1 star doesn't even do justice on how bad the service is

Viaddress charged me for the shipping for my product more than a month ago. Till today, I still haven't received anything from them. Email them a few time but still no response.

Worst address forwarding service PERIOD. Based on my experience and online review, I begin to think this Viaddress is a scam.

Thieves or incompetent??

It has been over a month since I was foolish enough to have goods sent to Viaaddress. I looked at a couple of glowing reviews but didn't follow up and notice that they were exact copies of the website's text. Now that I have no goods and have lost money on paying exhorbitant shipping rates for goods that will never arrive I have discovered that they pay people $10 to place these positive reviews.

Please do not use these people, they are either thieves or just incompetent. Eitherway you would be foolish to use them.

Bad experience

don't trust viadress. they didn't send my delivery. they don't answer my mail or phone.they are useless. read about viadress in internet. a lot of people hate them..

Just incredibly slow...

VIAddress used to have an OK service, a bit slow, and a bit expensive, but a reasonable 3 star service... However the last couple of times I've used VIAddress it took them over a month to forward my stuff, that is not acceptable... I recommend that you use some of the other forwarding businesses out there.

poor parcel tracking system. very slow response

The parcel tracking system of viaddress is very poor, difficult to use and update The first goods sent to them were confirmed quite quickly. however I have confirmation of receipt of the goods I have bought for 2 weeks and yet viaddress has not yet updated my account. I informed them of this and sent them details of all my confirmations of delivery a week ago on their convoluted system of feedback and 7 days later they deleted this complaint letter.

Lowest Shipping Rates to forward packages.

After doing a lot of research on package forwarding companies and after comparing their Pros and Cons I decided to go with Viaddress.

I registered on Viaddress a few weeks ago to avoid the high shipping rates at other companies and I'm glad I did.
The shipping rates at Viaddress are the lowest if you're looking to forward packages from the US to Europe. I simply could not find any other cheaper service.

Despite some delays in processing my shipments, my packages arrived safely to my house and in very good condition.
I was impressed with the quality of the packaging. Everything was double boxed with plenty of cushioning and well sealed with the Viaddress logo tape all around them.
This assured me that my packages were not even opened when they passed though customs office. In fact, they have not even spent more than a few hours clearing customs.

I highly recommend to use Fedex Express Shipping instead of Standard Shipping, in my case, I was able to receive my express shipment within 2 business days --actually it was even less than 48 hours...

I purchased a siamese kitten from New York, and had Viaddress deliver the package to me in Belgium. They were great and very professional. However, to be honest, at first I had my doubts. But I shouldn't have worried - they offered the most professional service possible. They really rolled out the red carpet for me.

I had earlier emailed them and asked them to call me when the package arrived. Not expecting them to do so, I was pleasantly surprised when I received a very polite call from someone called Emma who informed me that the package had arrived on time, and that the staff were enjoying feeding the kitten and making sure it felt at home in their warehouse. She asked if they could upgrade my shipping method to helicopter at no extra charge. Naturally I agreed on the spot!

Then the most extraordinary thing happened. The package arrived at my house fully one day before they sent it from their warehouse, and two days before I had purchased the kitten. How's that for speed? Furthermore, they had consolidated the parcel and repackaged it in three layers of foam, cardboard and aluminium sheeting, and provided all their services -concierge, purchasing, consolidation and many other services repeatedly mentioned in the other reviews on this web site. . Anyway, inside the package was my kitten - alive and well - and still purring from all the TLC they had given it in their warehouse. They had added a surprise to the package. There was a black puppy and a small green budgerigar in there as well, which the wonderful viaddress staff had slipped in. My wife and I were thrilled, and called viaddrress customer service immediately to thank them. This is where the strange part of my story begins, as no matter how many times I called them and emailed them, I simple couldn't get through. I tried calling them at all hours of the day and night, tried their web site, their office number, and even the fake phone number from their whois record. After several months of failed communications, I was beginning to get concerned. Until, i realised that in fact I was hallucinating, and in fact the package had never arrived, that I was instead contacting the police station in their town in the USA, and trying to recover my package by any and all means possible. Then when I explored more deeply, I discovered that all the positive reviews I had been reading about the company were fake, and that they were well known on the internet for running a fraudulent and unethical operation. How dumb did I now feel? And how sorry for that poor unsuspecting kitten dying of hunger under a pile of undelivered parcels in a dark warehouse somewhere in the mid-west of the USA?

