Fantastic quality headphones

Fantastic quality headphones. I have had my Plantronics backbeat 500 headphones for 6-7 years and given them a solid workout in various different conditions and circumstances, and they have held up wonderfully. They are a bit worn now so I have just ordered a brand new pair of the same, why get something else when this has been my experience.

Plantronics ledgend

Plantronics ledgend. Bought it new and within 6 months it kept disconnecting from phone., brought it back and got a new one free with full warranty, 9 months later kept disconnecting, brought back and again the same shop gave me a new unit with full warranty, i thought jasus this is great. I figured out the sensors built into the headset was causing the problem, settings that can be turned off using the poly app, i kept that one for 2 years no problems with the sensors turned off and then the rubber around the ear failed and it fell apart, i gluedit back together and 2 months later people complained that they couldnt hear me properly. In my opion its goid but way wsy over priced, the sensor function is crap, the battery is goid for 5-7 hrs talk time, music 4 hrs, cheap chinese k ock offs can manage 8-12 hrs music 20hrs talk time these days. Basically what im saying is its a headset that lasts 2 years max and there is better quality out there.

Plantronics Voyager Legend... third one.

Purchased a Plantronics Voyager Legend. When it works it works great, yet when it works is rare. Issues with echoing occur but not often. The main issue is the voice command prompting incessantly randomly activating and talking /overlapping on itself. As soon as I put it on it beeps and I hear "Say a command, say a comm, say a, say..." and it keeps repeating and interrupting itself as it speaks. It renders the unit completely useless, because it does this randomly during calls, incessantly and randomly interrupts conversation, and you cannot hear people talking to you. I've tried hard resets, resetting the sensors, etc, yet it doesn't solve the issue. I returned the original unit under warranty, yet the replacement unit is experiencing the exact same issue.

The former Plantronics product line has become incredibly unreliable and quality has cratered under HP/Poly. They just need to kill the entire product line or sell it off to a company that specializes in this particular product and can manage it better. I will not be using their products any longer.

would not recommend Poly products for organizations

Our entire call center, comprising 27 workstations, has been using the Plantronics W720 headsets for over a decade with outstanding reliability. However, since upgrading to the Poly Savi 8220, we have encountered significant functionality issues.

Despite being marketed as Microsoft Teams–certified, the headsets fail to perform as expected. The call accept button does not function, and the Poly Lens software frequently fails to recognize the devices altogether. These issues have rendered the headsets impractical for daily operations in a professional call center environment.

We are therefore exploring alternative headset solutions to replace our current equipment across all workstations. It is disappointing to note that the level of customer support once associated with Plantronics appears to have declined substantially since the transition to Poly. Support responses have been inconsistent and often inaccurate, making issue resolution unnecessarily difficult.

In summary, based on our recent experience, we would not recommend Poly products for organizations seeking a dependable, enterprise-grade call center solution.

Not the quality they were

Not the quality they use to be. I loved my first 2 legend earpieces, hate my third one.
Had them for the last 10 years. Mine gets well used as only got one arm so I really do need hands free!!! This was my third buy and recently replaced under warranty as charging port wouldn't work. I won't be buying another. Talktime gone down from the 7 hrs it has always been to 5 hours and when it says an hour left it means 20 minutes. I am often told I sound like I am in a tunnel when talking. Often it won't respond to commands, I have to press button to answer a call. Top money for something that is now poor quality. My advice, look elsewhere for your earpiece.

Voyager Legend Bluetooth Headset: Overpriced Junk That's Not Worth Your Money

"Voyager Legend Bluetooth Headset: Overpriced Junk That's Not Worth Your Money"

Consider this a warning: the Voyager Legend Bluetooth headset is not only a technological disappointment but also a complete waste of your hard-earned money. This overpriced piece of junk promised the world but delivered nothing but frustration and regret.

Let's start with the price tag – it's absurdly high. For a device that fails to deliver on its most basic promises, the Voyager Legend is an insult to consumers' intelligence. I shelled out a small fortune for this supposed top-of-the-line headset, only to discover that I might as well have thrown my money down the drain.

But the real kicker is the abysmal performance. Despite its hefty price tag, the Voyager Legend can't even manage to stay connected to my devices for more than a few minutes at a time. It's like playing a never-ending game of Bluetooth roulette, where the odds are always stacked against you. And don't even get me started on the call quality – it's so bad that I'd rather communicate via carrier pigeon than suffer through another conversation on this infernal device.

In conclusion, do yourself a favor and stay the hell away from the Voyager Legend Bluetooth headset. It's not worth the exorbitant price tag, and its laughably poor performance will only leave you feeling cheated and angry. Save your money for a product that actually lives up to its promises and delivers the quality and reliability you deserve.

expensive wireless headset goes to bin

I got this headset Voyager FOCUS UC B825 USB-A for a little over £200 which is paired with the BT600 dongle, it has been reset many times and the firmware updated but I am still getting the 3 consecutive beeps every other second when I try to use it with WhatsApp or Teams calls. Sound is OK for YouTube or just listening to anything. Contacted their support, and tried a few things but nothing could be done, they will not replace them because the headset is a few months out of warranty which I understand, but what bothers me they will not repair them even if I paid for it, so an expensive headset will just go to the bin. Not a trustworthy manufacturer.

