Worst Customer Service EVER!

If for any reason you may need customer service with Tiger Direct purchase, DO NOT BUY front this company, processing order and timeliness of shipping is satisfactory but absolutely the worst customer service I have EVER! experienced. Purchased from Walmart marketplace, seen they used Tiger Direct, I thought, never heard of them but if Walmart is using them, they must be ok? Wrong, I wanted to modify my order 1 hour after placing the order, called customer service, explained what I needed, replied as third party shipper they could not do anything with order, only option was to cancel, I said ok, please cancel and I will reorder, 3 days later, I receive item has been shipped email for the order that should have been cancelled, called and they explained, order was shipped because cancellation was not received in time.. 1 hour after I place order, call and cancel, wasn't enough time? Then I was told to refuse shipment when ups delivers, ups comes and drops package by my door, no signature? $1,000 order? Ok, now I have the package, now it's been 3 weeks and 7 calls to customer service, still waiting on the Return Authorization Number to send back. If you are considering buying from this company, I would strongly suggest buying from another source.

Caution something wrong with this company

So I order a camera, check with paypal the charge goes through then check with UPS and a label is printed 9 days ago and they have not received product to ship. Have contacted paypal just want my money back.Customer service no help. Don't Buy From This Company You May never Get Your Product. Will check revues before doing more online purchases

10 year customer of this company...never again!~

I purchased a video card from this company that I never received. Issued complaint and was told "an investigation" would take place within 10 days. Like I'm a criminal because I didn't get my order! Nothing ever came of the "investigation", two weeks after the date given for the "investigation" to be completed and now I receive no communication from the company at all. Here's the rule of thumb...if in order to get a discrepancy resolved I have to resort to Visa Fraud Services, I will take ALL my future business elsewhere. I have built a number of systems using this company for work and home in the past, and before this would have recommended them...but thier absolute lack of meaningful customer service will prevent me from doing that in the future. It strikes me that perhaps at this point they are just playing with me hoping that my 60 day limit to inform Visa Fraud Services expires. Not a chance! I will in the end receive compensation for being stupid enough to use this company, and they will receive a million negative endorsements from me in whatever format of forum I can post on.

Dismal Customer Service

It is pathatic how Tiger Direct responds to these reviews. All appear to be spam like/template reponses that surely will lead to more dissatisfaction and they haven't been reviewed since February 21 2014 or may have simply given up. I tried to cancel my order but these bastards told me my item had already shipped. Sure the one small item addon did but the main item was still on hold. They also misinformed me of the one item they coaxed me into buying which I am returning.... After reading the other reviews it will be interesting to see what happens.

Go somewhere else

They do not know what they are talking about. They get information wrong. They do not ship when they say they will and if you ordered using their advise, good luck. I will go without technology before I buy from them again and I gave them more than one chance. This has been a problem for some time both online and in the stores. Stay away.

Now does Third Party - your stuff might not arrive

Tigerdirect now does third party like Amazon. When I bought it, they didn't say anything about it not being in-stock or third party. Four weeks later, no hard drive and the live chat customer service guy is surprised I want a refund. He said he was willing to email the supplier and follow up on my order but that will take 24 hours or so.

Time to switch to another computer parts supplier!

Blatant Mail Fraud operation!

Placed an order on feb 28th, the 2 smallest items were shipped the following week both later than promised. The bulk of my order was instead shipped to an unidentified company in Illinois instead. Twice (so far) they've made blatant lies & excuses to cover up their scam. First they claimed "it was shipped back to our warehouse" and second time "we're unable to locate the tracking number", the same tracking number UPS provided when the item was picked up & delivered to someone else. They refuse to ship my product or refund my money. Save yourself from being ripped off, its clearly an organized mail fraud operation. Only question is, with all of these scams (see other former customers below) why are they not facing criminal charges already?

Do not purchase: will waste your time awful customer service

Do not purchase items from this company. Awful customer service and it will take ages to get your item, if you ever do. I did not.

