PayPal is easy to use. I feel more secure when sending money to my children and grandchildren.

I was offered Paypal Credit which I accepted. They said 0% charges for 3 months. Then suddenly I gat a ‘LATE PAYMENT CHARGE’ of £12, with no warning, no request for payment. BE WARNED!!

The money I was hoping to send to a colleague is been taken from my bank account BUT, PayPal has not delivered it. Do I get my money sent back to myself? Is the $50 going to reach its destination? Is PayPal going to keep it?
Please let me know what is happening before I make my own assumption.

Even when i think ive made a mistake its resolved quickly.

Absolutely appalling. I’ve been using PayPal for so many years. But, there’s a £150 that they’ve been withdrawing and refunding constantly since 7th August. Customer service is useless as they just repeat the same response. Resolution Centre also unhelpful. After around 20 years, I’ll never use PayPal again.

I keep getting bad experiences with PayPal Credit but this time I am absolutely furious. I have 2 separate purchases AE and Sam where only the AE had a 0% interest 24m plan while the Sam is just on the regular 4 months 0% interest.
I had a chat with their support to ask for when to make a manual payment to go to the Sam purchasse, did that exactly as advised and surprise, the payment went to AE instead.
Contacted them a month ago and as of today i still don't have a resolution, although they promised a reimbursement and reversing my AE plan as it was.
They also setup a payment schedule at my request to go monthly to the Sam purchase, but guess what, this month the payment went towards the wrong purchase again, AE, so now the AE purchase is paid off way ahead of time.
I contacted them again today as i did not wanted the AE purchase paid off who had a nice payment plan setup etc... and i am left now with a huge Sam purchase that has no plan, meaning i will most likely start paying a lot of interest if i don't close it within 4 months.
I was told to wait for the statement and that the issue has been resolved, although nothing has been resolved, i did not get any reimbursement and the scheduled payment also went to the wrong purchase. An absolute shame of a system they have, either that or maybe not enough training for the support to do the job properly.
I am waiting to finish this credit and i will not be using this service ever again, or PayPal in general.

I was scammed on Paypal twice this 2026. Paypal is hand in gloves with scammers it looks like. I tried raising Complaint on resolution and they restricted me from login its sheer open fraud. I want to close my account on Paypal uk no more time to waste on paypal.
All they can do is ask you to keep providing them your identifucations your credentials so that they can scam you easily. Stop taking funds from my account. I will complaint to the police department about frauding me.

I put correct name roberteleighton@paypal and sent US$3001.43 OVER.I have found out it has been sent toRobert Leighton email erleighton@aol.I am sure I specified the correct name as specifi by intended recipient.No help other than contact person who has received the money.I have emailed him and messaged and am sure it is PayPals mistake.I am 87 and cannot afford to lose this which was to buy an artwork as present for my wife on our Diamond Wedding anniversary.Michael O'Driscoll

Simple and direct

The money transfer is fast with no fuss, and no problems, an all round efficient service.

Normally I pay by PayPal and it's no bother, very convenient and instant. A welcome change from having to enter all the details of a credit or debit card number.
Today I have been sent money on PayPal, but now I have no idea how to get it into my bank account, all I have is a message that it's there...can I put it in my bank? Pay myself? Do I need to send it to my wife, to send to me? Does it need to be spent on PayPal?
I have no idea.

Very disappointing experience with PayPal Credit. I had set up a Direct Debit to collect my monthly payments automatically, but PayPal failed to take the payment from my bank account. As a result, the payment was recorded as late and negatively affected my credit report.

This has now caused serious problems with my mortgage application. I had sufficient money in my bank account and believed the Direct Debit was active, so I do not think I should be held responsible for PayPal’s failure to collect the payment.

I have paid the outstanding balance, but I have been unable to get a proper response or have the late-payment marker corrected. PayPal should investigate this urgently and remove the negative information from my credit record.

Withheld my money for three months.
Even though the person I sold to has clicked to say they have received the item.
There’s no reason to hold my funds!!!
Please give my money back

Trying to send money to my older daughter is not going well....I understand about scams and this isn't...she has just set up her PayPal account and I've managed to send her £30 and yet I can send 100s to my younger daughter no problem........

BEWARE NEVER USE PAYPAL

Using PayPal breaks the chain of responsibility for Section 75 protection offered by your credit card.
I'm sure many customers are unaware of this.
PayPal's so called buyer protection it totally worthless 30 days after the product has been delivered so if it becomes faulty and a company refuses to honour its legal requirements under the Consumer Rights Act PayPal will do nothing.
Totally despicable company.

Had over a thousand go in on my PayPal and a week later still can't get it, called them and still waiting for this to be sorted, won't be using PayPal anymore this is not the first time I've had problems, and this is the reason way I never use it so often
