I ordered a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses from SmartBuyGlasses because they were 50 euroes cheaper than in the Danish stores. However, I didn't read the text that said that the glasses would be delivered within 3 weeks. When I discovered this I wrote to them to get my money back. They replied fast and polite and offered me the money back, but also sent me some ideas of what other glasses I might like instead, that they had in stock. I decided to wait for the ones I had originally ordered, and a couple of days later they arrived with a FedEx mail delivery! The glasses were perfect and I will definately use SmartBuyGlasses again next time I need (sun)glasses.
Ok look, first off, yes this company is based in Hong Kong, but don't let that put you off, the delivery will not be instant, but that is the price you pay for a good price. I've ordered six pairs of glasses from these people so far without a hitch and from what I can see the items are genuine from the cheapest Polaroids to the most expensive oakleys. Lets face it most of the glasses in the world are manufactured in the same super plant in Italy using the same equipment just different quality parts for each line. Customer service has always been efficient and fast even for the most minor of queries. I know I sound like an advert for them, but genuinely I've only had good experiences. Packaging is good and despite being an import has always survived well. So far I have even I avoided import tax somehow! I am a sunglasses nut, and I will definitely continue to order from this firm. If you are nervous, just order a cheap pair of Polaroids to test the company out before buying something more expensive. Just don't expect them to arrive tomorrow, be prepared for about a fortnight and then you won't be disappointed.
I ordered a pair of sunglasses of smartbuyglasses.co.uk and it was a big mistake. Firstly there is no phone number to contact them and they don't bother replying to their emails either.
I decided to cancel this order as it takes way too long to receive it but in vain. I emailed them every day and sometimes twice a day but of course no reply.....all i want to do is cancel this order before dispatching as i don't want the hassle of sending them back. I want a refund and never buy cheap sunglasses of dodgy websites.
I therefore do NOT recommend this website - smartbuyglasses.co.uk to anyone as it's a joke.

I am satisfied overall as i bought a great ray ban for a great price. The glasses are fine, they seem to be authentic with good quality. Their delivery process is rather slow as it took them for two weeks to dispatch my glasses even though they were in stock. But i could follow the status of my order with tracking code and everthing.
My mother always says: "if something is too good to be true it probably is" so, with that advice ringing in my ear and with trepidation, I purchased some cheap Ray Ban glasses with a prescription.
They arrived swiftly, with the lens in and the original lenses included. No signs that the glasses are a fake and the lens quality was close to indistinguishable from original Ray Ban lenses.
I would recommend to anyone.

I ordered some glasses 29/05/13 and still no sign of them with no update on my status, just says in stock. I emailed them few times and eventually got a reply for them to say will be in the start of this week, but still no sign! and emailed again and no reply!. although someone seems to be replying to this message forum quicker!!. anyway.so that gone past the 11 working days. that they say!, this should be removed from the website if can’t be meet that, or they say they will update you if delayed , well i not had any notification its delayed. There is no phone number which is worrying !!!The glasses were suppose to be for a holiday soon but doubt they are going to come in time now,, I would advise anyone that wanted to buy from here and need them within a month or so not too as SLOW service... just hope if and when they do turn up they are the right ones!!