I placed an order for 4 ezra dining room chairs (set of 2) on January 29th 2014. The only correspondence I received from TigerDirect.ca was my initial confirmation of order email and many spam emails about offers. According to the website, the chairs usually ship within 5-7 business days, but the estimated delivery time was set to Feb 18th. Having not heard anything from them past this date I contacted customer service. They seemed to have little knowledge of my order and were unhelpful, however told me the item was in stock and I should wait for an email regarding shipment. No e mail received. So a week and a half later I call again. Politely ask about my order, that no email was received and I am still waiting on my order with no word. He again confirmed it was in stock but he would e-mail me...this time he would make sure of it.
I am a firm believer on treating others with respect so I am generally polite to customer service agents as I know it is not their fault for the faults of the company, but it is their job to be courteous and provide the customer with information. i called today as at this point I am frustrated, 41 days and no word about my chairs. I was met with a rather rude agent named Sharon, who gave me several conflicting sets of information. She stated the items were out of stock and they had put an order in on March 5th. When I questioned why if I ordered the item January 29th that only on March 5th they decided to place the order I was met with silence. She then stated I would have to wait for a reply as they emailed a third party who supply the chairs and they have not responded. When asked how long I would have to wait she said thursday, then tuesday. She was very rude, left me with frequent silent moments when I was not sure if I was on hold or the call dropped. When I asked to speak to a supervisor she stated they were all engaged in a call. I said I would wait, she again attempted to reiterate that I would have to wait for an e mail. She would not put me through to a supervisor. Finally she agreed to look...left me on hold for 5 minutes to come back and say there is no supervisor.
I cancelled my order in the end.
As I have no other way to speak to someone who is in charge and I have been refused, I will warn others to not purchase from this company. They will waste your time and money. I hope the return has been processed correctly. Another thing I will have to worry about.

GREAT FUN REBATE LINK ON THE ORDER CONFRIMATION PAGE IS OFFENSIVE.

For several consecutive years, I had placed tens of orders (ie, THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS OF ORDERS) with TD. I had always found them to be competitive and service oriented.
Today, I placed my LAST ORDER with TD...ANOTHER laptop. On my order confirmation page, there was a link for a "$20 purchase rebate" which turned out to be a SCAM requiring me to sign-on with a purchase discount program. I had to call a toll-free number and be placed on hold to learn that IT WOULD COST ME MONEY TO GET MY REBATE.
I hope you hear me TD...I am DONE. And I suggest that YOU SHOULD BE DONE with the GREAT FUN SCAM.

Never believe they will do mail in rebates for you, they simply take your money and never do any thing for your rebate.

Worst experience in my life

Hello customer satisfaction,

I have recently place my first order from Tiger Direct and I have had too many headaches to ever consider doing this again. All my problems have been unresolved. I had placed an order on the site and because I did not update the item in my cart I did not get the discount. (70$) After calling customer service they had agreed to honor the price match. I was grateful for that. I call and they said no problem they would give me a credit. I now order another Graphic card 300$ and I would like to use my credit. They told me that was fine and I proceed with my order. However, since I ordered online I could not get this credit. (What a scam). Customer service also made a mistake by giving me false information on a product and I am still waiting to get shipping details in order to send it back. It has been days!
TIGER DIRECT WILL DO ANYTHING IN ORDER TO REFUSE RETURNS !!

Now here are my issues.

-I refused one package and they are charging me for shipping. (will contact my credit card company and refuse to pay this absurd charge)
-I have not received my shipping information
-I now have a 70$ in store credit that was not applied to my graphics card and wish to get refunded on my credit card.

Tiger Direct, not even worth a star, classic bait and switch.

I ordered an item on Black Friday (11/29). The other item I ordered a the same time was promptly shipped out on 12/01. Finally on 12/06 I was informed that the other item was on back order but that it should be shipped out by 12/16. I thought fine it's a black Friday item I can understand them running out of stock so I waited. Received another email on 12/23 stating that this item would not ship until 01/02. Still I was understanding. Again on 01/04 I was sent another email stating that it was on back order and that my order would receive priority once it is back in the warehouse. Still I wait. Finally on 01/17 I am fed up and email customer service. I receive back we are sorry the item you ordered is no longer available please contact customer service to arrange for a replacement item. Now I am furious and contact them again telling them I expect the exact brand and size hard drive I originally ordered and that I was perturbed that I had to contact them to find this out. The response was this item isn't unavailable just on back order but I am welcome to cancel my order. I sent a message again on 02/12 (not sure why I bothered) where I got the same drivel of a response.

