Where's my cash back? Evreybody is getting their's but me!!!! Am I just paranoid?

I went on car insurance comparison sites, took out two policies via those sites and after the promise of cash back (can't remember how much now) nothing, zip, nada! Tried to register a claim, one site doesn't do claims and the other may not be the one I visited! Ah well, as usual, all those promises I get and nothing comes of it. Not too bothered really, I never expected much and guess what? 'Not much' was what I got! Does this just happen to me? It would be nice for that well worn cliché to come true just once: "it does what it says on the tin". No it doesn't, not always, in my paranoid, pessimistic world, never! Probably won't bother with the hassle of Top Cash Back again.

Still not received payment

Took out a contract with NPower at end of September and even after several phone calls have not received my cashback. They blame Topcashback for not processing the claim. I don't know who to blame.

Cut and paste replies and poor customer interaction

I would recommend Top Cashback but there are some things they really need to address.
1. Get rid of the cut and paste replies. If they cannot answer a query then they will just fob you off with a cut and paste reply.
2. Sort out their computer system that closes accounts from what I have heard and read and then see no.1 for no responses.
3. They need to listen to their customers. Why do they keep advertisers on who don;t pay. What is the point in upsetting your customers.

I can assure you that our Accounts Team will respond to members as quickly as possible, sometimes it can take a little longer to respond than we would like, but we have our members best interests in mind when trying to assist with any account issues. We take any feedback provided by our members on board and will always work hard to get any outstanding cashback paid as quickly as possible, this can take longer than we anticipate on occasions, but by working alongside our merchants and their networks, we aim to bring the payable speed of transactions up to a level that we like to provide our members with. Some transactions such as those for home or car insurance will always take that bit longer to progress, this is due to validation periods that need to be completed before the merchant will then produce the cashback.

excellent when the purchases track

was fine when I first joined but now I frequently have to submit claims for missing transactions albeit from the same merchant so it could be the merchants system rather than topcashback, but overall quite pleased

Easy reliable money back for stuff I was going to buy anyway!

I always use Topcashback if I'm buying anything on-line. I've used it for flight, hotels, my TV, my sofa, train tickets, hotels and even my hay fever tablets. Some things you can get, other things you can't but in the majority of the cases I have found a cash back deal for things I was going to buy anyway. Its still always worth looking for the cheapest price you can find 1st, but then once you've found the best price, see if the shop is available on Topcashback and get even more money off. Better off in your pocket than the big corporations.

Great when it works

I have actually ordered from Curryspcworldcashback twice and my purchases never registered, and so I received no cash back. This has put me off using Top Cashback. However I had a really good experience using Hotels.com and received the cash back easily. I don't know what the usual result is, but the fact that a company as big as curryspcworldcashback has problems is definitely off putting.

I am sorry that you did not see your transactions track for you, did you lodge a claim for each of these? Looking at each merchant, I cannot see that there has been any tracking problems, please can you check that you still have browsing cookies enabled on your PC/laptop? Do you clear them regularly? Do you turn off any ad-blockers that you may have installed when visiting site? These things can all have an affect on your tracking. I hope that you see your tracking improve for you, please do not hesitate to contact us on a support ticket of you do find that you are still experiencing tracking issues though.

terrible rip you off then not able to log in again

bad experience they claimed money off the merchant and when I claimed it they held it back and after filling in support ticket after support ticket they wiped my email off and couldn't log back in don't bother with this site they are just making money out of good honest people I have contacted them through email and no response waste of time

Once good, now terrible - UPDATED

Topcashback has been getting gradually worse over the past year. Merchants were failing to track, then they stopped paying out with no means of reversing the decision, then Topcashback started making you pay for their service & most recently, they decided to change, in the face of established consumer laws, the terms & conditions on one of their cashback offers. At the time of redemption, the offer was tracked, but a day later a message was sent out to all customers saying that the cashback was not valid unless the subscription was carried over into a second month, incurring a cost of £26. The cashback was for £25 & as such was of no interest to me. Topcashback have flaunted advertising law by refusing to honour what they originally advertised & I for one will steer well clear of these crooks now.

UPDATE: Topcashback have done a 180 on this recent gaffe & appear to be honouring the original advertised offer. I am cautiously raising my rating back to 3 stars & will see how things progress. There has certainly still been a drop off in service since I originally signed up for this site but hopefully things are improving.

Sometimes when a merchant comes back with a declined reason, we are not always in a position to be able to re-appeal this for you on the claim, but where we can, we will. In regards to membership levels, we are happy to discuss reverting members to Classic Membership and removing the £5 yearly admin fee if they feel that Plus Membership is not for them. You should have now received a second support ticket regarding your transaction with The Times, with some further information relating to your purchase. Hopefully this of assistance.

Could be more proactive with some merchants

Overall, I've had a good experience. There have been occasions where claims have been rejected due to the merchant saying I've been referred via another method. Despite this being incorrect,there is obviously no way of me proving otherwise.

There are also some merchants that take a very Long time to respond to claims. I currently have one outstanding for nearly 4 months and despite putting comments and nudges on my claim, I am no further forward which is frustrating. More proactive ness in chasing or at least some communication to acknowledge my chases would be preferred.

Say that though, I will continue to use TCB and I do recommend this site to my friends.