Good package forwarding services

I bought my office supplies from amazon.com as there are few merchants who offer very attractive prices. I used the viaddress service because one of my offshore offices in Philippines needs few items that were not available there. I send those items using their package forwarding services.

a reliable package forwarding company

It is hard to find a reliable package forwarding company that gives you freedom from all kind of worries. I noticed that a lot of companies lie to their customers about everything. As one of friends package was never delivered even though she paid all their charges. This is the special thing about viaddress that they do what they promised. They deliver my items on the exact day which was mentioned in their email.

Viaddress is NOT a scam

I joined Viaddress and had two parcels sent to my suite in mid November 2010. I didn't see the instructions regarding the USPS regulations regarding identification and when I hadn't heard anything reread the website and sent in the ID info. Both items then appeared and I collated and had the items sent by Fedex Priority in a 4KG box for $53 in mid Dec. The items arrived today Dec 31, 2010. If you look at how Viaddress makes it's money the only option is a few bucks on the shipping. They collect, store, combine, fill out customs forms etc and ship the goods. No wonder they don't have loads of people manning computers, chat rooms, toll free numbers etc. There just isn't enough in it.
I am writing this because I feel Viaddress has been given a rough time. I must admit that the service is not great but what do you expect for the meagre return they receive? I would'nt do it for the lousy return and all the abuse they must get when someone expects their goods immediately and then spits their venom all over the internet. Get real. You only get what you pay for.

Lowest shipping rates, excellent service.

I don't usually bother leaving a positive feedback, but after having a great experience with Viaddress, I decided to share a little about it.

I was shopping for some baby stuff for our unborn daughter and to my biggest disappointment, most of the Amazon and ebay sellers did not ship outside the United States. I also found other stuff on the US Amazon site that were 3 times cheaper than the prices in the UK Amazon...

One of my coworkers told me about using a Package forwarding service so after doing some research and comparison for the shipping rates to Europe, I found out that Viaddress had the lowest shipping rates out there.

All I had to do is use the shipping calculator available from 4 or 5 package forwarding companies and I realized that Viaddress was always the cheapest and sometimes by more than half of what other companies were asking for.

I was a little concerned about how they were going to ship a massive baby stroller so I called them and they told me that they just ship it in the same packaging as it comes from them the Amazon vendor and if anything happens to it, they can assist me in returning it to the Vendor for an exchange or a refund. I thought that was quite helpful and reassuring.

I signed up for Free, and I was able to get a US address instantly, which was great because I was checking out on Amazon simultaneously. I received a notification by email once my package arrived to my suite at Viaddress and I was able to pay for the postage by Paypal to combine and forward all my stuff to me.

I received the Tracking information and I was able to track my package at every step since it left their warehouse in Indiana until it reached my house doorsteps in London, UK

They combined all my purchases from 8 vendors in 3 large boxes which saved me tons of money on shipping. Everything came well packaged and combined together. The Viaddress Seal tape was wrapped around all the boxes which assured me that nothing was opened during the customs inspection when entering the UK... I found that kinda odd but oh well...

Overall, my first experience using Viaddress was Excellent and I would certainly use them again.

I highly recommend it to anyone who's trying to shop from the US.

Avoid using this mail forwarding service

Viaddress has paid people from developing countries to post positive reviews on this and a number of other web sites. Unfortunately, a large number of people have been tricked into signing up for their services and have been scammed (myself included). Viaddress or their extended laborforce, routinely discredit negative reviews as the work of their competitors. I would like to assure you that this review is genuine.

Shocking service. stay well away from them

I have had two shipments delivered to them by usps and they refuse to acknowledge they have arrived. The usps web site shows they were delivered to viaddress over a week ago. Despite many emails and calls (that goes to answerphone) and no response I have giving up hope. It looks like they have scammed me out of my purchases, next step will be to contact a friend who lives in the States and find out how I can set the police onto these people.

