the luggage took it and received a payoff for their trouble. To make matters worse, Norwegian Air does not subscribe to the Online Dispute Resolution Center set up by the EU, so disputing the resolution is very difficult to say the least. They obviously know this, so it is not surprising that they make up any excuse not to compensate for lost, stolen or damaged bags. I will never fly this airline again.
Norwegian is a money machine
Norwegian is fine as long as you just buy stuff, but if you want to cancel your orders it’s almost impossible to 1)get hold of anyone (either by phone or chat)- you’ll need to wait 50+ minutes
2)cancel and get some form of your money back, their “cancel protection” only counts sudden illness or death.
My kid has autism and anxiety and due to that he weren’t able to fly. Now Norwegian have cancelled his ticket (and can resell it) but they are unsure whether we can even some of our money back - since “it is not due to any illness”🤬
This is my last time on Norwegian!
Crushed two golf clubs - no help
Title: Damaged my golf clubs, then hid behind a rule that doesn't exist
Flew Malaga to Sandefjord (D85030). Checked in a golf bag in perfect condition. It came off the plane with a hole punched straight through the padded travel bag, the sweater inside, and the club head cover. The driver shaft was snapped at the grip and a hybrid sole was ground down to bare metal. That takes machine force on a conveyor, not a passenger carrying a bag to a taxi.
The damage was hidden inside the bag and only visible once I unpacked at home. I reported it the same day, well within the seven day limit the Montreal Convention actually allows. Norwegian denied the claim anyway, claiming I had to report "before leaving the airport", a requirement that appears nowhere in the law, and which their own reply contradicts by admitting the seven day window in the next sentence.
So their position is: report damage you cannot see, before you can see it, or we deny you. Convenient.
Claim is now with Transportklagenemnda
If I could give zero stars I would !!
If I could give zero stars I would !!
They advertise "full refund if you cancel within 24 hours"
The only way to cancel is online
But the online cancel button does not work !! Asks for me to relog in , but when I log in, I am simplyh back at my booking.
Can never cancel. tries with the app on my smartphone and through the webpages. Same problem.
Appalling scam.
Beware when renting a car through…
Beware when renting a car through Norwegian's website!
An automated system error on their car hire platform swapped AM and PM during my booking. My flight landed as scheduled in the evening, and I arrived at the Goldcar desk at 9:00 PM (21:00)—precisely when my flight arrived. However, because their booking system automatically converted the time to 9:00 AM, my reservation was wrongfully registered as a "no-show" and canceled.
As a direct result of this automated glitch, I was forced to pay an extra €1,300 on the spot just to get a car.
Customer care (CarTrawler) even acknowledged in writing that I was at the desk at 9:00 PM and that my flight arrived on schedule. Yet, they refuse to take responsibility or issue a refund, blaming me for a 12-hour system mix-up created by their own automated platform.
Absolutely unacceptable customer service from both Norwegian and CarTrawler. Fix your booking platform errors and refund your customers!
Worth than Ryanair but 3 times more expensive, like so many things in Norway
Of course Norway's monopoly doesn't let real low-costers to their market.
Why let someone pay 20-30 euros for shitty everything if you can provide even shitier everything for 100€?
New level of petty and desperate unlocked.
Checked up 48 hours previous the flight, randomly got good seats.
Boarding time " oh, you have new seats in the end of the airplane"
Norwegian Air Illegal EU261 Claim Denial – Over 3-Hour Delay (Oslo to Prague)
My flight from Oslo to Prague on June 26 was delayed by over 3 hours due to a technical failure of the aircraft’s auxiliary unit. To make matters worse, once the mechanical issue was finally resolved, the crew ran out of their allocated legal duty hours, causing further delays. Under EU Regulation 261/2004, passengers are legally entitled to €250 in cash compensation for a delay of this length. When I submitted my formal claim, Norwegian’s customer support flatly denied it, dishonestly hiding behind the "extraordinary circumstances" clause. Technical failures and crew scheduling issues are explicitly classified by European court precedents as inherent to the normal operation of an airline, meaning they are absolutely NOT extraordinary circumstances.Even after I emailed customer service direct legal case law proving they are at fault, they completely ignored the law in the hopes I would just give up. I will not. I am escalating this corporate non-compliance directly to the European regulatory enforcement bodies. Avoid this airline if you expect them to respect passenger rights or follow the law.
