Most resellers spend too much money and time on domains. With Openprovider and our Membership program, you can buy, renew, and transfer domains at cost price on one platform to become a more successful and profitable reseller. We are a rapidly-growing, ICANN-accredited domain registrar and technology scale-up founded in 2004 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. We understand the frustrations of wasting hours searching for new domains at fair prices; being hit by unexpected renewal costs after the first year; and losing customers because you can’t offer attractive bundles. That’s why we built a platform to easily manage operations for over 1,900 domain extensions. We were the first to offer a Membership Program to get the domains you need at cost price, and we've been helping clients sell millions of domains for more than 20 years.

Great service! I loved the support video call that I could book.
Great help to register a .cn domain. Even during the weekend. This level of service is rare!
When it comes to managing your DNS registrations, these guys are great
- prices are superb across the board
- support is very good and despite only being by email, can be surprisingly responsive
- the functionality of their website in managing DNS entries, for example, it pretty good. Because I do not use it that often I sometimes miss Large Red Buttons staring me in the face and struggle to find them and have to be shown by support where they are
The AI help chat is pretty dim though, maybe it should be quietly let go.
Caveat: apart from domain registration I do not use any of their paid-for services - I have no need for them at this time.
I feel the website UI has some room for improvement and can sometimes be difficult to navigate, but they provide some excellent features, and I really like their membership plans, which offer domain registrations and renewals at cost.
I run a small web agency (micro.dk) and manage quite a few domains for our websites, so these features are particularly valuable to me. I’ll definitely continue moving many of our existing domains, as well as new ones, to Openprovider.
I recently ran into an issue creating glue records for some .dk domains through their API, as .dk has some registry-specific requirements compared with most other TLDs. Their support team investigated the issue, created the records manually for me, and verified that everything was resolving correctly. Overall, every time I’ve needed help, they’ve been responsive and helpful.
I moved my 80+ domains to Openprovider last year and have had no regrets. Their pricing is very competitive, and the customer panel is easy to use while still being very extensive. It lets me do everything I need to do.
I’ve had a few issues along the way, all of which were no fault of Openprovider, and they were resolved very quickly. Their communication has always been friendly and helpful.
The only thing I wish they offered is hosting. If they ever do, I’d move my dedicated server to them in a heartbeat.
Very good, considerate and responsive client support. Thank you very much for the good work! I really recommend...!
Miguel put extra effort into helping us with our requests, he is an extraordinary person and we are very thankful for all his help. He is the reason we give 5* with this rating. Thank you again Miguel, amazing job!!!
¡Hello Openprovider!
Great service and support from Mexico City. We had a terrible issue with our domains, but you guys rock.
Thanks a lot Christian Barba

Great service, but support needs improvement
The overall service and technical quality are very good, and I’m quite satisfied with what they offer. However, there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to customer support and response times. On a few occasions, tasks and requests were delayed, and both the technical troubleshooting speed and support availability could be stronger.
Overall, a solid service with great potential, but faster responses and more proactive support would make it a five-star experience.
Andreu called our customer and guide him step by step. Thank you!
I've reported multiple instances of phishing sites (generally fake "look-alike" links, meant to look like other website's URLs) registered to this provider. They've been ignored with an automated message, regardless of how much detail I add to the report. Based on other reviews, this appears to be a pattern, and abuse reports in general seem to be ignored outright, shoved through an automated system that automatically denies.

A fake shop operating under a domain managed through Openprovider copies our brand, logo and content, poses as our official shop, and lures customers into paying for goods they never receive.
I reported this multiple times – via the abuse form and by email – each time with the domain, a clear statement of the abuse type (phishing / fake shop) and screenshots. Every report was dismissed with the exact same canned automated reply: that my message was “not recognized as a message about abuse.” No human, no handling – just a bot that filters out legitimate reports and loops you back to a form that no one appears to read either.
The impression this leaves: at Openprovider, active fraud can stay online for days or weeks under a domain they manage, while the “Abuse Handling Team” auto-rejects the reports about it. For a registrar, that is a damning failure. If you rely on phishing and brand-abuse reports actually being handled, steer well clear of this provider.
Edit: Ticket Numbers for Openprovider: 2294454, 2294471, 2294472, 2294503
Edit2: A week has now passed without any response. The fake store is still online and operational, but Openprovider doesn't seem to care.
Edit3: Another week has passed, and the fake shop is still online, continuing to scam people under our brand name. We still haven't heard back from Openprovider. We will now escalate the matter through ICANN.

Reliability is huge for us, and that's what we get with Openprovider. We get a platform that works. With Openprovider Membership we have full control over our costs - we always know what we're paying, so we can build our own offering on top without surprises. And when something does need attention, the support team is quick and easy to work with. It's hard to put a price on that level of reliability.
The worst of all domain registrars I had to deal with. Stupid AI instead of live humans, no way to cancel domain name transfer initiated by scammers.. Worst experience ever.. Don't repeat my mistake. Chose another domain registrar

Cheap, that's about all there is to say about them.
Of course, that means they must invent ways to make you pay more. Some examples:
1: when you register a domain but use the wrong Company Name (for example brand name instead of actual company name), then you must change the details, but of course they want you to pay for a "trade", even though dns.be says that's supposed to be possible for free.
Resist it. After escalating with Belgian domain registry it was for free after all. It's just lies.
2: everything is prepaid > so you are a bank to them. When the amount goes too low because of many domains being renewed at the same time, IN a weekend (or just before), they charge you extra to reactivate the domains that were unable to be renewed when the balance runs out due to other renewals. They send mails daily, and a few emails to notify of low balance, just before the weekend, and expect you to notice this in the noise of their emails.... or preferably: not notice, so you must pay extra (4x) for reactivation (the domain cancelled mails are more visible than their low-key daily summary mails of course). All this of course on purpose, because how else can they make money.
So know what you start with when you become their client. I was migrated from the previous company when things where still honest so I was sucked into it with many domains. But support is bad, and repetitive nonsense ("we sent you mails so you should know", even though there is not enough time to act if renewals deplete the funds at once, and of course they suggest depositing LARGE sums to prevent this, without any guarantee to get the money back if they go bankrupt. I's very scammy, but cheap.
Now you know.
After their response:
I stand by what I said. Email reminders in a weekend are not relevant, if the budget drops due to many renewals at once then there is not much time to top up. Prepaid might be known from the start, but its still shitty to do SERIOUS business.. you don't trust your clients, and usually that is because the one being distrustfull cannot be trusted. The weekly e-mails ARE noise, long, not to the point, and just informational and mentally skipped because of that. Then if sudden renewals trigger low balance JUST before the weekend they are easily missed which is convenient ofcourse. And this way, for serious business, prepaid just is bad service. An alert at 1000? you think I'll trust you with so much money without having given the service yet? I'm not your bank you know? And it's sneaky to not respond at all to the lies about the first topic in the review that was PROVEN to be lies by DNS.BE. With a score of 2.5 on trustpilot, attacking ME for supposed mischaracterisation on a review here is very telling ;-) I definetely struck a nerve by exposing this.

Searched all over for an API we could use to register domains, and whilst OpenProvider weren't the first the catch my eye, ther others were very inaccessible and massively overpriced, so I gave OpenProvider a shot. Didn't regret it at all, they're exactly what I was looking for. The API documentation could do with some love, and the dashboard UI is a bit confusing at first, but all in all, very happy.