My problem isn't necessarily that the item is back-ordered (for three months) it is that they have done absolutely nothing to make up for my time they have wasted waiting on this item. I worked retail management for years and know that is not how you treat a customer. Also I see that the exact same item is still listed for sale on their website. So are you telling me that you are still selling items that are back-ordered so more and more people are waiting? I doubt it. You just oversold them at a price point you aren't willing to let anymore go at and are hoping people will just get fed up and cancel their order (classic bait and switch). That isn't me. I will wait it out and eventually contact the authorities and an ambitious lawyer because I am sure I am not the only one that Tiger Direct has done something similar to.

I expect one of three things to happen:
1. Receive my item ASAP.
2. Receive another item by the same manufacturer and at the same size or larger.
3. Wait to receive my item but also receive something else to compensate my time waiting periodically until my item is shipped.

Until one of those things happen I intend to make it my personal mission to tell everyone just what type of unscrupulous company Tiger Direct is and encourage them to shop elsewhere for their computing and electronics needs.

Not a horrible enough word to describe them

The customer service is terrible. Ordered an item with 1-3 day shipping estimate. Two weeks later nothing. Contact them at least fifteen times to hear that it's back ordered from the manufacturer. Fine. Two more weeks pass and I get charged for the item and website says it shipped. They tracking code however shows it was delivered before it even shipped. Two more weeks of contacting them for a tracking number, being told I should wait 24-48 hours and then hear nothing back. Sent an email asking what the status was and get a response saying "I see your issue was resolved, is there anything else I can help you with?" Still don't have my item that I was charged for. Still have to fight with them. Worst company ever. I am going to devote my evening to posting my review in as many places I can find.

Do NOT buy from TigerDirect!

I ordered a computer from TigerDirect. It arrived on schedule, and was easy enough to set up. But then the insanity began: the DVD RW drive they had touted was failing, and would only read CDs.

Okay, that's a simple DIY job. All I needed was a replacement drive. Sic emails and four phone calls later, I still didn't have a response from anyone who understood what I was asking. I had to write a negative rating on their site for the product before the responded. Bear in mind: all I needed was a replacement DVD RW drive, and that's what I asked for.

After several emails had been excahnged, TigerDirect offered to send me a replacement DVD RW drive for a cost of $59.99, which would be refunded when I returned the faulty drive. I authorized them to do EXACTLY THAT.

A few minutes later, I received ANOTHER email, telling me that they COULDN'T send just a drive, and that they were sending an ENTIRE replacement COMPUTER -- for which they had, without authorization, billed me full price. And "my order," as they described it, was already being prepared for shipment.

I emailed them immediately and told them to send nothing, because I was not willing to wipe one computer and set up another one just because they have lousy service. They responded by sending me an "order confirmation" for the order I had just told them not to send.

I have sent an additional two emails telling them not to send another computer, and have told them that no shipment will be accepted, and that we will contest any attempt to bill our card for an unauthorized amount.

I'm waiting to see what their next move will be. I am furious with this ridiculous, unprofessional, unconscionable lack of customer service. I will never do business with TigerDirect again, and advise anyone thinking of buying a refurbished computer or anything else to buy elsewhere. I've gotten better and far more responsive service from people who sell used parts on E-Bay.

BUYER BEWARE!

My first order was fine however recently I have had a problem with an order.
I ordered a tablet online including using my credit card and received a confirmation that it would be sent out. After not hearing anything for 6 days I tried to track the order using the tracking # I was given but it did not work. When I called their sales phone # I was given no help except to be told to purchase another one but in the meantime the price for the exact same one has gone up $70 which in this case was 30%. The rep was actually rude and gave me a non working email address so I could send them copies of their information that they sent me that they now claim they can not find or does not exist.
I also emailed them but they were not much more help. So be careful, you might loose out on an item if it is on sale and in the meantime you might not get what you ordered. After emailing back and forth with them for several days basically they told me to re-order another one. They either do not comprehend English or do not bother to read the emails as they kept repeating things that were gone over in the emails.
They also told me several times to phone them at a phone number that I can not reach from Canada for some reason, after I informed them I can not call that number.
Frankly I now feel lucky that the order for the tablet did not go through as while doing some research on this company I ran across hundreds of complaints with Tigerdirect, they have a reputation for their poor customer service and some real shady practices including rebates and software licenses.
If you look them up on Wikipedia they have a sketchy past including several lawsuits and a run in with the SEC.
In Canada they try and look like they are a Canadian company but are owned by a group out of Florida.