I ordered a pair of DKNY prescription glasses from smartbuyglasses UK. I was initially told that the frames were not in stock but that the manufacturers would be sending a pair from their warehouse. you would assume that the DKNY factory would be in the US.. so when I received a confirmation to say the glasses had been shipped from Hong Kong, alarm bells started to ring,
I was disgusted to find that when the glasses arrived, they were FAKE. Absolutely and blatantly FAKE. Having seen the real glasses in a department store in London, and compared them to the ones I received, I am absolutely shocked to think that the company can be conning customers like this and think they can get away with it. There are blatant differences between the real pair and the pair I received. The ones I received were awful quality and not even a decent fake. Not to mention that the frame was way larger than the real one.
I have contacted the company twice and have not had a response within their so called 24 hour response time policy. I look forward to receiving an explanation and a refund in full.
Please do not trust this company. Con artists is all I can say.
still waiting for delivery 2 weeks gone by and yet according to the order tracking service they are in stock and have been since the day i purchased them ,also i have tried contacting customer services with the promise of response within 24 hours .........i contacted them 37 hours ago .might sound petty but when your promised a certain service " you would expect to recieve it would you not"
After reading reviews on here it seems the only way to get a response is to be angry!
I'm still awaiting an update on my £255 order, for a pair of prescription glasses placed back on the 26th of April. Assuming the worst case scenario of 11 business days for the glasses plus an extra 3 business days for prescription lenses I should get them shipped no later than the 16th of May. I've received one update telling me that they were delayed from the distributor but nothing since that. Status still says "stock confirmed".
So SmartBuyGlasses, it's over to you to prove my gut feeling wrong and make me upgrade this rating form a poor experience "2 star" up to something better.
Contact them last Wednesday to return my glasses require a RMA number. Automated emailed received then nothing. Emailed again still nothing. They say their Customer Support Team aims to respond to your query within 24 hours, Monday to Friday.
The website says
"We provide a high level of after sales service, which includes a guaranteed Return Policy."
Service received has been very poor and still no contact from anyone regarding the RMA number which is needed to make the return
I'm disgusted by the service. I was told my order would be dispatched within 5-11 days, and it has now been over four weeks and my item still hasn't even been dispatched. I sent multiple emails asking for a reason as to why my order was not dispatched, and recieved no reply for over a week. When I finally got a reply they told me it would be dispatched by the beginning of the next week. At the end of the following week, with my item still not dispatched, I sent them another email and they told me that AGAIN it would be dispatched by the beginning of the following week, and here I am, four weeks after I made the order, and it still hasn't been dispatched. Every email I recieve is clearly scripted, and customer service is terrible. My item wasn't cheap, and at such cost I would've have hoped that the customer service and speed of delivery would have been much better. Most confusing is that my order status has been 'stock confirmed' for four weeks - Does this not mean that my item has been confirmed and is available, but they're just waiting for it to be dispatched? Why should this then take four weeks? If the item is there, why is it not being dispatched? Whenever I ask these questions I get no answer, just a scripted response diverting away from the original question. I have threatened to cancel my order but this doesn't seem to faze them at all. If I'd known my order would take this long I would have cancelled it a long time ago, but I seem to have fallen for their 'we'll get in contact with the distributor and ensure your item is with you as soon as possible' BS. I have now told them that if my item is not dispatched by the end of the week then I am cancelling my order. I understand that my situation may be an anomaly, as there seem to be many positive responses, but that doesn't excuse the fact that my order was made four weeks ago and is yet to be dispatched, and that the customer service I have recieved has been terrible, when they have bothered to respond. Has anyone else had this problem?

Just received my Vogue spectacles and very pleased with quality and price. Delivery took a little longer then expected but delivered 2 weeks after the initial order which I don't think is unreasonable given they are made up and delivered from Hong Kong. Not had chance to try out the transition lenses yet though due to lack of sunshine.
Just received my order for prescription Ray Ban top bar glasses after waiting nearly a month. Astonished by the awful lenses that were recommended when i ordered the glasses. These are supposed to be wrap around glasses but the lenses are flat making them very, very thick (6mm to 7mm) on either edge and thin in the middle of each lens. This is very disappointing. If SmartBuyGlasses cannot make this type lens you shouldn't advertise that you can!!! I want a replacement or full and immediate refund. please do not send an automatic reply to this complaint as you usually do. A real person please?