Zero stars!

I booked my rental car through Norwegian because I trusted their brand. That trust was completely misplaced.
I accidentally arrived one day later than my original booking. Instead of trying to help or offering a reasonable solution, I was told I had to pay around €500 extra just to receive another vehicle, despite already having paid for my original booking.
I was then presented with additional insurance costs that would have pushed the total price to around €1,000 more. At that point, the price was completely unreasonable.
When I declined, I was left without a car and lost the money I had already paid.
What disappointed me most was Norwegian’s complete lack of responsibility. The booking was made through their website, but when everything went wrong, I was simply told to deal with CarTrawler. As a customer, I don’t choose your business partners, you do.
A company with Norwegian’s reputation should stand behind the services it sells and help customers when serious problems arise instead of passing them from one company to another.
I have lost both my money and my trust. I will never book a rental car through Norwegian again, and I strongly encourage other travellers to think carefully before doing so.
Idiotic check in process where they…
Idiotic check in process where they make you queue for a boarding pass with all the people who check in luggage even though you're flying with a hand luggage! Impossible to get the boarding pass online and for no reason whatsoever, nobody able to explain why online pass is impossible to obtain and airport check in kiosks don't work! It's 21st century, get your s together Norwegian, every airline allows online boarding passes to be obtained and if you shouldn't have to queue to the desk if you don't have a luggage to check in!!!!!
Be careful
I tried since this morning to change the date of my flight due to medical circumstances, no one answered on the phone for over an hour, failed to get into the website, ren to Copenhagen airport to the Norwegian desk to try and change the ticket, I was told it can be done for a fee then that it cannot be done (the reason the employee gave was a lie) asked for the cost of new tickets understanding I have no other choice then getting a price with 600 danish crona service fee without knowing, no notice, not a vocal statement on service fee, making look like it is part of the tickets cost, then calling to customer service to complain about this deceiving, getting the answer that it is not ok but this fee is non refundable…shame on them.
Costumer service not helpful at all.
Costumer service not helpful at all.
I have problems with my hands and I use special support for that.
Only thing I ask to help me with my luggage to put on belt and in aircraft put small one on the shelf.
In airport she said no and at aircraft she did it with face like she does not like it.
At least can show some politeness.
Norwegian has high prices, but unfortunately costumer service is bad.
My experience was extremely…
My experience was extremely disappointing. My checked baggage never arrived in Lisbon, and what made the situation even worse was that I was repeatedly told it had been sent and was on its way. Unfortunately, this turned out to be false, and my luggage never arrived as promised.
The lack of accurate information and communication caused unnecessary stress and wasted hours of my vacation. Instead of receiving honest updates, I was constantly given false assurances that my baggage would arrive soon.
Being left without my personal belongings and having to buy essential items while receiving misleading information is simply unacceptable. I expected much better service and accountability. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this airline and will seriously reconsider flying with them again.
Worse air company
This has been, without question, the worst airline experience I have ever had.
Our family vacation was supposed to be an exciting adventure filled with good memories, but Norwegian turned it into a complete nightmare.
In just four days of travel, the airline managed to cancel two of our flights. First, our flight from London to Billund was cancelled, causing us to lose an entire day of our holiday. Then our return flight from Billund to London was cancelled as well, completely disrupting all of our remaining travel plans. As a result, we lost our ferry booking to France and multiple hotel reservations for the rest of our trip.
The financial losses are frustrating, but the biggest disappointment is that our family holiday was ruined by repeated cancellations and the lack of a reliable travel experience.
I would strongly advise future travelers to think carefully before booking with this airline. Based on our experience, I would not choose Norwegian again.
I will never ever travel with Norwegian…
I will never ever travel with Norwegian ever again. They used their chance to manipulate the luggage policy for the small amount if 60 euro and take a lot of money from me for the ticket but from 2027 they will not be able to do that since EU stopping bullshit with handbags policy for the flying companies. No more Norwegian in my frekvence travel. I complained to Norwegian and they confirmed that I only payed fir my perce/lady perce. When I arrived to Check in at the airport they told me that I have handluggage which I didn't bring and perce plus priority boarding. The staff on the flight was very rude. Never again. They acting like criminals.
