Choice, price and response has always been excellent but!!! Over the years I have bought countless CDs and many DVDs (opera and classical music) with no fault with their quality. However, my "small niggle" is that when describing the DVD there is often no specific reference to whether it is a "live" recording or a "staged/mimed" performance. I have now given up buying DG opera DVDs as their back catalogue seems to be all the latter type, with some truly execrable performances. It's too expensive to "take a chance" on it being a live performance - with all the necessary emotion and excitement and true lipsync. I have otherwise enjoyed countless hours of enjoyment from my purchases. I am already pleasurably anticipating my current order.
I took particular attention to add a note to say if I was not at home to leave the parcel with either of my neighbours.
There was nothing on the parcel to advise the Post man of this and as a result he did not leave the parcel.
This resulted in having to drive many miles to collection office to collect the parcel.

I know that if I open their catalog or go online I am going to find new cds and dvds that I
didn't know existed by often people who are new discoveries for me or collections that I hadn't thought about buying; all at extremely competitive prices.
I ordered a party tent which arrived within a couple of days and after a few weeks ordered two more for delivery to friends in Northern Ireland. Unfortunately they were delivered to my address but the response from customer service was excellent. The tents were collected the next day and are on their way to the correct address. A minor blip which did not cause any great concern. I will definitely use Selectios again.
I use Selections only for CDs and DVDs. I buy lots, and I would buy far more from Selections because I like their service; but their CD/DVD postage charges (compared to free postage withAmazon and HMV) are prohibitive and usually makes them uncompetititve. A shame really.
I ordered a box set of CD's from Selections and received the set in perfect condition.
I'll definitely use Selections again for other items they have available at really good prices.
Being in South Africa, it is great to find a reliable supplier of (rare) Classical music recordings as the choices on the shelves in South Africa are extremely limited.

Last weekend I ordered a bird table from Selections priced at £21.99. On Tuesday, only 3 or 4 days after placing the order I received the item but later on that day I received an email giving details of an offer of a Bempton Bird Table at a priceof £17.99. I found this a bit galling, having received my order that day.

I got home to an email confirmation saying my order was being dispatched and that I could track it via City Link which I quickly did as I was really looking forward to the items arriving and they said they'd been delivered which I couldnt find or see. So I contacted Selections who quickly contacted city link to find they had been delivered but left wide open on my doorstep and had been stolen. Selections have been amazing they have refunded my goods straight away and have apologised. Shame I cant say the same thing about that driver at City LInk!!
Unfortunately, when the rack arrived, two of the components were broken, including one of the drawer slider rails, where the screw had sheared off, so this was not damage done in transit. I managed to repair both components, rather than have the hassle of returning them for replacements, but I was a little disappointed in this.
The bargains are good value; if you can actually get them! I'm tired of ordering items which, after a long wait, turn out to be out of stock. I don't think I have ever received all the items I have ordered. It also seems to take ages for orders to arrive. Why is it that other companies, big and small, can get an order to me in 24 hours but Selections can take up to a month?
I shan't be bothering again and Selections promotional Emails will be going straight to SPAM!
A week to deliver which these days seems too long and when the order arrived it was incomplete due to items being out of stock, which were in stock when I placed the order. Not happy. I then receive an email from the company saying I can track the item using the number below, yet there is no number. I email and get ignored. I later get an email from the delivery company giving me a 2 hour time slot 9:45-11:45 which means I can go out later. I wait & wait to find him turn up 14:11 & no apology when he does, though apologies are of no use to me anyway. What a wasted day. Don't think the driver has a licence as it took him 5 minutes to park in an empty street, back & forth on our side then the same on the other side of the street. Not the best customer service or delivery I've come across.
I've been waiting for a month for my order, and when the first part arrived it fell apart. I have written to say that I'd like to return it and also like the second part of my order, but have heard nothing to date. Not good!!
Below is the content of an email I sent yesterday to Selections.
"This order was delivered last Friday. No one was in and the courier left it up against the front door which is completely unacceptable. If we had been on holiday, it would have been an invitation to burglars.
The packaging was poorly taped up – just a bit of sellotape – and was holed in places.
I opened it today. The product is the poorest quality I have ever seen. There is at least one piece missing. Several of the pre-assembled pieces are falling apart. I tried to screw them back together but the wood is of such poor quality that it cannot hold the screws. I did not bother to assemble the product as I doubt it would hold a bunch of feathers, never mind dozens of apples.
Putting two and two together, I imagine this may have been delivered to several people before (hence the state of the packaging) and they also had the sense to send it back.
easy to order, good value, came in good time, everything was exactly what was advertised, I am very pleased with the service i got, and living in Orkney, it is hard for me to purchase the same selection of gardening goods at the same good price, AND, I am not asked to pay a large surcharge for delivery.

I bought a Gazebo for a party and sent an e-mail to the customer service department asking if it would arrive before the day. They replied the same day to tell me they had arranged for the parcel to leave immediately. It arrived within plenty of time. Very good service.
Having recently recieved the complete Dvorak String Quartets played by the Stamitz Quartet I have to say the quality is excellent. The recording is fresh, well recorded and very good value. To my knowledge it is the only set to include rarely heard early quartets without opus numbers. The service, as always, is prompt and professional. Packaging is very good and secure.