Returned the faulty sunglasses on 14 May 2013 for a full refund- RMA number: EN2261578632R - (by the way, was not offered an alternative such as rectifying my order) and still have not received confirmation of receipt or refund. 'Smart'(sic)buyGlasses, confirm receipt of returned glasses and give me a full refund immediately or do nothing and i will report you to the trading standards agency (Dorset) yes, i know where one of your bases are. They will be very interested in the positive responses you yourselves have posted as they are obviously false. Far too positive compared to the awful negative responses from unhappy genuine customers. I demand a full refund by 29 May which is a full 10 days from when you received the returned goods or i will take the further legal action.
Once you purchase from them don't expect a quick reply if you've ordered the wrong size/color. Ordered a pair of raybans but wanted to cancel the item, I've sent them countless e-mails and still have not heard from them and there is no contact number to be found. You might as well get a pair from amazon where you can change your order and the service is much much quicker and better. I expected alot more from what is advertised, still waiting for a reply on my refund and cancellation, don't know how long will I get my money back. Unnecessary worry and time wasted. If you don't want to be worried about your order/money with a lack of communication, avoid this.

I read good reviews about this company online so I decided some ray bans Well I ordered them on the 9th.. It's now the 3rd and they still have not came!! I have ordered the company twice and no reply each time.. This is shocking how its getting so many good reviews.. Appalling.
I order 2 Ray-Ban sunglasses on this website on 10 April.
Today is 1 May, and I haven't received anything.
During this period, I write many e-mail to them.
They always let me wait 2 days to reply it.
Now they blame on the supplier and want me to wait another 5-11days
Can you believe that?
I have wait over 20 days and now I need to wait another 5-11days!!!
If they out of stock, they should mention on website.

100% impressed with the Ray Bans I received.
I also has perscription lenses fitted in them and they were exactly what I ordered. Plus got the originaly Ray Ban lenses in the package as well.
I will definitely be ordering again in the future when I want different sunglasses.
Nearly bought my Maui Jim glasses on holiday, but found them cheaper with Smartbuyglasses through what I thought was a UK based company. Decided to go with them as I thought being UK based might make any future issues easier to deal with. The price made me forget my usual checks and so didn't investigate properly. It wasn't until order confirmation that I realised this was a Hong Kong based company, which was when the panic set in. However I got confirmation and a DHL number within a day and tracked my glasses to delivery which took three days from placing order. I have had them checked at an Optometrist and they are the real deal.
The ones I ordered where listed as fast shipping, which judging by other posts does make a difference.
Overall very happy with delivery speed and especially price, saving nearly £40.
My only gripe is why they don't come clean about their base location. The website and address are deliberatly misleading.
Cant rate my experience with this company highly enough! Ultra speedy - couldnt believe how fast my glasses arrived - within 3 days of ordering! Product exactly as described, at a super competitive price. What more could anyone ask for? Will definitely be using again!
I ordered a pair of glasses and the money promptly left my account. The glasses were in the fast shipping category. One week later I recieved an email saying the glasses were actually not in stock and they could not get any for 4 (maybe more) weeks. I feel very mislead as I was not told the glasses were not in stock when I ordered them as I would have gone elsewhere. Its not good enough to say 'this is a rare occasion' as they took my money and waited a week to make me aware. They offered 5% discount from their fast track, dispatch in 24-48 hours range and guess what my glasses were there! Does not exactly fill you with confidence that any alternative will actually be in stock either. It feels at the moment this is a take the money and blag the rest kind of outfit. I have asked for a call from them and my money back. I hope it is there as promptly as it went out. Will update later UPDATE; 3 days later, No refund No telephone call
Absolutely love my glasses, they come in a really nice case and box so am very pleased. The order arrived really quickly, I was able to track it all the way but one minute it was in Hong Kong and the next on my doorstep, amazing!i never give feedback for sites I have used but I read their feedback myself before buying and was sceptical so to put myself at ease I bought through PayPal so I knew my money would be safe but I didn't need to worry as they were brilliant. I even managed to get 5% off my order with a voucher so am very happy.
Genuine, authentic Rayban Wayfarers, swift delivery and good customer service. Very pleased.
I was initially a little sceptical about the authenticity because of such a low price compared to what I had seen elsewhere, but the Persol glasses I order are absolutely genuine, and came with a handy cleaning kit. Will be recommending the site and would definitely buy again.
First time I used the site –I live in England. I was after a pair of Wiley X sunglasses – ordered while on holiday abroad. Noticed no phone numbers and thought they were UK Company. Had a query email from them after the order was accepted asking for more details for security purposes – possible because I was ordering whist abroad on holiday? Noticed then that it was a Hong Kong company and got a little worried - although my order was for over £100 and I used a credit card - so I was financialy safe. Couple of more email exchanges and within 10 days I was watching the tracking details on the courier web site - sunglasses arrived as ordered. Very satisfied although looking at some of the reviews on here - some people are concerned at lack of email response. Guess if the company reviewed their admin and answered emails more quickly they would have less negative reviews. Hope they get this sorted (they did send me an email asking me to give my opinions as they had some poor reviews with a 5% discount on my next order) I can't fault them as I got what I ordered at a good price within the time promised. On the website it states 'fast delivery' I class this as 2 working days. I waited 5 which is quick considering they're from Hong Kong. I wouldn't mind that at all if the company were up front about it. But it's a .co.uk site and I expected it to be dispatched from the UK!
That said the product is fantastic and the price was good, I just don't like the lack of honesty, and If I receive an import tax bill from customs I will not be happy!
Good overall but be aware of the Hong Kong origin.
If you are looking to buy a pair of glasses quickly and without issues, avoid this company!
The order was supposed to be delivered between 5 to 10 working days.. it came after 14 and the sunglasses were wrong! Right model but wrong size.
The customer service wasn’t helpful either.. I wrote several emails asking for updates and reasons of the delay and none answered me for 4 days! They said this was due to a large volume of email.. Hire some more people if this is the peak season for you as u say!
Waste of time and energy, hopefully I'll get my money back!
They have zero customer service cannot be trusted with your money - no phone number always a bad sign.

