Brilliant service fantastic prices - and ace sleep mat!!
Ordered on-line; cheapest price if collected, but I chose to have it posted and the price was comparable with ebay. Delivery service was excellent, I was able to track the delivery and knew what day to be in for it arriving and as I was given a one hour time slot on the delivery day I could still plan to go out.

Fantastic product but need heavenly intervention to find their warehouse!
With the cost of camping rapidly rising, I am very glad i found this firm.
I was too impatient to wait for free postage so I decided to use the option of picking it up from the local warehouse.
However - It is simply awful to find! No signage from the roadside, and just one 'unit 146' sign above a tiny door! I had to ring them twice for directions and hadn't realised I'd passed the door twice! Not counting the times i went around the block!
I fully intend to visit the huddersfield store, but worried i'l spend far too much money!!
Update your signage for the warehouse and its 5 stars all the way from me!

Responsive, reliable, honest and helpful.
The guy on the end of the phone was able to advise me on the appropraite choice of mat, ensured me it would get to me by close of play the following day. He also arranged for the delivery to be left in a location of my choosing. The order arrived less that 24 hours later exactly as planned. The mat was perfect for my son who was able to set it up himself and had a great nights sleep at Beaver. The process and the product and the company were 100%. Thank you.

Outstanding customer care!
Delivery arrived promptly, although one item had a small manufacturer's fault. The sales team sorted the problem within minutes via email and then later rang me to check how I wanted to receive my refund and make sure I was happy. I was pleasantly surprised by the call. It's not often web-based companies contact their customers directly. All the items received were of an excellent quality and very reasonably priced - the cheapest I could find on the internet. I would happily recommend this company.

Unfortunately I had left the order of my sleeping bag to the last minute but OutdoorWorldDirect came to the rescue with the most competitive price I could find and the most helpful attitude in making 100% sure it was here the day before leaving for holiday. The sleeping bag was great, by the way!

Company is great - some (slight) reservations about the product.
Having bought a Vango Event Tent form this company I cannot recommend the company and their service hioghly enough.
I had some questions about the product beforehand and they were answered promptly and comprehensively. Buying the item over the phone was simple enough and they were happy to allow me to pick up from their warehouse. Everyone I dealt with was polite and courteous at all times.
The product however was a slightly different matter. The idea of the event tent is great. It is a large enough area for 4 adults to socialise comfortably, and 5 at a push. It is sturdy enough to withstand British weather and tall enough to stand in upright. Each door and window can be blanked out with zip-away covers which is great if you are going to be sleeping in it as I do.
Unfortunately the poles are not great and are awkward to assemble and dissemble. The wires which join the two and three section poles were broken and loose in a couple of the poles straight from unpackaging and I wonder how long it'll be before they break altogether. Fitting some of the poles together was quite difficult and disconnecting them was nigh on impossible in some circumstances. In fact, I had to bring a couple of the poles home still assembled. There is no doubt that the poles are industrially strong and they make for a sturdy structure but I must admit that if I hadn't needed the tent so desperately for last weekend and the next four I would have returned it.
The product though, is not a reflection on the company who provided me with excellent customer service - it's a company that I highly recommend and will return to if I need anything similar.

The poles should not stick together like this. It should all be simple to use etc.

Very Speedy delivery, quality product

After searching around everywhere I bought a tent from this company up north. Never heard of them before. Not only were their prices the same as everywhere else, but I got a free gift with my tent too! Awesome!!
They told me when my tent would be delivered and if I needed to change the date it was ridiculously easy to arrange. Unheard of!
So, anyway, everything was awesome and I'd totally buy from these guys again.

Fantastic service, need I say more?
Well, I will say more :) I ordered a camping mat on Wednesday evening - Outdoor World were the cheapest and also had a free delivery option. Received the mat on the Friday, well packaged, within the 1-hour delivery slot. The delivery company (DPD) even sent a text well beforehand, stating within which hour they were going to deliver, with options to change delivery (e.g. to be delivered to a neighbour or on a different day). Can't fault either the shop or their choice of delivery courier in any way.
I highly recommend OutdoorWorldDirect to everyone, without hesitation.

Many apologies if you were offended we sent a brochure with the order.
Just to clarify, we have a flat fee shipping cost with our courier, so if we send a small or large item from 0kg to 20kg, we get charged the same price overall. Therefore adding a brochure to your order would not of affected the delivery cost to you. You pay a standard fee on orders below £50. In fact, our packers sometimes add a brochure to a small package to make it a bit bulkier, reducing the chances of it going missing in transit and small items are often misplaced by couriers.

Sale and Customer Service as it should be!
I recently purchased an Outwell tent from Outdoor World Direct. The price they offered the tent for online was exceptional and cheaper than anywhere else I could find on the internet. I had a few queries about whether it was suitable for my family and whether it would fit in my car so they suggested I come to their warehouse to see. I have to say I found the staff incredibly helpful and bent over backwards to assist me. I bought the tent which is top notch and I'd certainly have no hesitation recommending this firm to anyone else. Well done guys this is customer service as it should be!

One of the best shopping experiences for some time...
Having found the sleeping bags I wanted, this was the best price I could find. However, the key was that I needed a left and a right zipped bag to join them together. The customer service help was excellent. Furthermore, the delivery used was also fantastic, giving me a delivery date and then keeping me informed with text messages so I knew the actual hour the parcel was to arrive. All at no extra cost. Very happy with the sleeping bags, the price, the delivery and the service. A happy customer.

The first product that I received had an issue. However, on emailing OutdoorWorldDirect, I received a very quick reply and my problems were resolved. The guy that I spoke to was very helpful and apologetic for the issue. As the fault with the product was not due to the company, this explains my high rating. I bought a jacket for a great price and unfortunately it was damaged becouse of abnormal high pressure on the package during transport. Within 24 hours the service department (David) reacted on my e-mail and asked me which day I prefered an arranged pick up! They asked me also if I would have a refund or a new jacket. Ofcourse I choosed for a new jacket and within 3 workingdays I received it in a good shape. It was almost bulletproof packed :-)
Becouse I already had sended the damaged jacket back on my own costs, they decided to credit the transportcosts I had made.
Conclusion: Good prices, good aftersales department, great e-mail follow ups during the whole case. I would recommend this shop highly!!

Ordered and delivered in less than 48 hours !
Bought a Vango DS 400 for £30 less than anyone else was selling for, for our 9 year old for camping in the back garden with his friends, ordered at 7pm Wednesday night, delivered before 12 on Friday. Son spent the bank holiday camping in the garden. The tent is also everything we hoped for, put it up in less than 5 minutes, 2 poles and 9 pegs! Might be a squeeze for 4 adults but plenty of room for 4, 9 year olds. Excellent service would definitely recommend and buy from again.