Good headset, but microphone developed a finicky connection

I've been using a Poly Blackwire C5200 headset for 2 years now, and overall, the sound quality and comfort have been great. However, recently, the microphone has become unreliable. I have to wiggle the cord where it connects to the CPU port to get it to work properly. This is frustrating during calls and meetings.

It's disappointing that this issue developed after just 2 years of use, especially for a headset in this price range. While the audio quality is still good, the unreliable microphone connection makes it less than ideal for professional use.

Poly Voyager 5200

Poly Voyager 5200.
I got it today as a birthday gift. Was very happy until I realized that it comes WITHOUT any kind of charging possibility. Just with poor microUSB cable for nothing. Complete disaster!!! Charging "cup" from my old Legend doesn't fit, obviously... Of course you can search and get a CHARGING CASE for SAME price as device it self cost. Just a
"little" waiting for 16 days. Damn, you have to be kidding........ Never ever will get something with that kind of surprise at your birthday.

literally no support services

I bought a headset from plantronics. One ear cup stopped working with my laptop only, still works on phone. Strange, ill email them and ask whats up.

You have to create an account to access any kind of support. i finally did so, then there is no email available or any option to ask anyone a question. I literally can't speak to anyone about my problem.

I called them; phone number doesnt ring out.

I went to their forums, I can't post?

I went to their 'knowledge page'. There is no information on trouble shooting.

So where am i at? I have a broken product, and literally no way of contacting the company to ask about it.

Will never purchase from them again.

Purchased 2 Plantronics Bluetooth…

Purchased 2 Plantronics Bluetooth headsets in August 2021 both headsets have poor sound quality and vocal quality, poor construction the earpiece section the rubber portion tears. Contacted (Plantronics)/Poly company about a warranty replacement and they sent me a used refurbished also defective headset with poor sound quality and poor vocal quality. That company wouldn't honor a replacement warranty for the refurbished headset and wanted to charge me to buy another headset while I send them back the defective headset so they can repair it and resell the headset. Buyer beware when shopping for a good quality headset don't buy from this company they will over charge you and give you poor quality equipment.

I wish I would have read these reviews…

I wish I would have read these reviews before getting into the run around game that they put me through. I am not sure why they changed companies but I am pretty sure it has everything to do with poor products backed by poor customer care. Typical ecperience as every one here. Head phones started to get very low and disconnect often. I spoke to customer service and was told to return the headset only. After not hearing from them I reached out only to hear they needed me to send the USB port in. I told them I was done with the BS and will get the headphones serviced on my own. They said the headphones had been destroyed. Worse company. Hustle 101. Make customer prove their case. All attachments expire and disappear. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Bought 3 Plantonics Blackwire 5220s- 3 warranty claims

I Bought 3 Plantonics Blackwire 5220s for my senior sales team and myself as CEO. of the first 3, 2 didn't work. Managed to get 1 working after 45mins on the phone with support.

Sent 1 back for warranty assessment. 3 weeks later got my replacement. It works fine on my phone, but does not work at all when connected to the USB connector on any computer. Just spent another 45mins on the phone to support.

I now have instructions to take the WARRANTY REPLACEMENT SET back for a warranty claim as it doesnt work properly. WHY would I ever consider buying Plantronics gear ever again!!??????

The only reason I gave them even 2 Stars is because their Support team are accessible and both occasions were very constructive clear and helpful.

It will ultimately be close to 10 weeks since purchase before I get the 2nd warranty replacement set, lets hope that will work. I don't like my chances based on experiences to date.

March 2022 update: 1 of the Plantronics camera that was working. Is no longer working at all. It stopped Mid March. I'm over it. Never again!

Not worth the money

Unfortunately, these headsets and this company are just not worth the money. I've had issues with two headsets that are supposed to be "top of the line" and then had to PAY (without the proper disclosure) to return them. The "hubs" that always have to be up and running on the computer vary with regard to accuracy, the quality of sound varies; it's like the headsets have a mind of their own. Phone calls to customer service take far too long and the representatives are not clear with their instructions. It's just not been a good experience with this company nor their product(s). I got a replacement headset that was a completely different product and still presents quality issues randomly. Not sustainable. Very disappointing for the amount of money spent on these headsets.

Very Fragile

I've gotten a little over 40 units for my company, and various models. That's roughly £3500 probably more. I've seen a model go from £70 to £120. I can surely say they are all quite brittle. Pieces just come off, mics break off, random things. I thought it was the users' fault, but I witnessed a crack happen just by putting a headset on. Half the units have tape on them. Sound is great though; but what's the use if you can't wear it. They do not repair them, warranty won't cover it as it's considered physical damage.

PlanTronics BackBeat

Bought the PlanTronics BackBeat Noisecanceling headphone. The hanger is made of plastic and broke rather fast so I requested a return on warranty. Received the return label immediately. Important to say: the seller (FNAC) asked to contact PlanTronics directly. After a small phone conversation with PlanTronics I was redirected to their website for a return claim. Within 3 days a new headset was delivered, no charges at all (packing, shipping, etc). I will be more careful with the plastic hanger this time.
PS product is great: heavy bass and strong sound. Blue tooth enables handsfree calls etc
Not recommended for professional use