Update on the review - Jan 1.

I finally got a reply email that indicated my items had been "delivered" - 3 weeks after they were actually delivered. Great I thought, things are moving along. Another email explained they had just changed premises and received a massive backlog of deliveries, this in part could explain the delay (but the customer service side is still really poor).
I immediately consolidated my items and paid for shipping. Now when I log on and check, it still says I need to pay for shipping!!!! I've emailed them countless times and logged "another" complaint via their new web process, all to no avail. 3 weeks later and still no shipping details, no response to emails or their web based complaints system.
If I ever get my stuff I believe it will be a minor miracle and even if I did get it, I'd be hard pressed to change my rating as the customer service is so poor it is beyond belief.

Update 23 Jan - Two weeks ago 2 of my items disappeared from my suite. Viaddress will not respond. I have emailed the Elkhart county sheriffs dept to lodge a complaint of fraud. Ray is looking into it for me, he said it will take a while as there are a LOT of complaints about them. Details are:

Unresponsive, slow, overcharging issues

My Fedex shipment was received from Viaddress on Nov 13. Weight of the received boxes was 20.24lb. Combined volumetric weight of the received boxes, according to the Fedex online calculator (and the DHL online calculator, for a cross ref.), was 32lb. To ship a consignment of that chargeable weight to my home country costs $103.06, according to the shipping calculator at the Viaddress.com website. However, Viaddress did not repack items according to my very specific instructions that were acknowledged by email. After the consignment sent by Viaddress arrived, I repacked it myself according to my own instructions. All items fitted easily into a single 19 inch x 11 inch x 13 inch box. The box's weight was only 16.72lb, to give a total volumetric weight of only 20lb. To ship a consignment of that chargeable weight to my home country costs $77.34, according to the shipping calculator at the Viaddress.com website. The total given value of the consignment was $380. A 1% mandatory insurance charge would add $3.80, for a grand total of $81.14. This was the service that should have been provided and the total price that should have been billed. To date, I have paid Viaddress $87.15 plus $56.66, for a total of $143.81. Two payments were made because Viaddress sought payment twice through its website. I made a second payment only to avoid additional delays with my shipment. It was not clear that Viaddress had not followed my instructions and had unnecessarily repacked my items into two separate boxes that look like they were recycled from the local supermarket. (I kid you not.) I have made numerous attempts to call Viaddress at its given telephone numbers. Voicemail answers at all hours of the working day. Online chat at the Viaddress website is permanently offline. Queries by email of the amount charged by Viaddress have gone unanswered. The only good news is that they finally sent my dogs and I our goodies, instead of wearing them, eating them, and squeaking them -- as well as overcharging us for the privilege of being ignored. I’m working on getting a refund and I won’t be using their services again.

good service.....BUT

i use viaddress to ship goods dwn to UK. the service has been quite good , but i have noticed they have removed the subsription fee....how do they then make money. They have done so in my case by inflating the weight of goods to be shipped to me. I bought some goods from a supplier for weight of 35lb and 12lb. they put it in my shipping cart as 49lb and 24 lb respectively. They also stripped the packaging from the 2 boxes and consolidated into one, whi ch should obviously reduce the total weight. i think their prices are the most reasonable of all, but they should be upfront about things and not inflate weight of goods just to make money from FEDEX, DHL, etc

I would totally agree with viadrress.com. I have used Shipito several times in the past and have nothing but great things to say about them. I have tried and tested so many of these comapnies but havent found anything cheaper than shipito. Just so that you get an idea; I wanted a 2 lb package shipped to Canada and shipito guys charged me $15 bucks as compared to myus who gave me a quote of $46 dollars. So, ya..for me shipito guys were a steal! Hope you find one you like!

Have used this site numerous times and always had a great experience with them. I've used them a number of times over a number of days and received numerous freebies along with my orders which have always been quick to arrive.
Blame US customs for the fact you can't receive things if you order from the US - that's not the company's fault. It happens exactly the same in reverse when we (in the UK) try to get stuff from the US - believe it or not the US does have a messed up overkill perspective when it comes to the illusion of security!
