Not the same product as my high end salon

On Oct 31, 2012 I purchased the No. 4 Hydrating Shampoo from this vendor through Amazon.com and when I got the product it looked like it was authentic but when I opened it up and used the product I realized it wasn't the same. Then I compared it to a bottle from my high end salon and I could definitely tell it wasn't the same. Not only was the color of the shampoo different (yellowish vs. a pearly color) but the smell was different and it certainly had a different effect on my hair (stripped it down). Very disappointed. All the No.4 Shampoo we receive comes directly from the company located in California. The same inventory your high end salon carries comes from the same place if they are getting it directly from No.4. This is a very popular item and we haven't had any issues with it in the past. How can you make your service better,you can't because it was the best ever!

Parfum1 was easy to navigate, easy to order and kept it's word as to when it would be mailed and when I would receive it. The phone call was very good because never have I had anyone call me to ask whether or not we had any trouble for a package going to a PO Box. They wanted to make sure their product would come the best way for me and would get here without damage. I ordered the perfum a little late for my sister's 70th birthday and it came in plenty of time to surprise on that day. She had lost her husband last year and he always bought her this perfum. She was so surprised and it brought back dear memories for her. It was just a great day!

Ive ordered from parfum1 many times in the last three years. Only once was there a small problem (perfum that should have been pink was darker) and they allowed a no-hassle return/refund. The selection is great and continues to grow, and I often take advantage of their sales to buy a back-up bottle of a favorite.

UPS shipping to Canada

I recently placed an order with parfum1.com, I live in Canada, but have ordered perfume online many times from the USA. When the package arrived, I discovered there was a "processing fee" of $28.00 charged to me by UPS, over and above my shipping cost. Needless to say, this was disappointing, and my savings were greatly reduced. This was not duty or taxes, but as far as I could tell just for UPS to make some extra money.

Please, parfum1.com, when shipping to Canada do NOT use UPS or FEDEX - simply ship through the post office (air mail not necessary, ground is fine) as other online perfume companies do.

I love their selection, service and delivery time was good, but I will think twice before ordering here again unless better shipping arrangements can be made to Canada.

Good service but not satisfied with the product

I do not like generally to say something negative, but I was very disappointed with my order from parfum1.com I have been wearing "Poeme" fragrance for the past 15 years and it by far the most long-lasting perfume I have ever had in EDP version.
Attracted with coupon offer I ordered it from this website 3,3 oz (non-spray bottle) along with 3 other parfums. This one was the main intention of my purchase. How shocked I was opening bottle and discovering, that it disappears within 30 min. The leftover of same parfum from Macy’s (4 year old) still lasts on my skin whole day (and clothes for few days), so you cannot blame it on skin chemistry. After talking to sales associates in Macy's and Nordstrom, I have learned that only reason could be that it was old bottle (maybe spoiled due to wrong temperature conditions).
Frustrated, I looked at return policy of the company. As for company policy, I cannot return or exchange it, so I stuck with it, and I do not use it either. $65 are wasted, and I am not sure about other perfumes I bought, because the rest was intended as gifts. I think that my total money spent was $109.60, could as well buy less but normal quality in Nordstrom.
Yet, still waiting for 1 more to come, it was not in stock for the day of shipping. Saving few dollars on coupon and tax end up to be a mistake, because I still would have to buy another bottle of “Poeme” and pay to reliable department store.
I would really appreciate any suggestion.

Wonderful niche selection and super fast shipping!

Great perfume,terrible shipping experience!

Hi! I love my perfumes from parfum1. I can find all the great brands there that are not available at some of the other online stores.However my last purchase of approx $150 dollars was met with a ups charge of another $50 !
This was not duties or customs but ridiculous UPS surcharges.
Unfortunately I have to purchase elsewhere from now on.