Update 03/05/2013... I received my refund in full which is much appreciated. With wildly conflicting reviews here I would suggest this company's customer service is at best patchy. They have asked me to re-review them as it where and I am obliging. If you don't have the glasses in stock TAKE THE PRODUCT DOWN. FFS its not rocket science.
I bought my glasses 10 days ago, they charged me after the second day and two days ago I got an email saying the item I ordered has been "discontinued". The email says I can get a refund or order a new item but It doesn't say how. I sent an email asking for a refund but they haven't anwsered yet. I also try to call them but I couldn't find a phone number.

I have ordered my glasses 12 days ago, was charged on the first day and my order status is still "Waiting to be verified."
I have e-mailed them 3 times, waited over 2 days and STILL NO REPLY.
Avoid this company. As I am sure they will take your money as well.

I was very dubious when I realised that my order was coming from Hong Kong despite being a .co.uk website with nothing immediately visible to notify you otherwise. However, I ordered my Persol frames on a Sunday night and by the time I woke on Monday morning they were already dispatched. They arrived in speedy time by Wednesday & I was relieved at their authenticity. I am very pleased and would recommend and use again.
Amazing customer service.. Went above and beyond for me.. Pleasure dealing with the team..nothing fake about this company .. Ignore all the negative reviews..

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!! I have no idea how the hell they have even one good review and now i suspect they are actually doing fake buys them selves to be able to create what looks like real buyer reviews.
They take your money and i waited to 5 to 11 working days for my item. It is now 16 working days and no item, have emailed them 3 times and no response what-so-ever!!!
I have told them now i want a full refund and my order cancelled! but like everything else this has been totally ignored.
i am now having to put in a claim through paypal and by the time i get my money back it will be about 6 weeks since placing the order and no sunlgasses!!
The total lack of customer service says to me that if anyone does get their sunglasses from them double and triple check them because i would definetley guess at them being fakes!
I mean they say one of the places they get stock from is CHINA. Need i say more???

I found the price to be very good but was concerned when I noticed the goods came from Hong Kong. However the glasses were delivered within a few days and were the genuine product so I would use the company again. I guess they use non European suppliers because of prohibitive tax charges within the EU now. Anyway I highly recommend this company and will use them in the future.
From ordering on-line to receiving the glasses it was only a matter of days, considering they came from HK. Email updates from supplier to courier were excellent