Take your business elsewhere.

I had the worse experience with this company. I ordered an item on Dec. 9th as a Christmas present for my son. On their website, it said that this item would be shipped in 48 hours, so I went ahead and ordered. On Dec. 16th, still no item so I emailed them asking when it was supposed to be delivered. They emailed me back saying it wasn't going to be shipped until the fourth week of Dec. I emailed them back that day saying they needed to cancel the order because I needed it by Christmas and since they were shipping it in the 48 hours promised I wanted to cancel the order and my payment refunded. I got a response on Dec. 18th asking how they wanted me to assist them with my order. I emailed them back saying I wanted the order cancelled and my payment refunded, just like I had stated in the previous email. Dec. 22nd. I get an email saying that they have requested that it be cancelled through their 3rd party shipper but if the item was to be somehow delivered, they wanted me to refuse the package upon delivery. Still no refund at this point. Dec. 30th, I get home and UPS has left a package at my door. This package does not say Tiger Direct anywhere on it so I opened it. Guess what it was? So now I contact them letting them know that I have the package and I opened it so I needed to find out how to return it so I can finally get my money back. Jan. 1st-I get an email saying "Kindly provide us for with the UPC number of the item received as well as the condition of the box (i.e. opened or unopened) so that we could request the RMA be issued. We greatly appreciate your understanding on this matter." even though I had provided all this information in previous emails, etc (I believe this is part of a stall tactic on their part to just make your give up and they can keep your money). I email them back with the information. Jan 3- I get an email saying they have requested a RMA # so I can return the item and to allow them 1-2 business days for this. Jan 8th, email them back because I haven't received the RMA in order to return the item (more stall tactics). Then guess what appears in an email after this request- the RMA.... So I go into town( I live 15 miles outside of town in the country, so I have to make a trip to town just to take this to a UPS store) on Jan. 11th and return the item. Jan. 17th, still no refund so I email them asking when I will get my refund. Guess what? Shortly after I sent this email, I get a refund but its only partial- they refunded all but $4.37. So I sent another email asking, where is the rest of my refund? I get another email back saying that we already processed the refund. I send another email explaining why they needed to refund the whole amount since this whole issue was their fault because their lies on their website. I get this response- You will receive your full refund within 3-5 business days. Jan. 28th- still no refund of the $4.37 so I email them again. Finally, on Jan. 30th, I get my whole refund. This whole business went on for a month... and at every step I had to ask twice to get anything done. I think this is a tactic that they use to make your give up. Don't do business this this company unless you want a month's worth of headaches dealing with them !

CUSTOMER SERVICE LOCATED OVERSEAS TOO LAZY TO READ YOUR EMAIL, THEY DON'T SOLVE PROBLEMS BUT IN FACT THEY CREATE MORE PROBLEMS .

Worst online experience ever!

If I could give this horrendous company a star rating of '0' I would!

Without a doubt one of the worst order and customer service experiences I have ever had with any company, and I am an avid and frequent online shopper.

After ordering 2 months ago and being told our sale item was on backorder only after we inquired, we were then given the run around on the phone and not allowed to speak to a manager of any sort. When inquiring again via email and phone we were told it was backordered but it might be canceled, after waiting already for weeks! Then without any notice we received a notice via email stating it was 'backordered' Uhh yah, no kidding, that was 2-3 weeks ago! So after waiting until after the Christmas holiday and being very patient customers, January 23rd, 2014 rolls around and we call only to be told, 'Oh yah. Your order was canceled a month ago' ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!??? NO NOTIFICATION OF THIS AND IN ADDITION, WAS THERE A PARTICULAR REASON we were not notified of this screw up when we SPOKE ON THE PHONE AND INQUIRED AGAIN!?! The issue with their lack of product supply and stock was known very early on and we the paying customer were left in the dark?? Yes, that makes total sense. So, we missed out on all other boxing day sales etc because of this extremely poor outsourced company. I would use sarcasm here, but I doubt it would be understood, so...THANKS FOR WASTING Over 2 MONTHS OF MY TIME effort and patience, when I needed a new laptop asap!

I strongly suggest no one order from this clearly completely disorganized piss poor excuse for a company! I will NEVER order from them again and am ashamed they are even claiming to be CANADIAN! NOT very Canadian of you TigerINDirect!!
